Building on what Devian said: upgrade the bar but first progress with Kali's story a few beats. You'll know why once you've done it and upgrading the bar will be significantly easier for you.

Exactly. Not the first time they were changed, and likely won't be the last. Runey is nicer about it than most, but those are supposed to be supporter only codes, and most of them will break your game if you use them.
First try a different tool for extraction. The Ren'Py development environment uses its built-in ZIP tool for creating the distributions. It doesn't quite follow the ZIP standard. Most extraction tools don't care and extract these non-standard archives just fine. But a few are pedantic. They notice the 'problem' and either refuse extraction altogether or extract with a warning. This problem, which exists with most ZIP files available on this site, is obviously not fixed by a re-upload.
Well I never had the issue before on virtually any upload on this site especially with renpy games. I checked the main download off the itch page and it came out to the same error. When I clicked on the backup download link(directs you to mediafire download) on itch it worked flawlessly and the game ran. Are you sure you checked the downloads?
No, I didn't check anything. I am just a random user who happens to be a software developer -- except I recently researched the very problem I described in my post. It's possible that the one working link leads to a repackaged version. Possibly one that was patched for some reason.
He was sick recently, so he's only resuming work again. We haven't been given an ETA on a final release. I think we've only ever had one beta posted here and it caused all sorts of havok with folk's saves, so my suggestion would be to wait for the next full release or be prepared to do some troubleshooting on your own in the event something goes south.

I understand your point and that you're not the uploader. I was only asking if you had the same issue as me to see IF your point IS the problem here. I have always used the built in Archive Manager in Ubuntu to extract Renpy games and never had an issue until now like this. I've never required the need to use a different tool for archives before under Ubuntu. This is the only reason why I am posting about my experience here. I am not expecting anyone to jump on it right away.
kinda karma dick move due to jinx as a few scene or sentence before, she was nearly saying that the only one who should worry about being half elf is ashley ... then septic tank hit the fan and it get uggly -_- (which mc know is wrong has personally i got told she had only 3% elf dna before that event >< i also knew shit could get uggly as i had spoken to kallie's friend both history nerd and the rebel one and miss nutcraker)
