I love this game. I really do. Sexy girls, quality pics and animations. But lately it seems to be more interested in a long drawn out storyline as opposed to the reason I started playing this game in the first place. I actually fell asleep while playing it today. I'm happy as anyone else for a story but please Runey don't forget the reason why we're all here

And what reason would that be hmmmm? Are you speaking for everyone who plays this?

Hey, just wanted to let you know that this is an amazing game. I have found a bug though. I was playing the Ashley storyline and took her to the beach (not first time but i thingk third or fourth) and this is what happened.

I will add my save file to so you can have a better look.

With high regards,

Started a new game from the beginning with the new release, but I'm having issues triggering the event where Ellen shows you the room behind the counter. At the moment she seems to have disappeared from the game.

I've attached my save file for reference.

Don't forget Lin helping us with Ellen. Would be nice if we were more than just a fling just before bed eventually. I get her taking time to get over her lost love before she finds another though.

On the topic of the game's story (and even general direction), i can only talk for myself, but i will say story is never something i look for in a porn game. I'm usually looking for... well... porn. That's why i very rarely play visual novels: i have no interest in reading sometimes hours of cutscenes just to get to a single, sometimes very short, scene. That's why i usually drop any game that takes more than a couple minutes to both: give me control of the character and give me some porn (serious, why the heck do developers think it's a nice idea to have sometimes half hour prologes to their porn games?! Especially when those prologes are just "click next simulator")

Now, Harem Hotel is pretty much an exception to me, as it's a more sandbox-ish type of visual novel that balances out it's story and porn very well (for the most part). But i would still say the story parts are... well, i never really liked them, and aways felt they were a chore i had to skim through to get to what really matters to me. Sorry, but when i'm horny i won't get invest in a ten minutes flashback or exposition, as engaging as the developer tries to make them.

Now, i'm not trying to offend enyone. By the end of the day, this is Runey's game, and they do what they see fit. But with any art, there is the vision of the author, and there is what the audience absorves, and that last bit will vary greatly from person to person. I believe many here love those characters, and care for them as one would any regular character from a story one really likes. And while i do care for this characters a lot more than i do in other porn games, i'm not still quite that into them. I still come back to this game for the porn first, and i believe many would feel the same.

It's not a matter of right and wrong, it's just everyone has their preferences and their own unique way of interacting with each piece of media they consume.

They should probably start releasing the updates as separate downloads kinda like how Treasure of Nadi does it. These are huge downloads.

Runey I must have played a hundred games from here over the years, but I can count on one hand the number of them that actually made me really feel something (well, beyond the obvious). It's 4. In no particular order, they are; the choice from Acting Lessons (if you've played it you'll know which one I mean), Luna's backstory in The DeLuca Family, Melody's ending in Freeloading Family, and Ashley's storyline here. I consider all of those games to be amongst the best-written games here.

I'm currently in the very early stages of making a VN in my spare time myself, so I'm beginning to understand just how hard creating compelling dialogue really is. If the eventual end result of that is even half as good as yours I'll be happy with it.

I gotta agree with you on all accounts. I think part of the problem is that I've completed all of the exhibition/dungeon "side quest" scenes, so really the only new sex scenes are from the main story which require clicking through hours of dialogue for that doesn't particularly intrigue me when I just want to bust a nut.
