I don't want sound in the game. Not because you couldn't mute them, but because of the work it would be needed to be done good.
Make only sex sound in it? A few "ahh", "ohh" and any other things? It would be a waste of resource. In
my eyes it would add nothing to the game, only make it bigger and waste Runey's time on this.
If you fully voice the game, it could add something to it, but would need a lot of resource, will increase the size of the game quite a lot (sure, for voice it exist codec that simulate you're whole vocal organ and could maybe be use for this...).
So Runey would need to search for voice actors that he could pay, that are willing to this and are the right one for the cast, then to have to spend several hundreds hours in supervising the recording, postwork and finally integrate them in the game.
With three major disadvantage:
- People can simple dislike the voice actor and drop their support
- Runey would need to split his work time between the add of sound and the work he already do, resulting in less game content per time unit (thus people could drop their support because of this)
- Voice actor can be unavailable for any reason. Thus either change the affected voice actor completely or change them in the game in the middle. Neither solution is a ideal one. Perfect case he find one that is nearly the same as the previous one, worst case he must redo their act (means in worst case also redo the scene where multiple voice actors are needed) and even after this task people could drop their support because the don't like the new voice actor.
So, I don't see adding sound to a game a good idea for a small people or even single person project. Additional I don't think it is a good idea to add sound in the middle of development, either do it from the start or at the end. And last but not least I don't think you should do voice acting before you have all the scene in the game that need voice acting.
It has been three years since the first post here one the zone for this game, so at least 3 years development time for Harem Hotel. So a lot could have happen to the voice actress in the mean time and in regarding to this it would be wise to do voice acting in a (relative) short amount of time to minimise this risk (and also to conserve some money).
Also "bro", you need to "chill". The other say how they see their things, same as you do. Only Runey know, if he know, what are the plans or where he takes this journey. From all the user engage here, only you want voice acting, thus I don't see that your claims that this would benefit the work proofed.
For myself, I don't know if I would mute the game or not, but I tend that I would mute it, thus I see it as a waste of
limited rescourses.
