I fucked it up trying to get all the girls to the right levels I guess, but now I'm locked out til the next version. Oh well it happens.

Download the update patch and you should be able to finish - that's what I did. I'm still on 17.1, but Runey created a special prompt to let you access the storyline.

Because it fixed some of the bugs, but either we found more, or it broke something else. ...it happens.

I think that's a fair perspective. I don't want him to be a main character, I want him to be you, "a normal guy". But I understand that you may want to do more than him.

In that specific case I felt like people would have wanted it to continue, so I didn't include an option to stop it.

But he is the narrative vehicle that pushes the story forward. If it weren't for him encouraging people to be themselves and supporting their every effort, the main characters could not be heroes. And that's the point of it, I want to show that being supportive is a good and enjoyable thing. Though it isn't for everyone I suppose.

I think some of us "normal guys" would be proactive and intervene when something bad is happening to someone we care about or simply to someone we might not know but we have the opportunity to step in and help someone out. I think that would apply to the person who made that comment, otherwise it wouldn't bother him so much. Same with me, I definitely would speak up or physically intervene if I was witnessing something bad happening to someone.

The MC does that on occasion, like with saving Peni, but he lives a fine line. AFAIK, he is not a citizen yet, can't legally own slaves directly, and so on. There is a limit to what he can do, if he wants to stay there.

I still think that studying for a citizenship test would be a great way to do a lore dump.

just an observation but I feel like the story keeps hinting at the MC's death (natural or just killed) by Lin(when she was mad), Jinny, and the android. So far the story does not have a happily ever after.

There is a lot of remade stuff, but there is also still a bug from starting over it seems, so you might want to take your time going through it, and hope the patch comes out again soon. Runey is good at that.

Hi Runey , looks like with v0.17.2, the bug with "kali_nude5" image not found (a nude image of Kali while she's at Syltech) still exists, hope you can check. All other images works fine, only when she replies to MC with "Fucking perv..." message then this bug appears.

I had the same problem, found the solution later:

now I am confused lol v17.2 made things worse for me lol before, in v17.1, I could get all Kali requested nudes in college, now I only get 1 and another one is all black screen....

I'm going to try a clean install later, no mod first and with Lain mod next.

Edit: clean install, with(out) mod installed, it works fine now.

do a clean install and it will work fine both with or without Lain mod. I think for some reason the update link to 17.2 didn't cope well updating v17.1 (my case with mod already in) or something lol

Edit2: this is not a solution for anything, its a bug that is still active at v17.2. only solution is for the dev to correct it in one of the next versions.

I just had the impression that before I had an option to visit Kali in her Corpus apartment and now I can't, now I am forced to stay at the hotel. hmmm yeah I remember visit her there because of her latest event, but its just that, maybe I am wrong.
