Are you talking about the complete game? Do you know how long games take to make? If you think I'll be done in a year, then you must think this is going to be a very short game.

You do realize that the biggest games on this site have been in production for close to 10 years or more right? lol

Are you guys new around here? You know magic isn't real right? I don't have a magic game dev wand. I'm one dude, writing THOUSANDS of lines of code, posing, lighting and rendering images, writing story, and creating icons and UI...

I'll tell you what... Why don't you go make ONE UI Button... Just one... Then come back and tell me when you're done. We'll judge it here together in public. And you can also tell me how long it took you to make that single button. lol
Honestly, don't bother to respond to the trolls. It just encourages them.

I believe the opposite. I think by ignoring them you enable them to go around doing it to other devs. It's kind of like being that kid in highschool who walks around bullying everyone because no one's ever punched them in the face... Once they get punched, they're like "Oh, you know that sucks... I'm not going to do that anymore." At least that's the way I see it.

The problem is, so many dev's on here ignore it for so long, it bottles up, and they eventually quit because they're sick of the people in the forums shitting on them. They feel like, "Why give people my work if they're just going to disrespect me." Which is a valid thought. But that's not how I work. If you come to disrespect me, I'll publicly roast you. It's sort of therapy for me. lol.

This obviously is not the case for people who just came to tell me they found a bug, or what they wish was in the game. That's all fine and constructive. It's only the people who come here to disrespectfully complain or talk shit. I feel like they need to be shamed back into the hole they crawled out of.

Also if you guys like what I'm doing with the games direction so far, feel free to leave a review. I need good ones to counterbalance the guys who gave me 1 star after I roasted them for being douches. lol

Just as an aside, as a consumer, I do not need the developer in the forums defending themself to distinguish bad and worthless takes. Here is an example:

On a game specifically about ntr and cheating, I will immediately discount any and all posts about ntr being a waste of space, shouldnt be on the site, should be ignorable, etc

If the developer does jump in with a gigantic diatribe, then I have a new piece of evidence to look at, though, and thats why does he feel like he has to justify himself to some random troll that doesnt like what he or she is doing in the first place, and, it can be quite a turn-off.

So while it might feel good to say to random internet trolls, I am honestly unsure that there is any tangible benefit, where I am pretty sure there is definitely potential pitfalls. I'd been considering supporting back on 0.5 but there is so much negativity around here now, I just honestly no longer vibe with it.

Everyone with something to say always says "I was GOING to support, but of course I never did."... lol

Look dude, I don't bring negativity. I'm VERY positive with everyone here who has had a genuine concern, or something to say. It's clear if you read through the comments.

I ONLY say something back, when they absolutely deserve it. And if you're not down with that, then my games forum isn't the place for you. Because I'm not going to let rude people come take a stab at me or my game, and let them walk. Unless of course it's constructive criticism of course. I'm not a doormat. So if you think I SHOULD be one, then you'd be wrong.

Thing is, you can completely refute everything they say, and it won't matter. They are protected by online anonymity, they aren't going to get banned, and what you say won't change their behavior at all. They will just take glee at having gotten under your skin.

Yea, you're not wrong there. Unfortunately. But I would feel worse if I let them walk after being a dick. Plus, like I said, I kind of enjoy it. I'm always at my PC working on this game so the moment my game gets a notification, I read it. And half the time I'm waiting for a render to finish so I have a couple minutes to respond.

Granted, I wish the trolls would just go make their own game and learn about the process. That would change how they react to games for sure. And it would be a lot better for my anxiety to not have to deal with these people. But I see them everywhere. On every dev's page, doing the same thing. And someone has to give it back. If I have to be king of the assholes, I'm willing to be that. lol

But I do understand your point.

I dig the vibe and direction. A lot. Not against AI when it comes to animation or coding, whatever, but the script, in my opinion and perhaps also true, is AI SLOP. Wordy and shallow.

I'm interested in the game and will follow its development but my advice would be to take your foot off the AI gas when it comes to the writing.

I don't use AI for writing. lol. So basically, you don't like my writing. You should complain to Full Sail University who taught me to write scripts.
I use AI for Post Production on my Daz Renders, and I use it to help me find bugs. That's it. Oh and for making Paintings and Magazine Images QUICKLY, which I then photoshop.
I really hate the term AI slop... A lot of AI shit is fucking amazing and people just see that it's AI so they call it slop.
Also, when it comes to my writing, you just can't call it AI slop because AI doesn't write it. If I'm being wordy and shallow in my writing, that's my fault. Not AI's.

But realistically, I've read a lot of AVN's out there... And let's be real, they're not award winning novels. So I think I'm doing good enough.

Appreciate you digging the vibe and direction though.

That's lol indeed. But fair enough AND I apologize for indirectly calling your writing poo.

When I say slop, I mean it in the literal sense and only when referring to writing. Slop are tells and inconveniences that create more work refining problems. Whether something is sloppy or a little lazy though? Meh. Like you said, let's be realistic with our expectations of AVNs.

Also agreed, AI is impressive in many ways.

No hard feelings. I never claimed to be a writer anyway. I think I'm okay at it. But I wouldn't get a job as a writer. And to be quite honest, I only first touched Daz, Ren'Py, and visual novel game design stuff this year. So I'm sure I'll get better as the years go on. Hopefully I get the best at UI design though because that's I think my biggest pitfall. I HATE my UI work...
My actual experience is in short films, VFX, editing, and music. Those things I'd say I'm above average at. But I don't use any of that in game design unfortunately. Except for in my renders, I know where to place a camera to make it look cinematic.

Anyway, again, no worries.

I like your games. I like your writing. Played the other two games and they were entertaining, especially Stuffing. Really impressed with your model for our FMC in this game. Looking forward to seeing what comes next. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Awesome! Glad you like it.
There's a LOT more characters coming later in Harvesting Corruption as you travel to other locations. :)

No offense, but if you played for 5 minutes you were holding the skip button down trying to get to a sex scene.

Not my problem. It's not that kind of game. If you're going to hold the skip button down, don't complain you got through a game that's been in development for 3 months, in 5 minutes.

What's crazy is you downloading a free game, and coming to complain it didn't have enough for you to do after you held the skip button through all the dialogue.

That's three months of work. From scratch. I'd LOVE to see you make a bigger game in that time. Absolutely would LOVE it. lol

Where do you people come from?

I wish you guys would filter yourselves out. It's exhausting having to deal with people like you.

Have you considered that your game might just have a bit too much going on? Like in your original design document / flowchart of the story / basic plot outline, is it intentional that 90 percent of the gameplay is clicking UI elements over the same 5 jpgs? You have a minimap, but you also have a bigger minimap that is the game world itself - buttons that don't show until you mouse over them, etc. Moving around the world feels long and kind of pointless, there doesn't actually seem to be a reason for it to even be sandbox. You have really restrictive stuff around needing to hit specific sequences in order to have a shower - mirror, toilet, bath, etc. and there doesn't really seem to be branching paths or events to discover out of sequence, so the sandbox is kind of just getting in the way of itself.

I think you have good renders and the art should be the strength you lean into. This exact same game, played out something a little closer to a visual novel with choices, or with a simplified sandbox of just an overworld map like your minimap but with a few more details - something halfway between the two things you have going at the same time - I think the overall playing experience would improve greatly. Try to only fill the world as much as you need to around your actual scenes and story, rather than build a big world and then struggle to fill it - if that makes sense. That leaves you a bit more free to focus on your scenes and renders. I think the majority of players would prefer almost instant travel between good sex scenes / plot, rather than needing much immersion in traveling the world. Think of how annoying needing to get buses in some classic rpgmaker games starts to get vs just being able to click your house on a map, for example.

Having said that, it's your game to do whatever you like with - just throwing some cents at the pile. Cheers, keep up the good work
