If said child had somehow successfully lived entirely on their own, then you would most likely be correct in regards to where her focus would have been. However, I very much doubt little Lisa would or even could have gone on living for very long at all after her mother's death without the presence of a caretaker. It is far more likely that she was subsequently adopted or at least put into an orphanage after the death of her mother. This doesn't make sense. A child who live alone for 10 years can't focus on other things like study. Child tend to look for food to stay alive. Let alone having the luxury for education.
I was bursting tears when i see how hard Lisa life is. Then suddenly logic got me good.
If her mother had stayed alive, I'd understand. But nooo. She totally lived alone
As Quadruple Q has yet to divulge the full breadth of Lisa's backstory, referring specifically to the events following her mother's suicide, I would rather theorise that Lisa was indeed put into the care of another adult, at which point she sought refuge and emotional succour in the pursuits of studying, using such endeavours as a means of avoiding the overwhelming guilt imposed upon her by her ultimately so abusive mother.
Only time will tell which one of us is closer to the truth.
