so is this game effectively abandoned? there hasnt been an update over 6 months
Dude, I know that the withdrawal syndrome is very hard to endure but you have to be brave and not say stupid things, on April 20 there was a news of the episode and there are about 1400+ renders and 64+ animations ready, we're gonna be cool like fonzie.

you really haven't been playing AVN's long if you think 6 months = abandoned
It is more a point of not putting in any effort. This person just asks a question, because they dont want to bother doing the steps to check for themselves if the game might be abandoned or not. It is too hard for them to just click the Patreon-Link and see if anything was posted (which can be seen without being a paid member).

no just curious since i have 4 pages of bookmarked games and trying to cut them down to games that are being updated

have several that are updated monthly, plus you clearly didnt read my actual comment
Everyone is tired of waiting, but there is nothing to be done, good content needs to wait.
The game is not abandoned, the developer works alone. He has no team.
ok, good to know

With the exception of ILS productions developer team I don't see any high quality game that is updated monthly, but ILS does short content updates and is not focusing on a very high visual standard, their focus is more on a high quality storytelling.

Most games that updated monthly either lack visual quality or barely have story at all and/or release short content updates. It is their "business developing model" and its fine, there is audience for those too. Games that aim to be visually appealing (with or without a good plot/story) most of them with plenty of content in each episode/update and some with quality animations that take long to produce will take over 3-4 months to deliver, most of them way over 6 months and a few even more than 1 year and that depends always on how much content is planned and how many people is working on the game.

Come on man, are you seriously going to tell me that you see the quality of this one and think they can do it in a month? You must know very well that many games take months to be made, even text based games take months to come out, Eruption Imminent will probably come out after this one, Desire of Fate takes longer and that game is not better graphically than this one.

Not many release updates on a monthly basis and those that do leave much to be desired, except for KN but he is a very special case.

Well they aren't exactly wrong in that sense is it. Desire of Fate, Pale Carnations, Ripples, Harem Hotel is using Honey Select which, has pre designed animations and character designs are not that difficult to create. And most of these games don't have super custom animations( bar say Ripples and Bound By Lust), but they take more than 8 or 9 months for each update to come. And many a times, developers use this to literally stretch a game(harem Hotel has been going for 8 years) because they literally can't create anything new.

Having a hard time is a both understandable because Daz 3D doesn't have custom animations but that argument falls apart for Eruption Imminent because it doesn't even has animations and no matter what you say, its renders are okay and not that extraordinary.

And yes despite certain reservations, KindNightmares is special, but the reason behind is simple. Good Work Ethic. They use Virtamate so that gives them some ease but beyond that, they have good work ethic, planned development cycle, setting limits to what each update can contain. Thats why they are good.

Because I have seen when people defend long time table like this, we come across the debacle of Summertime Saga and Sex and Fantasy and What a Legend.

Its a good thing that the planned chapters for Having a hard time is about 9 or 10 chapters, otherwise, it would be the same as milking a game for 8 or 9 years.

One thing we should be grateful about though is that Having a Hard Time uses Daz 3d. If it had been Blender, forget any significant update for a couple of years or so. If something takes 9 months in Daz 3D, it will probably take 2 years in Blender.

This game has disappeared from Steam. It is not displayed in the search by name. It remains in the library

Which country are you from? It seems like the game is blocked in your country.
