Please restore the crosshair, because in desktop mode you can't aim accurate position without it.

Ok, this is still very janky. I hope it's just a phase.
And most importantly for me - not worth playing in desktop mode, since half the features don't work. Can't use spells, can't pick up weapons, can't customize your character. At least not using the controls mentioned in the OP.

I accidentally triggered the captive option while I was playing. Is there a condition? Where can I adjust their health? I will die if I poke them twice with a sword, and how to get the weapons in the settings.
