a huge percentage of vn devs are very stupid and always opt for the options that gives them the quickest (monetary) gratification. what i mean is they would rather shovel shit out for a few temporary patreon/ss/whatever subs at the cost of hindering "meaningful" development of the game that would actually result in greater monetary earnings over time.
