The problem stems from the time. The previous 0.9 version took a long time due to alleged legal issues (I won't go into whether it's true or not), but after that, it took almost a year to release the next one. For this to happen...

I mean, it was clear that the next character to have sex with the character would be Stephanie; there was no doubt about it. The problem stems from the fact that it was expected to take 3 months, 4 at the most, for that update to happen, and by now, something should have happened differently.

But after almost a year, the protagonist should have slept with Stephanie, Amelie, the father, and even a canary, if they had one. The update fell far short and wasn't surprising (I expected absolutely everything) considering the time that had passed.

It seems the author is playing the typical game, keeping the character (Emilie) attractive without having sex, but that works for 5, maybe 6 chapters. The rest is just mistreating those who wait for the game and actually ending up alienating them. I didn't think the game would continue, and when I saw it, I said, "It's great," only to be sorely disappointed.

And seeing how it's proceeding, it's clear that Amelio is going to drag on. With its time to release updates and the lack of desire for anything to happen, it could take 5 years... My advice is... if you're going to do this, at least bring something fresh (meaning new female characters with something happening), don't keep the same old thing going on forever.

I find the game incredibly cute and detailed, but it's becoming boring in its development.

And that's where I like the game. You are NOT bombarded with 30 female characters like in almost every other AVN, where THE one is then "cracked" as number 30 or something. Besides, the scenes in Heart Problems are so well-crafted that it doesn't bother me anyway. I don't find this kind of aesthetic in ANY other AVN, and I don't need a hundred different love interests; that also robs a game of its charm in my eyes. The small family offers more than enough appeal in my opinion, with small side trips (which do exist). By the way, EVERY AVN acts in a way that the main course is delayed as much as possible—that's just standard. However, the teasing scenes with Amelie are on a level where most other developers fail. Nowadays, AVNs are popping up everywhere, and many look terrible with their slow-motion, stop-and-go animations. Of course, 90% are here because Amelie is their favorite, but even if THE one scene hasn't happened yet, her scenes are all staged to be maximally hot, and although the actions are similar, the aesthetic is different every time.

Exactly. Dev has succeeded in turning burning anticipation into boredom by repeating what has become a stupidly frustrating dynamic with aunt.

As I said, the game has great detail, but it's not the best. There are games with similar animations that are updated more often.

As for Amelie, yes, there are many games that do that kind of development. A better example: A Wife and Mother.

It's literally been around for several years and nothing has happened yet... a game I followed for a while and now I don't even bother. I'll read if something happens, see that it doesn't, and skip playing it. I agree with you about the development: it creates a climate of desire for the character, but at a certain point, it turns into pure boredom, and people end up hating a game they loved.

I would strongly doubt that. I've played at least a bit of what feels like every AVN on this site that offers animations, and in my opinion, none come close to the level of detail and aesthetic of Heart Problems' animations. Not even the really big names, some of which have been treading water for years and would rather waste time implementing mobile games into their AVNs.

So guys, I have few technical issues with this update and the previous.
For both chapter 9 and 10, I have no scenes with Steph, the narrative just skips them.
The second issue is that the last chapter 10 All characters are called "None".

How to fix those issues?

Oh I had this one, my character was named None. I simply started a new game and gave a name and relationships, and then loaded the save file with None and it became MyChosenName. Also I noted, it seems that when you chose relationships and name at the start, even without saving, it applies those variables to all the save files(also why the problem it's easily fixable, a bit counterintuitive tho)

I agree. That's why several posts before I thought it's funny he wanted to make a total of 20 chapters yet he can only produce 1 chapter a year. Fastest 6 months. If we we wait until the game is finished, it will be 10 years shortest, 20 years possibily. By that time, we will have literal holodeck from startrek and everyone is going to be old.

I just want to start by saying how incredibly grateful I am for the continued support, even after all these months of silence.

I promised I’d come back, and seeing that many of you trusted me means the world to me.

First, I want to say how happy I am to finally be working on Heart Problems again (even though I’ve actually been working hard on it during my limited free time for the past few months).

But I also feel it’s important to explain a little bit my absence.

I was hit with a serious financial issue that needed to be taken care of urgently.

And just when I needed Patreon the most, they shut down my page without warning—cutting off my only source of income. I panicked. I quickly opened a Boosty page and got started here on SubscribeStar, but of course it wouldn’t replace my old income overnight. Reality hit fast.

So, I changed plans. I updated my résumé, dusted off my LinkedIn, reached out to friends, and started applying for jobs desperate to find a new way of income.

Luckily, I found a decent job fairly quickly. But it came with a lot of pressure.

I tend to get overwhelmed easily, and I don’t always handle stress well—so I made the tough decision to temporarily step away from Heart Problems while I got settled into this new routine.

I still worked on the project during my days off, but the progress felt painfully slow.

That only added to my frustration. I know what matters most to you is seeing real updates, but honestly, if all I managed in a week was 20 images and 10 lines of code, I didn’t feel it was worth sharing.

Week after week, I kept falling short of what I expected from myself—and that just added more stress. Eventually, I decided I wouldn’t post anything until the whole chapter was finished, and that’s exactly what I did.

I’ve kept working on this project as much as I could. At times it felt like life was doing everything it could to pull me away from it—but I’m stubborn, and I hate leaving things unfinished. That’s just not who I am.

Heart Problems isn’t going anywhere and neither am I.

But I want to be honest: I still can’t give the project 100% of my attention right now.
I can’t predict what will happen tomorrow.

What if this platform shuts me down too? Or Boosty?

Patreon has taught me a hard lesson: not to take anything for granted.

So as much as I hate to say it, I can’t commit to consistent or rapid progress. I also can’t afford to hire help, not unless I find someone with the same artistic quality and animation skills as me, and frankly, those people charge way more than this project has ever made monthly. And let’s face it, they're not going to commit their time to something that’s not their own.

In short, I won’t be able to move fast. Some weeks, I might finish 20, maybe 40 images if I really push it. Other weeks, maybe just one animation and a few stills. That really bums me out, but it’s the reality right now.

On top of that, banks are cracking down on this kind of content (hentai and adult games in general), which I personally find absurd. I mean, it's crazy that banks can dictate what you're permitted to purchase or support, despite these being entirely legal products. But that’s a whole other discussion.
My point is, I can’t afford to put all my time into this anymore, not when the risk of losing everything again is always looming.

Right now, I’m actively working on Chapter 11.

I’m planning around seven more chapters (maybe more), and I’d also like to remaster chapters 1 through 5, maybe even chapter 6. I haven’t decided yet, but that would come later, either when I finish the main story or a bit before that.

I'm probably going to shock some people, but Heart Problems is a pure harem VN! And she doesn't even have many options. I've tried everything, but nothing has helped. The following list is the naked truth:

Lauren solo route: no
Ignore Lauren: no
Mia solo route: no
Ignore Mia: yes???
Stephanie solo route: no
Ignore Stephanie: yes
Kylee solo route: no
Ignore Kylee: no
Amelie solo route: no
Ignore Amelie: no

As you can see, a solo route isn't possible and probably not even planned. If you only take Amelie and Kylee, this VN is even a KN (kinetic novel). Except for one very specific decision (whether you confess your love to Amelie or keep it a secret), it doesn't matter what answers you give. Even with 0 lust and/or love points, you'll be able to fuck Kylee's brains out and do anything with Amelie, probably even fuck her in EP 11. Starting at EP 5 or 6 (hit with Death), there are no more route-deciding decisions.

Conclusion:
If you HAVE to play harem, then take everyone along and have fun.

I don't think Amelie will even divorce Davie; if that happens, it will take a long time. She doesn't even care about him anymore, but she never brings it up. MC is more of a lover to her than her husband. I've played a few VNs where the wife leaves her husband to be with MC. Of course, most of them were the husband cheating on her, but there's no proof that Davie cheated on Amelie.
