Agreed. Dev had the decency to let his supporters know what is going on and he paused patreon which is more than most would do. I've seen others that abandon and go radio silent but still keep the patreon going.
The dude clearly needs a break.

Preview look good.

Yeah because he's been working around the clock on these past few updates and this is the first time hes got a little hiccup.

He realizes that he can't keep getting away with that shit forever so he also paused his billing for a quick boost in credibility, not from the kindness of his heart, but because losing 100% income from just one month isn't as devastating as potentially losing all of it due to people cancelling their pledges. It's nothing but a long term investment, even if this little maneuver helps him keep 10% of the people who we're already on the fence about leaving, he's going to make it back in just 10 months, which is nothing compared to how long these visual novel development cycles stretch out for.

Hi guys, these last few weeks I've barely made any progress on the novel and probably next week I won't be able to work either, that's why I've paused the billing cycle, so next month you won't be charged.
I'm going through some personal problems, I'm not very well mentally and I can't work like this.
I see this as a hobby and I like to do it when I want, not by obligation, and right now I don't feel like it.
But don't worry, this is not an omen that I'm going to abandon the project in the future, I still enjoy making novels and I have a lot of ideas for future games, besides the chapter is very close to be finished.
Thank you very much for your understanding and see you in two weeks.

I swear 99% of these devs suffer from some illness or get into car accidents, bike crashes, their mom dies, their city gets flooded, their PC burns, their cat goes into anaphylactic shock etc.

Maybe there's a witch out there that puts a curse on anyone making porn games.

He does this everytime, the first months the progress is about 15/20% of renders per week, the drops to 10% per week, finally 10% per 2 weeks and the his computer fails/he has to travel/ he bourns out/ an alíen warship attacks his house and the milks his subs for 1 or 2 months
I told you people! I hate to be right in this one, but Xenorav always does the same in EVERY update.

He knows he has to keep lying about release dates (thats a big part of the reason some of us give him money).

Its just a milking process and he knows people will abandon the project if there is no excuse and a stop in the billing cycle. He could publish the update as it is, he "has" like 20 animations and 500 renders, he could publish that but no, he will keep milking until September probably

Developer when a new update is released..."Thanks for your support, this game continues because of it, next update will be more rather"... 2-3 or 4 months later, during which the number of patreons increases well, new chapter not only no release, he has ready maximum 50-60% and starting new reasons and it's again stop for few weeks or month. It happens again and again every time during two years. This time he first time stop billing cycle, if I'm not mistaken and some consider already him almost a messiah...just unbelieveble...but for 5-6 months his number of patreons became bigger more than x1,5. More than 1000 patreons now and it's very very good for this milky developer, who kicks his dick. And I supported him earlier repeatedly (the last month was February 2023), but I won't do this again, at least until updates not will be release regular and not 1 or 2 time in the year. With the current release schedule, let the fools support him.

Guys chill out. Last update was in January and he takes at least 3.5 months for each update plus the game is top notch unlike most of the crappy games out there.

Milking happens because of the stupid Patreon who allow it to get paid without providing any value. It wouldn't happen if people would just buy the updates instead of subscribing.

There are many good games here, just don’t waste time crying about new updates and play something else
They don't know how to do that, a lot of these people don't even support Devs and when they do they act super entitled. If any Dev has personal shit or doesn't move fast enough for the braindead masses they're labeled a milker F95 logic.
