I'm not sure why there are so little mods in this sub, I found like tons of them on the internet, how can I share them? It's mostly skins, but there are some cool stuff, like removing character limit
If they are working mods then either google drive or the upload sites seen in most opening posts are probably good.

sorry but can someone help me with the mods, i tried to download all the stuff, the mod tool, plus all th emod in the google link and i placed them in the mod folder, but nothing, on game idk on mods on the menu it says "legoshi mod" and i see it loading but then nothing at all. a tutorial baby version ?

idk that they're actually working on it, or that its even the roadmap beyond "eventually" tbh lol. would be cool but they need to do a lot of improving to basic mechanics and stuff before its really justified imo. they get playerbody and fbt stuff working close to as good as vrchat and add some more softbody physics, improve collisions, and kinematics/inverse kinematics and then it might be worth it. npcs cant even ragdoll atm, and have pretty minimal collisions with the environment or anything other than the players hands/playerbody and interactables

hey could someone do something and convert the armatures for the models given of the characters in heat and convert them so they could work in vrchat or atleast do marina i seen atlas already be made into vrchat and they do have armatures that are similar so it should not be too different or hard

getting closer. having fun with this lol. Figured out half the lighting situation, no shadows atm but using emissive lighting on the walls/floor/ceiling to give a flat uniform green so the room is a proper chromakey space now. still have some spawner locations to fix and a few other little odds and ends and I could call it good enough. Gonna keep tinkering though because I wanna get shadows working without them being green and cut down on the green fringe as much as possible without having to rely on the settings in VirtualDesktop to compensate.

Right now the sweet spot for those settings seems to be similarity at 38-40% and smoothing around 5-7%. That's about the limit without parts of some characters like emmy and hera's eyes goin weirdly transparent, there's a tiny bit with these settings as it stands. I think there's some shader shenanigans I might be able to do, some kind of Despill or alpha channel stuff. unfortunately I don't know dick about programming and shaders in unity are written in C# so the learning curve is liable to be steep lol. In the meantime I might play around with changing the color passthru keys on to see if I can make the green glow less noticeable without causing issues with the models.

very, very early and jank proof of concept done at 4am when I should be sleeping lol. skybox didn't work how I wanted but assigned the correct color to the plane I used for the floor, gonna have to switch from the blue to actual green, or learn how to add a UI element tied to the texture color or something that has RGB sliders so you can tune it as you see fit then match the passthru values in VirtualDesktop. otherwise might be hard to avoid half the characters going translucent to some degree. probably build a proper environment in bender and import it instead of the dumb shit I did this time, lot to learn yet lol.

What the hell, that actually looks really good! Marina kneeling on the floor looks really uncanny in a good way, like seeing a cartoon character in real life. Excited to see how this works out when you have a working mod to share.

Pretty sure between and glacialweather's we've got everything covered (the mod you specifically mentioned is in both). I did specifically mention that I left a bunch of simple recolors out of my archive due to space and deprecation issues, but if we missed something that you really want feel free to @ me or shoot me a DM with a mod and I'll add it to my drive, space permitting.

Thanks! right now I'm trying to figure out why some of the poses are bugged, once I get em all working and spawning in reasonable places i'll upload it somewhere. if somebody with more knowledge of unity wants to pick up where i left off i'd be happy to copy the files and stuff for em to mess with.

i've got ideas for more advanced features involving the hand tracking and environment mapping that the quest can do but idk how plausible it is to impliment them in the game as a mod at this point. the mod tools are out of date. renee isnt even in the current package and without the POIs idk if there is any way to get her to spawn in the custom level short of trying to data mine the .asset files from the game and reverse engineering stuff and thats way above my skill level atm lol.
i also wish we could edit the skins for the glory hole characters

Since Marina has non-human legs you'd more then likely need to make a human skeleton and rig the legs with constraints for them to work properly in full body. I'm not sure how the model would act with fbt and a generic rig but since all the furry models I've seen use a human skeleton and rig with constraints to control the non-human bones I'd assume generic rig breaks the model.

A quick look at the FBX and uhh they sure make things interesting with the heat engine. They have separate models for futa and female marina with a copy of each just for collision, the mouth is a separate mesh, the animations and expressions seem to be baked into different fbx files, and the skeleton has a lot of bones that standard vrc models don't use. It's doable but I think there'd be a learning curve to port heat models to vrc.

Regarding the POIs, there is a helper object in my archive that does some stuff, not sure though since I'm not familiar with it.

i remember seeing it mentioned in the modding guide, will have to check it out. i did add marker gizmos to the POIs so i can at least see their approximate position and orientation in unity but i dont think whats shown in unity is a 1:1 correlation with the in game positions. for example the duo/trio animations i think are just assigned a location via transform in unity, but that specific transform doesnt represent the positions of the individual models just the origin of the spawned group of gameobjects i think? because some of the duo animations one character is rotated 90 degrees out from their correct position lol

thanks for the info. the stuff with the FBX files somehow doesnt surprise me much, even just playing the game you can kinda pick up on the fact that there has to be some weird jank stuff going on in the back end just to explain some of the bugs and glitches. makes me wonder if/when they're going to get to the point where the house of cards wont stand up anymore and they have to scrap a bunch of their code and start from scratch to fix things and make decent progress

Could you let me know what's missing from the ProtonDrive archive? I've looked at the discord recently and didn't see any new mods. (I already know there are a few recolor skins missing.)

good morning, I was wondering if it was possible to change the various characters of the default animations, is there something? why I ask this = simple, because they are already realigned and you can also set the speed of the truster which is not in the pose editor, since on m x f there are more animations, I would be interested in m x m, but you can not decide which character should go with who you want, so I would like to make sure that where there are females I replace them with a male character so as to use mm in all the default animations and I was wondering if there was a way to change the default characters like garret x garret , in the meantime I'll go and have fun on the good old dear yiffalicious where at least you can decide who to use

Is there a folder that stores saved group poses? I can only find individual pose folders, but none contain any info/files for the group pose.

grou poses generate indipendent poses per character.

so a group pose of emmy and atlas would generate 2 .pose files, 1 in Emmy's file 1 in Atlas'
