Yeah, ever since the addition of Subscribestar as a subscription option, the method of cracking the dll has changed a little if you are using dnSpy (I do not know about other methods):

Now both the 'Authenticated' & the 'AllowMenuToggleOff' variables must be changed to true for the crack to be usable.

On top of that there is some new error with something something "tuple" that wont let you compile the crack, so you have to go in & delete all the code it's complaining about (it's like 3 little blocks of code, just make sure you only delete the blocks & that you delete the full block to prevent any errors) removing the code has no effect on the game so far as I know.

Otherwise the process is the same, just a couple extra steps

P.S. I believe the AllowMenuToggleOff is for the tutorial that the game is supposed to put you through, but because we are bypassing the authentication, we never hit the flag that turns the toggle on.

you can kinda tell by the way the account is designed it sounds and looks pretty much exactly how edef talks so theres no doubt thats an alt to someone related to heat

unless edef has an official account here, which then will obviously prove it but it's not an alt finding contest lmao

You know, you are talking about the illegal (cracked) version?
As a dev i would change a lot, about the registration, to make it difficult for cracks - abd i think we have the same here.
On the legal version i don't think, they'll have the problem.

Why you don't start a game like this yourself, if you think it would be that easy?
I'm not a programming person, but i can believe it is hard to create a game for pc with vr stuff and watch so much different hardware - the tripple A studios have the same problem with different hardware and they have more people and money for this.
Also you're not an AAA studio. Immediately after getting a menu complaint in your discord you immediately resorted to raging out about it in multiple paragraph form on this site a literal DAY later to try to gain more fame? What more of a coincidence so we need just name yourself edef be honest and go about your day

Your best bet is GOAT, I doubt you'd ever see more then a color palette swap for the heat models.
After trying it out it's not bad, runs a wee bit warm tho, to the point that heat is in fact a better VR experiance (laptop cried)... shame the goat models are not able to be imported to heat, rather than the other way round.

Hello again to all. In reference to my previous post, which may have been lost in the current debate, would anyone here be able to answer that post? It merely involves a matter of gameplay, skipping any details of marketing and economics. My original question reads:

Hi there. Among all the interactions, I have noticed that with watersports enabled, you cannot, uh, "drink from the girls" unless they are futas. Not sure if this is a VR function, as I can only play in 2D mode. To be honest, that is one of my favourites, especially with Astera and Marina. Anyone have any info on this? I eagerly await a response..

Hope to hear a reply, thanks.

Thats a feature that hasn't been added. Also, it's more of a VR game.

Thanks for the reply. I know that the main focus of the game is to cater to the VR users, and I appreciate that. I was just curious if I missed something. If I had the disposable income to shell out on a VR setup, my questions would probably be more interesting. But I very much like the game, in the state my hardware can run. I also do not have the desire to spring for a liquid-cooled custom gaming-only machine. In any event, thanks for replying.

Not really - sry.

I didn't understand the short "edef" - sry.

I would give them the advice to release the game on steam for protection and give a stable and updated version to all players. That would be fair for everyone and they could work with dlc's for new characters, locations and functions for a fair price.

This would my idea for them, but with this, they'll get less money - so they wouldn't do this.

Because, when i take a look at the game, it looks finish for me with the versions now - so they could release it (that is my oppinion about this).

Sorry, when i see both sides and not only one - please don't spank me about this.
while you are here, fix the bug for canted VR HMD (180° flips at the 359° angle and premature culling):

Man, I came here to get my hands on a less-than-legal copy of Heat, not argue the ethics of stealing shit from people that work hard to earn money. It kinda drives me bananas when someone complains about developers while also stealing their work. I get it, we all have our reasons to not pay the price, and I'm not judging that. But lay off ElmoCamper; so what if he's Edef? I doubt Edef has the pull/time/energy to get his crack removed from here. Don't criticize somebody just for sympathizing with the people we ultimately benefit from. Even with $80,000 per month, you can't just buy a good game into existence; that's what makes the modern AAA industry so dogshit. Game development takes time and money, but you can't rush the time part. Also it's a porn game, so your pool of potential hires is pretty small. Be thankful for people like Jolly_The_Jester and other users that post the paid content on here for free.

Went ahead and combined the original game files and the crack for one easy download: . The file's not going to be there forever, but I'll try and get the OP updated to this file. Seems like the menu bug is gone, or was patched out in either the crack or the original version.

Thanks to toranzu and for the uncracked version, and to glacialweather for the cracked file.

As far as I'm aware, other models could be imported to Heat, but it would take lots of work to do so. There's a user in this thread a little back who made his own Emmy skin, and we already have modded recolors of current characters and even new rooms. I imagine the gap between coloring a model and swapping it out for a different one is rather large, but I suppose someone with enough time and skill could do it. Another user from the Heat Discord developed an Isabelle model that did work in-game at one point, but it has since been abandoned and no longer works.

Honestly, the modding potential for this game would be huge if they ever release an SDK or some such. I guess they did but it still requires a lot of work.

"liquid-cooled custom gaming-only machine" imma say u have wierd understanding of PC hardware
Custom, or really any form of liquid cooling is unnecessary most of the times. Like, you can do it, but you either have lots of money to flex with a cool looking PC, or lots of money to buy power hungry, high performance hardware that demands it and would melt and boil without it.

Heat isn't that hardware demanding, really you can play as low as on gtx 750ti and i3 10100f, but sacrifices have to be made, namely potato graphics in-game and ~900p resolution scale in steamVR. Also 750ti is an old gpu, so in some games UI is all wonky, others may randomly crash or not run at all.
However, it'll be a relatively cheap PC build and good enough for it's price, especially if u also buy a used cpu and/or motherboard. Just make sure you buy hardware from well-known brands, like MSI, Asus, Gigabyte etc. and not suspiciosly cheap HW from random chinese manufacturers, or you risk ending up with an unreliable "thing" with PCB made out of cardboard and ramen, and refurbished components from other, broken hardware.

RN I have 3060ti, 16gb RAM and same i3 10100f, is enough for VR gaming as a whole, not only a small selection of games like with 750ti. So I'd say you just upgrade from 750 later, or buy a bit better gpu straight away, and the only way is up.

Hello all. Really...my small comment about higher-end hardware was only to point out that not all of us have VR-capable systems of _whatever_ configuration. So some of us miss out on the VR aspects. Not gonna argue specs and resolutions etc. My original question was based on 2D functions that I can play the game with. Again, happy with the game. No complaints there. And may I say, thanks for the technology primer. I will certainly keep it in mind come upgrade time. In the future I shall be more to the point. Cheers.

AssetRipper for most Unity games, NinjaRipper for other games/engines with no specific tools.
I've used that one but returns me black models, and upon importing to Blender the textures I had don't match at all, like if theh models didn't have any UV/W info on them, is that normal, maybe?

Hey, all good man. Just wanted to clarify that you don't need one of those flashy $10,000 gaming rigs to play VR and can do so on a budget
Don't let ur dreams be dreams :]
