Overview:
2025! Best Year Ever! AI is making everyone's job so much more secure and the economy is crushing it thanks to a brilliant trade policy straight out of the 1800s. Now, there might have been a small hiccup here and there. Maybe we're taking a gap year as we find the right career for our diverse skill set, and maybe our bank account is less than our body count, but things are going to turn around. It's not like we had to move to a zombie infested small town just for cheap rent. That didn't happen. Everything's fine. It's all fine. Better days are on the way.

Having played it a bit, I'd like to suggest adding a volume control. Also, many scenes with dialog are set to the pause timer, which causes short dialogs to be dull and longer ones to be a bit of a scramble to read while looking at what's happening.
Not too many choices to be made, but it is a first step.
Fun story so far.
Good luck and cheers!

Yeah, you can adjust the pause timer to have the lines hold for a bit longer, but also if you check the "Hold Line for Click" then it will wait for you to click before advancing dialogue. This can lead to some of the camera and character motions to not line up like intended, but not too big of a deal.

Volume controls are on the list for second or maybe third update. Thanks for the feedback.

Tried it for abit, but I couldn't even make it through the first zombie interaction before quitting because it was just boring me. Paper cut out characters just don't really cut it in today's gaming environment.

Haven't tried it myself yet, so not sure how well it's executed, but if the story/vibe/flow etc is good it can work. The low poly backgrounds I kinda like / find refreshing and the characters in themselves are okay I think. Is that campfire animated?

Yeah, it's animated. And I was going for something that looked a bit different than normal and was pleasantly surprised how well the low poly look went with the Daz models when I imported them. I'm liking it.
