Few days ago I played this game for the first time and today I played the second chapter. I have some mixed opinions, both about the game and about the update.
I don't know but the story just feels real to me. Not because it's realistic, it isn't. There is plenty of porn logic—all women are immediately smitten by MC and there even is a girl who really wants to call you daddy. But within the rules of an AVN, it takes everything seriously. I don't know if that's the reason but I can't help but to connect with characters. In most other games, therer are a few LIs that I hate. But because of the game and characters "feeling" real I only dislike Fawn/Sylvanie and that's only because game actually is trying to make you dislike her. This game has a fuck ton of potential.
LIs are awesome. Nikki, Patriccia may be like the trio route of this game, similar to Athena & Heidi from Bare Witness. Mika is energetic and kinda funny, Aurora is precious, Coral is... cute-weird(?), Fawn is a bitch. And there are few characters that I wouldn't be too surprised if they become LI options or lewdable characters at worst. Kalli, Thora, Kennedy (the waitress), Bridget (Charlie's granddaughter), maybe even few I've forgotten (I've forgotten about "Kitten" I guess her name is Miranda based on the names of some audio files of the game). I wouldn't call the LIs original necessarily but sure as shit they are not common and stereotypical.
Charlie, the old man, is fucking amazing. He's so seperated from the main story yet it doesn't feel like a distraction. All while his converstaions with the MC helped me to get to know the main character. I think he's sort of the Liam from AL of this story.
But with all that being said, the scope is much bigger than Bare Witness. While I really like the LI variety, there are simply too many of them. If I counted correctly 6 almost-guaranteed LIs and 5 more possible additions. If this game is going to be 5 chapters like Bare Witness, this is alarming. We're already 2 chapters in and only 1 LI had any scene. But I guess we're going to have more chapter for this game, or at least I hope.
Where the fuck was Mika in chapter 2??? Can we get her back please? She was the highlight of the first chapter for me. Aurora for sure was the star for this episode. Also, the dev, can you please stop forcing Patricia on MC

? I appreciate that when I'm on her path but it may become bothersome at best on other paths, after there is enough branching.
I saw some people discuss whether MC will look for a cure or not and how the game will end. I feel like we're heading for a bittersweet ending and not a happy one. MC being this sad and hopeless individual with inoperable tumor is what allowed me to connect with the game. Just curing him might jeopardize that connection if not handled well. I even think that AlterWorlds may go the opposite way and make it much more brutal. Charlie is old as fuck and it wouldn't be a surprise if he dies within the next 2 years. MC may not want any treatment until he connects with any of the LI(s) but it may be too little too late then. I'm expecting to see all of that but also end on a sweet note maybe some final sweet letter/eulogy. If the player is into that, maybe some pregnancy shit like Bare Witness did to secure MC's "legacy". I've played a lot of games on this site, muuuch more than I should have

, and I still remember AL's ending because it wasn't a normal everything-is-good, happy ending. I'm not saying I want the death ending, I want the opposite. Yet I must admit that the "bad" ending will make this game much more memorable for me. Either way, it's up to Alterworlds.
That's my 2 cents on the game, huge potential, possible pitfalls, pessimistic af theory. Btw, as I said I only started this one few days ago. So if the dev said anything previously that contradicts what I said in this post, sorry in advance.
Wdu think about my "theory"?
Edit: the thread may have discussed smt like this. I don't know, I don't do a deep search with multiple possible "keywords" everytime I post something. So don't think of it as a
new theory
