lol, he is terminal and given up on life, just having some adventures before its over. convoluted is thinking a man of his supposed caliber would suddenly decide to get treatment(not a cure) just cause he met some pretty girls who get naked and whisper sweet nothings into the ears of any man who pays(and doesnt offend the girl, after all no means no regardless of occupation)

Seems like people are jumping a lot of guns. The girls found out about his cancer because of the fight, but so far (unless there's an update I missed) he hasn't changed his mind about anything, and I don't know enough about any of the girls to have an opinion about them other than that they're pretty.

I would suggest, if this comes up and reasons are sought after, that he doesn't feel he has anything to live for that makes it worth looking for the almost-impossible. In that case, maybe he finds someone (or several someones) who give him that reason to fight. So in other words, the girl/s, over the course of the game, become his reason to seek treatment.

Something I forgot in my "review," but I am not a fan of her interactions with the douche crew. She likes to talk shit, but she leaves it to others to deal with it. The situation at the club had been deescalated. The douches throw out a parting insult. She comes rushing out to escalate the situation again. At the diner, she was talking shit immediately and saying how she couldn't promise she wouldn't start anything. She's like a jacket holder: people who talk shit and starts fight, but once the fight starts, they're at the back holding jackets while others deal with the consequences of their actions. Or a woman who complains to her man about being insulted and getting him to beat someone up.

To be honest, Chapter 1 felt short. I didn't really feel like I really knew any of the characters. I wouldn't have said I hated anyone, and the best I could say is that I (potentially) like certain characters. Now that I remember this facet of Patricia's personality, she is pretty close to the border of dislike or hate. It really is a reprehensible character trait to me.

Still, to each their own; beauty is in the eye of the beholder; et cetera, et cetera.

But the Dev's implementation of this plot will probably be a big challenge. First is the prejudice people have about the job of female characters in the game; it's quite difficult for people to have sympathy for them. Second, it's the climax as well as the way to untie the knot of the story; giving him a tumor as well as him having no motivation to fight the disease has made it quite difficult for the story to have a climax and the way to resolve the knot of the story is also a similar problem. Finally, the ending will be the most annoying thing because it will be difficult to satisfy the player.

But after all, I'm impressed that Dev dares to make this game. Hopefully the upcoming update will satisfy me as well as everyone.

It's not uncommon for them to have a side hustle tho. And nudity depends on local law. In some states they can't go full nude and serve alcohol both, so I've lived places that have 18+ all-nude juice bars and bikini/lingerie bars with beer but no titties.
