I think the harem thing is pretty clear by now... dude is dying, no committed relationships. May change for the endings, but for most of the game you should be safe to treat the game as a harem one

Might be but it still feels like half the cast won't even interact with you if they see you hanging around with Sylvanie too often.
I mean besides the fact that she seems unhealthily competitive and an absolute bitch towards every other girl. If that would have no consequences whatsoever it would be very inconsistent writing.

I'm hoping that rejecting her in Chapter 2 was the beginning of taming her, but we'll see.

I can easily see the Nikki / Patricia / Mika foursome being a thing. I doubt one of them would interact or "share" with Sylvanie or the other way around.
There's also the wildcard of Aurora/Pink. She seems sweet so far but hasn't really had much interaction with other girls except for Sylvanie being .

That said, they could attach a sob story to Sylvanie that explains her bitchy behavior, like a sick mother at home that needs expensive medicine.

There are any number of stories with Sylvanie, but I'm hoping we're aiming for brat training - that she really wants "in" and has to be taught to behave before she is accepted. Who knows - maybe the others were dicks to her when she arrived (or she thought they were) and things just escalated.

Sylvanie might honestly be like how Zenda was in Bare Witness in the sense that she doesn't really play nice with others and has her own thing going on with no chemistry with the rest of the LI's. I'm really hoping for a taming of the brat route though.

It's worth noting that this game is explicitly (optionally) full harem for the main LIs. So there will be a path where Sylvanie can be a part of the harem. The devs have directly said as much. If you want to and pick appropriate choices, you can be with every main LI in a single run.

But if you do just want a solo path with her, Ch 2 is a way to start heading that direction, though it's been stated that neither path in Ch 2 fully locks you into harem vs solo with her. So sounds like you can potentially take either path in Ch 2 and still get to a harem. It just might cost you with other LIs a bit in the meantime.

It is worth noting that unlike Bare Witness, there will not be a full separate ending for each LI or combo. There is 3 main endings currently planned (with internal variation based on smaller factors).
