The irony of the thread being marked as abandoned again pretty much on the same day we is not lost on me.

I'll wait a bit before updating the OP, though. Past releases tended to require some hotfixes pretty soon after, and while we had testers play around with the pre-release version for a while, there still have been some last-minute changes in this one again.

yup, alr had quite some errors, although with mods from berneke (so not a problem with the vanilla game per se).

Neat. With the pregnancy stuff being part of the base game, will there be a rotating student body some day? As in, students being able to age out of school (and graduating, with accompanying events possible with reputation gain/loss), and new students coming in as the general population gets older.
Might need to generate some population of all ages then, otherwise you'd have a huge gap when all starter students aged out and the newly born students aren't yet old enough. Those below minAge should obviously not be interactable.

Rotating students would be nice eventually, but the tricky part is how to deal with "special characters" that are tied to specific quest lines. You will want to keep those around, even if they would have graduated already under normal circumstances. And it would also mean that the students of which you already progressed the starts are now regularly being replaced with a fresh influx of students without that progress, which eventually hampers the player's overall gameplay progress.

Hm, maybe prevent characters with quest markers from aging? Those with special events attached to them even after their quests could be made to return to school later in a different role. E.g. if the student Carmen is in a relationship with graduates, he could come back two years later as a teaching assistant or intern or something.

True, that might become an issue. Although after a year the player likely has a decent amount of tools to quickly raise the relevant stats - drugs and hypnosis especially. New students would draw from the existing population, so those would probably already be affected a bit e.g. via the town drug events. The existing student body could get special events where they help corrupt their new underclassmen (especially those in clubs).
Not sure it would be more of an issue than hiring some teachers that veto PTA decisions for weeks until you get to deal with their quest line.

Just brainstorming a bit here. Not sure it all makes sense, but I think the older student helping in corrupting the newer ones if the difference is high enough might be an interesting few events.
