Another simple mechanic is well-established solution in Jap games:
Sex stats. No need for >30 of them, just 1st partner, last partner (kiss, vaginal, anal), best sex with, sex count, number of unique partners.

"Best sex with" could ofc have typical NTR stuff, like "MC had smaller penis" or sth like that.

Finally, introduce an impregnation. With option of paternity fraud.

Next-gen NTR could have SO cheating w/o any guilt. So NTR as result of "sex under necessity", but not rape nor blackmail. This is fantasy game, make girls fucking other males because of important reason, even against their own (true) feelings.

In game "Forward Ho" (RpgMaker VX) girls had sex on screen (in case MC visit sex place) or out of screen. Including impregnation chance (actually 100% if they had sex during ovulation day).

Highly effective NTR mechanic is to make simple tasks to do in various places. Like collecting sth, or cleaning some rooms/places. Sth clicker-like. While girls could cheat in the meantime. Player could drop his task and run to check if there is any sex.

I thank you for the recommendation. I have thought about it, but I'm not sure if adding a whole array of statistics would add anything in a game like mine, and not simply overcomplicate it. Since my type of story is rather linear, stats meant to keep track of number of partner/best partner/number of vaginal, anal, oral sex would be rather pointless, or at least would not add anything particularly important to the gameplay, since the player gets to see almost everything that happens in game. Also, that would complicate my work, and might mean a bit less content at the end of the day if I have to figure out how to implement the stats each time based on what the player does etc...

About the tasks to do, don't you think this would make the game a bit too grindy and not all that interesting?

I'll have to think about it, but I think what I currently do in-game with the sex scenes works more or less well (I hope it does^^), so I didn't plan on changing much in this aspect. I wanted to get more variety though. More sex positions, more races (what about a gnome side-character, shorter in size but pretty stacked? Or an ogress?), maybe more variety in sex sounds as well, and improve on the story with the feedback I have received (within reason, I cannot accomodate everyone, but god knows I'd like to^^)

I have a few other non-sex related mechanics in mind to diversify the gameplay, but I'll explain more in details at a later date : )

I've been following your project since the beginning and I would like to know if there are other background graphics for the women. By that I mean that the physique of the woman in your game is all the same (e.g body- or breast size).

Are these not available or is it more difficult to produce them in pixel graphics.

I would like to see other races with different physiques. Something like you suggested with Gnomes that have a smaller breastsize or a furry character.

You are right. For linear story, most of mys suggestions are not optimal. You may convert some of my ideas tho:
1. After linear scene (girl bangs an adversary), she could have simple diary and/or MC evasdrop a conversation between her and her female friend - in both cases there could be texts about how skilled lover an adversary was.
2. Countdown NTR could be linear too. Just not based on actual gameplay.

Story-wise consider making NTR-acts as sth under necessity. So all or some females can't be blamed for cheating. They had to do so, even for MC's sake. Typical situation is where corrupter tricks female that ony drug/cure he has could help MC. Female loves MC, she sleeps with a corrupter, gots pregnant but delivers the cure (or sth. like that).

Actually, since I am not the pixel artist for the sex animations, I just order sex positions (say doggystyle side view, standing fuck back view, etc...). Then, the pixel artist makes the animation with bald sprites, and all is left for me is to add the faces, the hair, the facial expressions, etc... (it still takes quite a bit of time though to get it all right) So I order a bunch of animations before starting the game, so I have as much variety as possible to switch them around when needed for the story.
This is why we have mainly the same skin color and body size, because they need to be as standard as possible so I can use them on the spot whenever I come up with a sex scene (I am really bad at planning, which mean I think of a particular sex scene like 1-2 days before making it, so I have no time to order new stuff from the pixel artist in the meanwhile). So whether it is Celis, Aywin or Solana, they can all use the same standards sex positions.

However, might I add that there are different breasts sizes? For example, Aywin and Thania have the "biggest" size, Celis is "medium". It might be hard to notice, but the boob size is also reflected during the sex scenes, but it isn't as obvious because, well, pixel art^^

Yes, eavesdropping could be an option, but the corruption level should be rather high for this kind of conversation. Also, linear countdown to what exactly? First kiss, first bj, and first fuck, etc? In this case, I'd prefer it if it happen naturally more than having the player look at the numbers going down until when they can expect something to happen : )

About your "under necessity", that's interesting, but might I ask how it is different than, say, the premise of HC1?

Yeah, your example is good.

Some techniues, story plots to take into the account:
- let's make main love interest never a slut. Make her someone who makes mistakes and make her a victim of Greek Tragedy sex under necessity. She ends the story as MC's wife
- make her loving MC, genuiely, but:
a) she kissed and made out with other male before MC
b) she had sex under necessity with antagonist
c) she gets pregnant with other male but never tells MC.

In case you don't want to implement pregnancy into the game as mechanic, just add it to epilogue like Kubel Pillory did.

Pregnancy story solutions. She is pregnant with other male and:
a)MC doesn't know, rises as his own
b)MC knows that she slept with other male, but has strong reason not to blame her. He decides to rise the kid and not check who is the child. He is to blame for "not protecting". Just make mentioned reason realistic. Not "because I am cuck". Example I saw was Rikuzendo's tactical game. In case female is captured during battle, she is banged. Then MC bangs her too and does not know who the father is nor does care. OFC made more sublime solution, not r4pe.
c)MC decides not to be with her, but male best friend, who was an beta orbiter, will be with her and rise antagonist's child.

Some typical ideas for sex w/o guilt:
a) she thinks MC cheated first
b) she lost her memory
c) she thinks MC is dead
d) she broke with MC or had "a pause", especially because of misunderstanding
e) typical under necessity

f) With some guild - she cheated with other close male, because of circumstances (alcohol, lots of stress, lack of MC male support at given time etc.). Cheating, never confessed.

Idk about an ogress but I'd like to see an giant ogre perhaps I remember the first Henteria with the monsters, but they rarely played a direct role in corrupting the girls if I remember - even at the end.

Now that would be a problem of anatomy I guess, having a giant ogre with a normal sized woman. I know hentais don't usually care about that, but still^^ The issue with monsters is that they're all very different (in general), so having different sex scenes for each and everyone might monopolize the pixel artist's time. That's why I put emphasis on having human models for sex scenes first (because they're interchangeable between characters). But once I feel like I have a decent enough amount of animations for human-like characters, I might move on to commissioning monsters animations.

The boy at the end of HC1 wasn't supposed to be anyone special actually. He was just there to emphasize the bittersweet feeling of "what could have been" between Eleonora and Casio. He's in love, and he's going to propose. Can we expect a "happy ever after" ending for this boy? Maybe. But Casio won't have his. At least not before a long long while.
As for Celis, definitely. It will be one of the main plot point in HC2. Same for the first enigmatic cutscenes right at the beginning of the game. Without spoiling too much, the first hints as to what Celis' origins are will appear in Update 6.
