Well, yes, I got that quite well from your review. Still, a 1/5 star review means that a game has absolutely no redeeming qualities whatsoever (that's how I saw it). From a developer's standpoint, this is quite the blow, because I have spent quite a lot of time and money developing the game and trying to polish its different aspects(music, sound design, H scenes, story, environment design, character design, etc...), and you have decided to ignore all of it. So while I respect the review, I don't quite agree with it.
Also, I don't think there is such a thing as a NTR game being "too fleshed out", as long as one learns to be more concise, which is what I have yet to do. Mine has to be kind of fleshed out because it is a part of a bigger game series about a completely new world I invented, and that I want to develop further. My other standalone game, Merry H-Mas, is a lot less fleshed out, because there is absolutely no need to develop the lore behind it.
Music: I cut off in all games because I only care to hear the ambiance. (nature, weather, sex, etc)
Sound Design: I did like the moan/muffled sex features but they are pretty much a staple in NTR games and more of a necessity in pixel NTR games because you dont have much to stimulate the player to begin with since; no CG, only sprites.
H-Scenes: I was complimentary of the pixel scenes, im a fan of pixel games.
Story: You actually dont get props from me on this im afraid, the story is very derivative and cliche'. Holy War, Goddess, Racial Tensions, Angels and Demons, Magic, I feel like the story would still be fine without all of the extra padding and the fact that they are elves serve no real purpose since their race and tribe theme can be interchangeable with any race and social hierarchy.
Environment Design: Theres a East Tribe and a West Tribe and the game has multiple locations the MC can go to outside the tribe but these are all locked off until certain quests are active and they cant be returned to freely, furthermore the MC is only able to wander the West tribe which consists of only 6/7? houses arranged in a circle, divided by a river, not exactly innovative village design.
Character Design: This goes partially back to story, no real reason they are Elves other than a fresh perspective since the first game had predominantly humans? Specific wise, every girl has a different hair color and everyone seems to be in a jovial mood. Theres isnt any depth to any character, everyone is a stereotype of their role. Envar is the goody good guy, Zeno the jealous sibling, Aywin the loving mother, Merith the typical recluse/nerd, Edywr the typical jock/badboy, etc.
Your game will appeal to people but I think those who have played other pixel NTR games before will either be pleasantly surprised or shockingly disappointed at the Henteria Series, I feel like theres no middle ground due to the nature of how the series seems to be.
