Does start slow but this is in service of creating the setup for lots of payoff down the line. The writing and characterization are both good and the pace of corruption is great, neither too fast nor too slow.

I most enjoyed the maledom and corruption elements and hope there is more fetish content to come (I think I am about 2/3rds of the way through the current content).

I would also have preferred if there were fewer 1-1 pairings and more one bull corrupting multiple women - although this does happen to some extent with a number of side character scenes that I really enjoyed - but recognize that is subjective.

    It Was I DIO

Let me start by saying I have quite the experience with NTR VN's/games/hentai/Doujinshi.

Henteria Chronicles CH.2 tries too hard to be something its not, while the NTR elements are there I find the actual medium, a RPG-maker engine based game to be inefficient for what the developer is seemingly trying to do. He would have a much better time converting his works into a Visual Novel format because those in particular are better suited for his style of NTR showcasing.

Which brings me to my next point; Gameplay. The game is BORING, this isnt a dig at the developer, this is my honest review of 10+ hours of gameplay. The sex scenes arent the problem because pixel sex scenes are actually one of my favorite mediums (Summer Memories, NTRPG's, NTR Legend, Game Cafe', etc) the problem is the writing, its overly done and tediously drawn out to the point of downright annoying, as if the developer wanted to make a novel and used a NTR game as a means to improve his writing, which was filled with plenty of grammatical errors I found.

Music: I cut off in all games because I only care to hear the ambiance. (nature, weather, sex, etc)

Sound Design: I did like the moan/muffled sex features but they are pretty much a staple in NTR games and more of a necessity in pixel NTR games because you dont have much to stimulate the player to begin with since; no CG, only sprites.

H-Scenes: Im a fan of pixel games, I enjoyed them for what they were.

Story: The story is very derivative and cliche'. Holy War, Goddess, Racial Tensions, Angels and Demons, Magic, I feel like the story would still be fine without all of the extra padding and the fact that they are elves serve no real purpose since their race and tribe theme can be interchangeable with any race and social hierarchy.

Environment Design: Theres a East Tribe and a West Tribe and the game has multiple locations the MC can go to outside the tribe but these are all locked off until certain quests are active and they cant be returned to freely, furthermore the MC is only able to wander the West tribe which consists of only 6/7? houses arranged in a circle, divided by a river, not exactly innovative village design.

Character Design: This goes partially back to story, no real reason they are Elves other than a fresh perspective since the first game had predominantly humans? Specific wise, every girl has a different hair color and everyone seems to be in a jovial mood. Theres isnt any depth to any character, everyone is a stereotype of their role. Envar is the goody good guy, Zeno the jealous sibling, Aywin the loving mother, Merith the typical recluse/nerd, Edywr the typical jock/badboy, etc.

Henteria Chronicles Ch.2 will appeal to some but I think those who have played other pixel NTR games before will either be pleasantly surprised or shockingly disappointed, I feel like theres no middle ground due to the nature of how the developers game design is.

Pros: Its NTR (Netorare) as advertised, sprite sex is ok.

Cons: An NTR game that makes you want to skip content/dialogue has failed in my opinion because the story, mood and tone are all vital aspects to the genre. As of right now the game is a longwinded exercise in patience and not worth the effort for the average players looking for a fun and entertaining NTR medium.

In the end a somewhat good game, BUT actually the dev almost lost me in the first parts of the story. there is far to less h related content in the beginning with the main characters. And why even bother and say its gonna be a free-roaming game when there is nothing to be found? Cool landscape and village and all but there is nothing you can see or do apart of the 3-4 quests that are going on. I almost quit but then the story got going. Would it not be for the quite good and well done main and the one side quest I think the game would have lost me. I hope the dev does some polishing and adds some content in the beginning, then maybe I can give the game more stars. Also I think a lot of players could get scared away and miss that the game in the end is quite good due to the start of the game and the first few updates. Finally I think story progression goes far too fast. Its like you eat a book in no time (an ok-ish book I got to admit) but please man give us some time to enjoy the game.

    1st edit:
added the 4th star. seems that the dev really is listening to what the players suggest and the critique. it seems the beginning of the game really gets polished a bit. If I like what I see, the game will get it's 5th star.

    2nd edit:
so in update 8 the dev really started working on the beginning and implemented new scenes and free-roaming events. Now I really got to admit that the game got A LOT better and I really like the pacing and content from update 7 on.
Still think there could be more corruption scenes inbetween the story progress (especially between update 1 - 5), still think the beginning needs some - alot of work, but eventually the dev is getting there.
So all in all the dev is working on the parts I am criticising and the rest is just great so there's no longer any reason to not give this game it's well earned 5th star. So here we go. Looking forward to what the dev is going to do with this game in the remaining updates. All the best of luck!

    The benchmark-game of this genre!

Henteria Chronicles 2 takes pixelporn to a whole new level. Even Hanataka, who was the founder of this little genre and made great games in that sense (NTRPG1&2) can't keep up with the Henteria Chronicles any longer. The student overcame his master. And Henteria Chronicles 2 is N_Taii's second masterpiece. Definitely check out Henteria Chronicles 1, which is N_Taii's first game. Even though it features less content and the art and gameplay might not be that good, it is doing a better job in picturing the characters personalities, then HC2.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    Version: Update 8

Generally speaking: If you are into some kind of Corruption, Domination, NTR or Story-telling this might be exactly what you looked for.

Due to the protagonist beeing a bit dehumanized it allows for more freedom with how you want to play the game. Picture yourself as one of the villains (Netori), or the protagonist (NTR) or as one of the female characters (cheating) - you decide.

Generally this game plays more like a sex story, especially due to the pixel art. But because the allure of NTR is to play it out in your head the art actually suits the game very well. You can colour out the characters and the scenes with your own imagination. That makes the pixel art very appealing in times of games which feature very good graphics but bad story and story progression. The freeroaming sections are the reason why the RPGM engine really shines here!

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    Pros:
    • Story - Its a long intro, but you really get to know the characters, their backstories and the surrounding world, making the corruption aspect of the game much more interesting.
    • Corruption progress - The Dev takes the time to point out how the different characters in the story are corrupted and when stuff gets sexual it feels really rewarding and in a sense realistic, even though its in a fantasy world.
    • Attention to detail - be it with the characters, the world, the scenes. Everything seemes well-thought. You can feel the that the dev puts a lot of effort in this game.
    • The Dev - listens to and communicates with the community a lot. Delivers in time, puts a lot of effort inside the games he makes, does not make any promises he wont stand up to. Very trustworthy!
    • Soundeffects, music score - adds a lot to the atmosphere of the game and the different scenes
    • Kinks - dev is implementing some nice different kinks and fetishes in the game, such as BDSM, maledom, pregnancy&impregnation, blackmail. Some of them through sidecharacters and sidestories.
    • Scenes - the scenes themself are very well done. You find short ones showing the corruption process and longer ones when a new step is taken. There could be a few more in the beginning of the game though. But don't worry there are a lot after you played through the first few Chapters of the game.
    • No blueballing! - a lot of corruption games (like A Wife and a Mother) tend to have the problem that they take a lot of time until you get some action. While N_taii is not rushing through the corruption progress, you really get to see a lot of action!
    • Art - the pixel art itself is actually very well done. There are a lot of special positions, animations and objects to be explored within the game. Also the use of parallax mapping at a very basic level is notable. Still there is room for improvement.
    • No grind - a lot of RPG's tend to have fights and mini-games and tons of grind. There is almost none in HC2 (besides some small mini-games which you can skip most of the time) and that's just awesome!!
    • Gameplay elements - From update 6 on the author introduced freeroaming events - one of the best gameplay elements I have seen for a long time, making perfect use of the RPGM world where you can go and explore. Also N_Taii makes use of good other RPGM plugins and commands. So you can use ctrl to skip the text and hold space to speed up the animations. Simple - but a lot of RPGM games miss that. Also there is a nice little quest menu as well as other helpful details.
    • Patching and Polishing - From Update 8 on N_Taii started updating, polishing and adding content to the beginning of the game, which has been criticised by the community. This actually erases some of the games biggest mistakes that were acclaimed. All the reviews that claim this problem should be updated!
    Cons:
    • Character personalities - This is the only big minus for me in this game. While N_Taii gives his characters huge backgrounds all female characters behave in a very similar pattern. There is almost no resistance to the corruption and it is hard to distinguish betweeen the characters when you are new, because everybody apart of the male characters feels pretty similar. This is something HC1 did better.
    • Slow start - The start of the game is a bit slow, but only because the focus is a bit too much in favor of the story. I feel this could be fixed by implementing just a few more H scenes, e.g. by adding some free-roaming events. But N_taii already said he is considering to polish the start at some point. Edit: After doing so I still feel, that the start still is too slow and that there are too less scenes of the corruption progress. But it got a tad better then before.

    Final thoughts:
I can absolutely recommend this game! Give pixelporn a try and let your fantasy wander! And as much as I know from the Dev, he wont stop to put a lot of effort and thought into this game. He also listens to the community and polishes his game this way. Thats a wonderful combination. I really urge you to support N_Taii for his trustworthy and amazing work.

    • What are you waiting for? Go and play!!
    • If you liked the game, definitely check out HC1 afterwards!
    • One last thought concerning the development of HC3: Take the best aspects of HC1 and HC2 put them together, mix them really well and HC3 will be the best Henteria Chronicles ever seen.

Review at 10 hours: This game NTRs the player.

You have to play through 4 of hours of intro before seeing an inconsequential H scene that only lasts a few lines. Another 2 hours until the next really good H scene that gets you hooked (very easy to miss, use the walkthrough). But once you are hooked by this good scene (that the characters conveniently agree to pretend never happened, a bit lazy writing here), you have to read through another 3 hours before the main H plot starts. During this pre-game you will be doing mundane vanilla things like picking flowers and reading through 20 lines of dialog about breakfast, multiple times.

    Pros:
    • When it does happen, the H scene writing is great, despite being short as the character motivations are believable
    Cons:
    • 2+ hours of exposition is a snore, especially when the result is that it's copy pasted from the last H game you played.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
    • The gameplay consists of puzzles which are entirely non H-themed
    Mediocre:
    • The NPCs all have long backstories that are believable, but you'll never remember their names, so you just identify them by their gameplay (their profession or the location of their house) and will hope they eventually get plowed
    • The H art. I get that the allure of NTR is playing it out in your head. I also love reading sex stories, which occur entirely in my imagination. But for a game, the environment and set up is often sexier than the actual sprites; you'll know what I mean when you see a boob and have trouble identifying the nipple because it's a total of 12 pixels on a 256x256 pixel zoom in.

Ultimately, the game is similar to a novel with a few pages of sex scenes adapted to RPG maker form. You could probably sell the first ten hours as a book in Barnes and Nobles without upsetting a Christian alliance.

    Opportunities:
    • The effort spent on gameplay (currently just puzzles) and on environment should be more H relevant. Maybe make a gallery so players can see that upcoming content does in fact exist.
    • Like I said, this game NTRs the player. There is so much potential with each update. More corruption. Longer sex scenes. More imaginative sex scenes. It promises more so you go back for more. But like some NTR villains, the player is only getting teased and desperately wants to get plowed with good H content. Here's hoping that finally does happen after the 10+ hours I've sunk in, because honestly, not much has happened yet in terms of H, as it has been world building 95% of the time.
It makes me think, maybe the ultimate NTR villain is one that leaves the wife unsatisfied with her husband AND her paramour?

    __

UPDATE: After 20+ hours and having completed Update 4, there is finally H content so I have bumped the rating from 3/5 to 4.5/5. My personal recommendation is to just hold CTRL to fast forward the lengthy prologue. The plot is pretty generic so you aren't going to miss anything you won't piece together instantly.

Decent game overall, but starts out a bit slow.
Writing seems to be good overall but it's just your average jrpg cliche without the actual notion of jrpg gameplay, like it says in the dev notes it's basically a visual novel.

The "animated" scenes are as the snippets show, just pixel stuff.
So there's not much actual art or actual style to the game other than your basic RPGmaker additions.

I started liking the game at first but it got old quite fast, felt dry and boring after a bit. Nothing was really standing out overall.
Also it's just filled with "vouyerism" "ntr?" for basically all of the game.
I don't mind it usually but damn is this dry. It feels like the same thing over and over.

The best part of the game seems to be the writing for some of the characters, that's the only reason I am giving this a 3 instead of a 2.

At the moment it seems like this is a kinetic novel where choices don't seem to play a huge part but hopefully once the dev is closer to finishing the game will be more fleshed out.

Just an amazing game for any NTR lover. If you liked NTRPG, this game delivers on that in spades. If you played the first game, this one improves on it dramatically.
Careful, as it is unavoidable NTR, as some might mind that.

The build up is great and makes you connected to the characters. Dev updated on the first game with portraits, which are extremely well done from my perspective. Their art is amazing. However, there are no other cgs other than those portrait faces (and their changes, i.e. ahegao face etc) together with sprite sex. This is something which I think works great, as it gives enough space for imagination, which the NTR genre is all about imho.

Another great addition over the first game is that sex scenes just kinda organically happen in the village. Usually after finishing a quest that had something lewd, you will probably see it happen through a window or hear moaning through the door on that same day. I think that this is really great as it adds a lot of life to the village. I cannot wait to see more of those scenes add up. It is kind of a nice freeplay after you finished all that the latest update gives. I would love to see some of these little snippets happen without any quests as the game goes on. Just the characters randomly fucking on different days (as their corruption progresses).

You can also choose to skip scenes with the main characters, in order to have that imagination go wild even more.

Overall it is just amazing, that the dev managed to improve on an already great game. Almost all the gripes I had with the first game are adressed here. (and I did not have that many). Looking forward to more content and more games from this great dev.

The huge build-up makes you care for characters but mostly fails at sexual execution: Lazy writing provides unnatural speech and cheap reasoning, an extreme contrast to the care that went into the story beforehand.

In addition, the developer tries to influence f95 members into forgetting he's uploading the restricted version of the game and blackmails everyone by delaying his release when a full version is uploaded. If it had confident quality, one could play & support without manipulation.

This game is easily one of the best on the website. The writing in it is so good and believable that, unlike many games, makes you want to read what the characters are saying. I really like what N_taii does with the pixel art as it leaves just enough to the player's imagination to keep the game interesting. It's a good middle ground between being a text based game and a game with a lot of art in it. Pixel art has its advantages and I personally really enjoy how it adds to this game. I only rate the games I super enjoy on this website and this game definitely ranks high on the quality scale. Another game I really enjoy, Detective Girl of the Steam City, is similar in it's overall quality. I can't wait to see what N_taii adds next to this game because update 1 is already top tier.

I didn't know if I wanted to put one star or five, so here we are with three.
This game could be awesome in everything BUT I have a big issue with it.
First, I believe the definition of NTR given by the creator is right, but it only applies IRL. In a game, the MC and the player are both the same person, so a love interest can be the one MC likes but also any girls the player could like too. That's how I see NTR in a game.

So, back to the game. The story looks good, the characters are good and I believe well written, the H-scenes are well made but there is only NTR and Voyeurism, that's the reason I can't give it full marks.
And even if it's only for now and the NTR/Voyeurism stops after a while (maybe? I don't know) it would be too late as everything that happened before would still be lingering in my mind and I couldn't bypass it.

So here we go, three stars but could be five if the H-scenes were more centered around the MC and not around everyone BUT the MC.

I'm normally not a fan of sprite only games but I love NTR games so I figured I'd give this one a try and OMG I love it. The story is amazing the build up is amazing I can't wait till this one get done. I loved it so much I'm gonna download and try the first one!

A MUST PLAY for any fan of storytelling or NTR.

This game will be a future cult classic and honestly, this series has shown it lives up to and surpasses the original NTRPG series that many people loved.

Characters are presented in a way that makes you truly care about them. I always felt truly invested in their stories and was left at the end wanting more.

The story and plot is very detailed and interesting. It provides plenty of twists and turns and yet everything just connects. You don't see too many deep story hentai games and this is one of the few you will really see yourself dive into.

Scenes are very hot. This is a demo but the demo provides more content than practically every other demo on this site. The scenes that are in here are really satisfying, though albeit some are a bit too teasing. This however is only a taste as I know the official release will have much more.

Art is 10/10. There is always room for improvement but just look at it xD. I never felt put off. A lot of time was spent on this and I'm sure they will continue to spend time making things look great.

so this is easily 5 stars for me. Great Demo and my biggest disappointment is that I wanted moooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooore. :)

    ChaoticDude

This game shapes up to be better than its predecessor, which is a fairly high bar, as I feel like ch 1 of Henteria Chronicles is the best netorare focused, western produced game.
Starting up from more technical changes RPGM MV is a much better engine to use, as it allows for a few small, but much needed mechanics. I'm mostly talking about about mouse controls and being able to skip text by holding LMB.

When it comes to graphics they are mostly the same as previous game, with the exception of backgrounds which I think have seen some improvements. I can't really tell if these are sprites made for the game but their placement seems slightly more thought out and nicer to look at. I also really like the location design, which is usually lacking when it comes to hentai games. What I mean by that is the houses aren't significantly smaller or bigger looking on the inside, and the room placement is fairly realistic. Same could be said about the overworld (the villages) which makes this game a bit more immersive, which works in favour of it's tone.

Story and characters are pretty great I espacially like the game's atmoshpere. The elven village reminds me a lot of Shire, instead of, for example the villages from NRTPG 1/2, which I feel like this game was inspired by. That may be because of the location and race lore. The characters feel fairly sympathetic, and a lot of effort was put into their characterisation. I espacially like the mc's uncle who shapes up to be one of the main villains, especially since usually these types of characters tend to be cartoonishly evil (which the game doesn't really dodge that well with introduction of the High Elf general).
There is also quite a lot of fairly well executed themes in the story, mostly about war and isolation. Both of them seem political but they don't force any messages down your throat like it is customary in present day media.

When it comes to hentai content, there isn't much, one side character scene and one flashback with another minor character. Both of them lean heavily on netorare fetish, and they are fairly well animated, in the pixelated style. I don't really have any negative comments about them, and I feel like the small amount of them is NOT necessarily a bad thing. In a netorare genre slow pacing when it comes to erotic content is really good, as it can create a lot of tension (as seen in NTRPG series), and makes you appreciate corruption that happens to the heroines later on.
I can't help but feel that there's slight missing potential in this demo when it comes to these scenes however, and that is mainly their pacing in the story. They happen an hour or two into the gameplay, and by that time they feel really out of place. What I mean by that is that the story is immersive in and of itself, so in my case I subconciously forgot I was playing a hentai title. Similiar thing happens in NTRPG 2, where the prolouge takes about an hour or two, but in that game it feels like you are constantly teased by both the vanilla nad netorare content (peeping scene in the waterfalls and a small adventure with a minor rival character and heroines come to mind). When the main rivals appear it makes it incredibly impactful.
Of course Henteria is not NTRPG, and I think achieving that same feeling would not work in its context, but I think something else would work fairly well: adding a few vouyerustic scenes. I am thinking of mostly vanilla scenes like one with mc's mother and father or maybe ones with the shopkeeper and his wife. The second one might have some netorare undertones as she is the first person that cheats in the story.
These scenes might have made the erotic scenes have more flow and lead to netorare scenes more smoothly, besides they might have been an indicator of how much the heroines would have fallen as their scenes become more debaucherous.

Overall I rate this game highly even though its in early development. I see that there were many improvements between the authors first game in the series and I will gladly await its development. For those intrested strictly in a hentai content I would suggest to wait for an update or two, as you might get dissapointed by amount of sex scenes.

    Ion.TemUS

    Nice, decently long demo.

I like the set up a lot. Love the fact that the developer is pretty decent at writing and very articulate, and that they make aneffort in building up the world lore and the characters in a way that makes one actually care about them to a degree (not yet there, but we'll get there), and that they actually don't just make stupid stereotype characters with the typical "hentai logic" to advance plot points, but rather try to keep it somewhat believable/grounded (at least to a degree).

Also really love the meta-commentary on abuse of power and how emergency laws can be used to help a dictator to power. As someone who grew up in Europe, that is a very prevalent topic in our history.

I would have liked to have a bit more h-content. Not blatant content mind you, I don't need to see the act, but I was really aching for those little hints and breadcrums around the area to see whats going on beneath the surface. They do exist, but there aren't many yet. But given where we are in the story, it kind of makes sense that there aren't a lot yet. The pieces are only now just in place (at the end of the demo) and things are moving along in a very decent and natural-feeling pace.

I hope they can keep this up. Cause the plot is at the same time predictable (with enough foreshadowing to show the player exactly the main pairings that we will see in the game and let us look which ones we find the most interesting) and also intriquing and still open for potential twists and turns. Its not an Award-winning masterpiece by any means, but that is not what people play these games for, its not the purpose of the game.

The "villain" so far is still very generic. But I see potential to build them up with their nuance, although I feel its still the weakest point in the game so far. From my experience though, that is often the case in games such as these. One needs a reason for things to happen the way they do after all, and reasonably, even with the best storywriting out there, those motives of villains and monsters in stories such as these fall apart upon close examination, that's just the nature of the story and I think one has to suspend their disbelief here, especially if the dialogue is well written and the reasons are not too on the nose.

I had games before where main characters were put before ridiculous choices and questions that any normal thinking human being would have looked at and said "are you nuts? of course im not doing that, you think Im dumb?" but the characters just accepted it. Thankfully, this author doesn't seem to do this and tries to at least put a little thought into making things flow more naturally and not comprimise the integrity of their characters from the get-go.

A good start. The only lamentable about this is that its gonna take a good amount of time till the story is at the point that its worth for me playing it again, since Im a player that really dislikes doing things piece-meal, little by little. If the updates are anything like the first Chapter though, I think you can expect a satisfying frequency of moderately sized new content, especially in the writing and visual storytelling department.
