he took the feedbacks and critics from HC2 seriously and improved himself in that matter. Thats one of the reasons why I think N_taii is such a unique dev. He really works with feedback and critics and improves and grows a lot because of that.

Also he always was a great novelist and writer the biggest change in HC3 is one of the main critics from HC2 --> character personalities and relationships with the MC.

Still apart from that I absolutely adore the new premises of HC3 - the overall story and setting. Also the new sprites and hand-made pixel art makes the game feel more and more unique and you tend to forget that its a RPGM MV game.

I finished intro to HC3. Except praising I already posted in multiple places I have some suggestions/thoughts:
1. Add extra or configurable dash speed. Running is too slow IMHO. and/or add global engine 2x speedup option.

2. I see you buy assets. I suggest obtaining sound/music in FLAC format (asking provider to not use lossy format earlier, let them export to flac directly), and GFX in lossless one like PNG. You retain some flexibility later.

3. So far dialogues, characters, scenes are awesome, deep etc. I just hope reason for NTR will be believable and in-depth too. I simply fear this may be as weak point as HC2/HC1 where girls fucked around too easily IMHO. Girls could struggle more with fact they cheat. Like real women they may try not to burn bridges, always retaining MC as backup (unless hardcore NTR is chosen). They may try to stop cheating, ask for forgiveness (by themselves or if caught) etc.

HC3 is (so far) so unbelievably good, I still have troubles believing it will be maintained for the whole game for all aspects. It is possible you already found some way to do so, just still can't believe what I see

I also wonder what is difference between "happy" and "revenge" ending. While "revenge" looks like girls were (almost) lost, MC take them back, what will be "happy" one? Or - maybe - Happy is when girls were fucked and ended with MC, but "revenge" is ending WITHOUT staying with them, but, well, taking revenge.

4. Already discussed IIRC, "statistics". Most/some NTR games have:
a) "virginity lost to [name]", "best sex with [name]", "number of vaginal sex" etc.
b) graphical indicator (like swarm of hearts) of who girl likes/loves more. So during early game all hearts are for MC, but later they may wander to other male.

c) Girl's thoughts about MC, about sex in general, about sex with specific male, about pregnancy, about many things - all listed as text, changing according to events.... This is proven indicator of corruption, well-know method in modern NTR games.

The scene had two versions - limited and omniscient.

I thought about it also. Maybe for HC1/2 it was OK, HC3 is so narrative etc. that N_taii could forge more fuzzy, unique, sublime mechanic.
Few examples:
- like I said - girl's thoughts in text form. She could be in denial like "Virginity is not that important." after she lost it to other male and she said (thought) otherwise one day ago!
- dream sequence with MC asking her "avatar" about various things or seeing her body or sth else
- virginity is 0/1 (boolean) thing. It may be sth like cut rose flower somewhere (just an example).
Just some indirect stuff.

Statistics were good for any NTR game, just weaker for strictly linear ones, because during replay player understood statistics were flag-based (fake, ever replay same change).

The time mechanic brought the most confusion to the game, because of it was very difficult to find an certains events without walkthrough.
Also there were the boring 'courier' quests to get some scenes.. Why were they even added at all
Perhaps the author should have thought about switching the game to the novel type.
Looking forward to new quality slow corruption story.

Should i just do a high tier patreon payment or are there other options? Also, are there any scenes restricted to paying a certain amount? Beautiful! It was like a glimpse in the direction of some high budget movie soundtrack. I am not even kidding. The soundtrack got me totally by surprise (because it was already good in HC2 and I expected the same, but IMO its even better in HC3 and not just by a little bit).

Also the atmospheric sounds and lights are very good. You really feel your surroundings and the time of the day, or the weather.

Well if its not a question of money for you, definitely go for a higher tier. N_Taii really deserves to be supported. There are only a few devs that are that consistent, hard working, well communicating and listening and not only listening but really adapting and learning from critics and feedback.

Yes there are extra scenes for each game, that are a reward for the highest Patreon tiers.

If the game without walkthrough is unplayable and not understandable, then this is not ok. The time mechanic brought the most confusion to the game, because of it was very difficult to find an certains events without walkthrough.

There wont be puzzles and bigger riddles and/or minigames of that kind anymore. There will be an optional card game but its completly avoidable.

The time mechanic will stay the same (Morning and evening). I am quite sure that N_taii will also implement the days of the week. BUT he will implement a very nice mechanic he already introduced at patreon, where you will be able to see if any character has a freeroaming scene available (glowing stones). Its not implemented yet in the current alpha version but it will be in the beta.

I hope that when you interact with them they will also tell you where and at which time the event happens. As far as I know I believe that there will also be some kind of a switch or possibility to disable those glowing stones for those players that want to find the free-roaming scenes by themselfes and that are more into the mystery kind of playthrough.

They offer the opportunity for free-roaming scenes, short story driven quests, that are not minigames. Also the most improtant reason might be, that those quests let you indulge in the world and discover it by yourself (no scripted scenes where you just click through like with a VN).
Lets not forget that the HC games utilize the RPG momentum. And thats what makes this game stand apart from the usual VNs. Thats why it is possible to have tons of free-roaming events, an immersive world and story, more identification with the character because we decide where we go - at least at some points in the game. Thats what always comes a bit short for me personally in the classic VNs. And sandbox VNs - dont even start talking about them.

You can be sure though, that N_Taii is much more sensible for the right amount of VN elements and RPG elements now. It will be a grand mixture utilizing the best of both worlds.
This time around there wont be a lot of running around, searching, thinking about how to solve the puzzles. Those interruptions, confronting you with the need of using both hands will be very rare. Instead you will have a lot of juicy scenes and hot and interesting and breath-taking story moments to find and to enjoy

This critique/feedback concerning the (I call it) women's resistance popped up several times by now and I am quite sure that N_Taii will think of implementing this properly this time in HC3. N_Taii said that the corruption processes of the different female LIs will be quite long ones this time (also because the main story will be more focused on NTR - in HC2 the main story wasnt really connected with the NTR happening). So I think we can expect a lotmore ups and downs concerning the corruption curve and no easy corruption or instant fuck doll prostitution. I am so fucking looking forward for things to unfold... the NTR will be VERY juicy this time, I can feel it

I especially hope for at lot more internal struggles with the female characters (eg. dream sequences, denying to be groped in public the first few times or at certain places, maybe even a slap in the face of the antagonist at one point, or the examples you named or that were named by other before...). Thus, when the women are finally completly 'stolen' by the antagonists later on, all scenes will feel much more rewarding. They really had to struggle to now openly grope them or make out with them, but they did it and now its possible. If its to easy its not juicy imo

I feedbacked to N_Taii that I would especially like to see at least two NTR endings this time (e.g. one gangbang ending and one where there are one on one parings or something like that). HC is a NTR game series and in HC2 we had 3 non-NTR endings (true, happy, revenge) and 1 NTR ending. I would like this to be balanced out in HC3.
N_Taii responded that he might cut the true ending, add an additional NTR ending but will preserve the happy and revenge ending.

For me personally there is absolutely no need for such statistics. I dont need stuff like that. But I think thats something where it really comes down to the personal taste. I might look at those statistics once or twice but thats it. So if it wont cut a lot of production time and resources I would say go for it, but otherwise I would vote against it. Its not what makes HC stand out. It would be a nice addition for certain audience though

1)Is dash really that slow? I mean, the main map itself is relatively small, and it also has a TP system in 4 different locations for those who wish to go even faster. Increasing the running pace would earn people a few seconds at most. Could you tell me if there was a part in the game that made you wish you could run faster? I'm curious.

2)I feel like we've already had this conversation, and it always leve me kind of confused. Are you suggesting I contact all the people that sold their music and ask them to provide their songs in FLAC format? Since none of them provide that, that might be asking for special treatment, wouldn't it? Besides, would FLAC format even work in RPGM MV? It only allows me to use OGG format. Or maybe there's something I misunderstood.

3)I'm afraid that there will always be unrealistic elements in NTR games such as mine, as with most porn games. Especially since I avoid using any artifices like aphrodisiacs or hypnosis as an inherent part of the NTR process. Still, I have a few ideas of how I will go about it, exploiting weaknesses in the women's personalities, personal dreams or ambitions, past traumas, etc... to make it seem more realistic.

I'd rather stick with what I have in mind, and give me the time to familiarize myself witht the current particularities and new features of the game without adding new ones, especially if they don't seem essential. Edit: Happy Ending focuses more on a "happy ending" for the MC. The antagonists' fate doesn't matter as much as giving our protagonist the happiness that's been robbed from him. Revenge focuses more on, well, getting revenge by having the antagonists meet a fate that would satisfy most players. MC's happiness is not exactly relevant there.

1. Yes, please leave more speedup options. Yes, they are needed. 1,2,3,4 ones for example. Or 1,2 like no0w and global engine 2x switch (so door opening animation will be 2x faster too, not only dash).
2. If you buy sound/music assets already in lossy format (mp3, Ogg Vorbis) then do nothing, just grab and use it. But if you commission work to sound artist (they make sounds for you), ask for FLAC based source files delivered aside of Ogg/mp3. Sth similar as example: you want someone to film some scenes for your YT channel, but it is 2009 year and you use 240p video on YT. You ask cameraman to deliver uncompressed movie for later usage, despite NOW you use 240p anyway. In 2022 you reupload 1080p version.
3. Delivering same quality as intro will be probably enough Many players provided similar feedback, and so far CH3 intro is far better.

There is actually a quest board in the MC's room that lists all existing side quests, their location and their requirement. As for the main quests, there should always be an indication as to what the MC should do next. If the players relied on those in-game features, I don't think there is a need for a walkthrough there.
The courier quests you mention had several purposes, some that have already been mentioned above: one was to encourage players to walk around the map, talk with people, spot freeroam events, and feel the world as a living thing that progresses even without player intervention. Another purpose was to give players a bit more control. If the game only consisted of "speak to that person that's literally right next to you", I feel like it might lead to a severe detachment from the HC series as a game, and it would set players in a boring pace "cutscene, 3-4 clicks, cutscene, etc...". So yeah, they're kind of a way to keep players a bit more invested, as well as to guide them towards exploring the world. I try my best to set up an interesting semi-open world, so I'd like it if tit didn't go to waste : )

I try my best to invest part of my budget into buying high quality RPG music. More budget for HC3 means more music. I try, with some exceptions, not to reuse the same music I used in previous game, and I now sit on hundreds of potential tracks to use in HC3, and it sometimes take me close to an hour to finally settle on one I like.
I also have to slap myself on the wrist in order to prevent myself from always buying more and more music^^

If we look back at my 3 previous games, I can confidently say that this game is eventually going to get completed, unless I die halfway through^^ So technically, by subbing, you are investing in a completed game
You can start from 5$, which gives you access to the base version of the game a bit later than the first release, all the way to 30$ for your name to be permanently in-game for this game and all the upcoming games I make. 20$ gives you access to an extra scene for the upcoming release, as well as access to all the extra scenes that were ever released previously (for HC1 and HC2 as well). hope that answered your question : )
