Hello ladies and gentlemen, how is it going in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? I've been pretty busy lately, what's with the release of the game on Steam, but I took a short break over the weekend where I worked less than usual, so I feel more refreshed now.

---First of all, I feel a bit ashamed about it, but I have a small request for those who have bought the game on Steam. If you have the time and the possibility to do so, might I ask you to leave a review when you feel like it? I've been told Steam won't promote games internally unless they have at least ten reviews (outside of reviews left by those who've received the game for free), and I currently have four. The language deosn't matter however, and if you want to leave a negative review, it's fine too. I welcome all feedback, good and bad. Thank you for your attention!---

Onto HC3's development now. As I said, I've been a bit busy with the Steam release and have taken things a bit easier over the weekend, so things haven't progressed as fast as they should have.

Still, I've done most of the story segment leading to Cyanna's first scene, which I've decided will be quite a complex scene to make. It will involve not only Cyanna and Ulrod, but Alys, Eddie, another female soldier and three men from the militia. That means an eight people scene.

Due to the sheer complexity in terms of sprites, animations, and sound design, it will probably be a bit shorter than your average scene, but it'll be good to bring back Alys and the gang. Some people have been asking for them after all. The premise of that scene will be... quite peculiar, and I worry that people might not like it (or maybe I'm just overthinking things), but I suppose the contents of a scene matter more than the reason why it started.

By the way, the extra scene is almost certainly going to be Rose with Meredith and the Duke, and maybe Stenia too but I'm not 100% sure yet. The main downside, however, will be that the extra scene and the first Rose scene will be almost back to back.

This last story segment has required a few new maps and some entirely new outfits for Cyanna, Ulrod, Leto, etc... as well as some entirely new NPC outfits, but I quite like the way it turned out. I hope you will too~

I unfortunately don't have a release date yet, sorry.

The god N_taii heard my prayers and finally gave me the scene of Cyanna with the girl soldiers that I've been waiting for almost since the beginning of the game

There are lines to cross, but it's worth remembering that if these limits are crossed, will N_Taii be able to give a decent ending to those who go non-ntr? so it's best to stick to the planned updates. Those who want more corruption will go for the NTR ending, and those who want to see Leto in action will go for the other endings. Regarding the possible revenge endings, I think there's zero chance of death for the antagonists, at least not at Leto's hands. I don't even need to mention the girls. I feel that for some reason Shani will be used in this ending, her and the cuckold guy from her village.

Well, it would feel a little out of place that not even in the ending of revenge, Leto did not kill at least a few of the antagonists, Ulrod at most, this related to the fact that what Cyanna began doing with Ulrod was to keep Leto away from the battlefield with humans, so witnessing how Leto becomes someone who does not hesitate to kill without mercy, would be a great contrast to how her actions ended up turning Leto into what she sought to avoid. XD

Well, if we look at the answers we can choose from, in some of them he is quite threatening, so I think he will be more of a tough guy than Noah was.

The truth is that yes, this time we have 2 options of NTR endings to choose from, I really like it, especially the second option because as I said I like the NTRs where is not revealed

Of course, I also waiting for the scenes, but n_taii has kept us in the shadows for quite a while as far as the story is concerned. I mean, with the last two side quests and the last main quest on the beach, I feel like we've had a satisfactory amount of scenes, at least that's how it is for me, but not much story and I'm sailing through the mist trying to discern everything XD

I can imagine a scene in that ending where Cyana and Rose are having sex and Leto arrives and they both start arguing about who will leave the fun to distract Leto, and while one is with Leto the other enjoys it and then they switch hahaha, one thing I like about NTR's where there are several characters is how they interact with each other and support each other so they don't find out anything haha, although Leto is not as dense as Noah, him being very cocky and trusting the girls blindly will make option 2 of the final NTR a lot of fun haha

If you are referring to the scene from last Pol (where the Duke is seen at the window) there is still no context about that scene, although the Duke may play with Leto's mind and give him a glimpse of what is going on behind his back.

Something I notice is that many are enthusiastic about the ending where the antagonists, along with the female characters are cruel towards the protagonist while he has no knowledge of what really happens, but they are not so much towards the endings where the protagonist is cruel towards the antagonists, I mean like the end of HC2 with Edwyr, Noa sent him to be fucked by a gay for the rest of his life and that was his punishment, and Zeno wasn't even Noa who killed him, basically they tell us that Zeno let Noa run him through with his sword, fell into the cliff survived and More killed him, as for the rest of the male members of the village they were either imprisoned or exiled, and Noa basically ended up as More's pet, and the female characters continued living what they had lived until that moment with the antagonists but instigated by Noa, no remorse or guilt was felt from any of them, only a little from Awyn but the rest Meh, it didn't feel like a revenge ending, really.

I also like the ending of netorare, where it is not revealed and continues to happen without being revealed, but they should make the other endings in a way that makes it feel like things are even or at least satisfactory, if we are going to have a good ending for netorare, we should have a revenge ending at the same level XD.

Of course it would also be great to have an ending where the Duke manages to get Leto on his side and he becomes like his adopted son or something like that, and Leto simply starts treating the women close to him as simple objects and all feelings of love or affection towards them disappear, A combination of ending netorare, revenge and a little bit of happiness, maybe equal amount of points in netorare and revenge and a few points in happiness XD

Although it sounds interesting an ending where the duke “adopts” Leto as a son and influences him until he also becomes his side, I think N_taii will stay with the 4 endings he already has.

Adding a fifth ending may already be too much and may take too long, and something tells me that N_taii's plan is to finish HC3 before the end of the year to have December off and enjoy a well-deserved rest before going back to work.

Hi, I just wanted to say that I absolutely enjoy the HC games, the characters, the story as well as the subtle background elements that play a major role. Keep up the good work! Tho it does make me question, do you plan, in the future to make a game where the main character is not unavoidably NTRED(No hate on the Ntr aspect, it's what makes the game more fun in my opinion) but instead has the people around him get Ntr based on the choices the player has made?

Hey, I'm glad you liked the game ; )

To be honest with you, I try to keep my storylines pretty linear, andI'm probably going to keep it that way as a solo dev. Multiple storylines based on players' choices is honestly quite messy to develop, can be buggy as hell, and takes a lot more time to finish.

When developing a single storyline with a few extra elements here and there, that means everyone will be able to play what I worked on. For example, if I pout out 1h30 worth of content, that means all players will get to play those 1h30, and won't be locked outside of X and Y content because they made A or B choice, if that makes sense? I, myself, have had experiences where I would wait months for an update and then get disappointed because, based on the choices I had made before that, I basically got 0 scene in said update because the dev only worked on routes and storylines I wasn't interested in. Routes and branching paths might make the game seem bigger, but unless you're willing to do everything, it actually means less content for everyone. It's not something I wish to have in my games^^

Branching paths makes sense for certain kinds of games, but not for a game of the HC style. The HC games aren't simply about the main character getting cucked, they're about everything around him spiralling into corruption and depravity. There would be far too many variables if the player had multiple paths to take. Imagine how complicated things would be if N_Taii had to develop a path for each character corrupted and uncorrupted, for some characters being corrupted and others uncorrupted, for side content seen or unseen, and so and so forth. If that was how things were to be developed updates would come either a couple of times a year or each individual segment of the game would have to cover multiple releases. With multiple paths Rose and Cyanna would still prorbably be virgins. It would stretch development out by years and lead to developer and fan burn out. The HC games are simply not amenable to varying paths and I hope for whatever game N_Taii develops next that he even goes so far as to ensure that all major characters are part of the main content so as to ensure the game never feels as stagnant as HC3 has for the past year and a half.

Have to agree that it's not worth the effort to have a full branching path for keeping the girls pure. While I love the idea of "What if I could stop the Duke/Ulrod/etc.", I believe the complexity would take away from the script (and the script is the main reason I enjoy the game so much). The only way that I could see something like that working would be if there were like a bonus release after the endings that could be like a "What if?" scenario. A short story that is roughly an update or two's worth of content that could describe what happens if the Duke was unable to proceed with his plans for some reason. Like, maybe Ulrod slays the Duke in the beginning when he discovers that Cyanna is to be used.

I'm not sure that it would necessarily be a "Happy" ending though since the actions have seemingly helped protect the kingdom. Actually, I think that if this "What If?" episode were to happen, a bad ending would be appropriate to show that Rose's actions really were necessary to achieve a "happy" ending. I could definitely see the "What If?" ending with some or all of the main characters dying due to the lack of protection and the kingdom being taken over.
