I might be going against the grain here, but I’m a huge fan of the Hentaria Chronicles series (though I haven’t played the first one, I really enjoyed HC2 and absolutely love HC3). I’ve had some great discussions with N_taii, and I think it’s important to share my perspective.
Unlike many others, I actually love the pixel art CGs in these games. It’s a rare style, and I think it helps keep the immersion intact. When most of the game is in pixel art, switching to 2D CGs (no matter how beautiful they are) feels like it breaks the overall atmosphere. The pixel art makes the experience feel consistent, and for that, I really appreciate it. Plus, the detail in these scenes is just fine, and N_taii doesn't need to worry about pixelating parts for the Japanese market.
I know a lot of players focus heavily on the NTR elements, and while I do enjoy them, I’m also here for the other endings — especially the Normal, Revenge, and True endings.
Personally, I would have loved to see some reverse NTR sub-endings, where Leto, frustrated by Rose’s cheating, ends up with Cyanna, Haylen, or even Lily. These women all clearly have feelings for him, and I think a harem ending or just a relationship with one of them would make perfect sense within the game’s logic. It would have been a great way to explore their dynamics in a more satisfying way.
Now, I really want to focus on the Revenge ending. I’ve been really hoping this ending will be Leto’s own vengeance, and not him just being a pawn in someone else’s plan like Noah in the last game.
I can’t wait to see the downfall of characters like the Duke, Ulrog, Jazon, and the old pervert tormenting Lily. These characters serve a great role in the NTR plot, but I really want to see a powerful, satisfying punishment for their actions.
- For Jazon, I think he deserves a violent death — something like being stabbed by the women he blackmailed (except for Haylen?) and left to die in his own blood, begging for forgiveness.
- For Ulrog and the Duke, I’d love to see something like a magical chastity belt that causes them agonizing pain whenever they get aroused. The Duke should be forced to watch Leto with his harem, but unable to do anything about it, suffering in misery.
- Death is often used as a form of punishment, but in my opinion, it’s too quick. I would rather see these villains suffer for what they’ve done. Their actions should never be forgiven easily.
I’m curious about a few things:
- What does Rose think of the Duke? Does she fall for this ugly bastard, or does she feel pity for him?
- Cyanna, while she might secretly love Leto, is forced to sleep with Ulrog to atone for something in the past and protect Leto. But the more we see her, the more she seems to accept Ulrog — does she see him as her boyfriend now?
- Jazon, one of the characters I hate the most. He doesn’t just manipulate, he blackmails the women and slowly corrupts them. What would Haylen think if she knew everything he did behind her back? She’s brought a wolf into the henhouse. I’d love to see Leto surprise Jazon, and beat him to the point where he’s disfigured, letting him suffer for everything he’s done.
With villains like these, there’s a lot of potential for the NTR, Normal, Revenge, and True endings. It’s important for Leto to not come off as a weak character who just takes everything. He needs agency in his decisions.
Also, I’d love to see the girls realize how much they’ve been deceived. This was something that was missing in HC2, and it made Celis’ redemption arc (and even Aywin’s) feel less believable. It’s crucial that there are confrontations between Leto and each girl at the right moments in the story before any final decisions are made. If the girls start doubting their actions only when the plot demands it, it’ll feel like it doesn’t make sense. Even if this is a game with clear hentai logic, it still needs to feel logically consistent.
The Hentaria Chronicles series is a true gem of the NTR genre with a solid storyline and endings that, despite being unavoidable in the NTR sense, still make sense. I’ve heard a lot of praise for the ending of HC1, and I’m really excited to see how HC3 wraps everything up—though I’m also a bit apprehensive.

The Henteria games tend to fall down in two places. First, at the plateau point where the foreplay ends and the sex begins. N_Taii is much better at making the build up than he is at keeping things interesting after sex has already happened. Rose and Cyanna both feel like they've been through the same events four or five times since they put out only in slightly different scenarios. Second, the endings. The villains are simply wiped out and the women are never properly punished. The closest we get is Celis in the HC2 revenge ending, but at that point being a relief woman for Noah's troops doesn't feel like a punishment.
Leto is the closest N_Taii has produced a main character who actually has personality so he should hopefully get a proper ending. HC1 and 2 both lean far too heavily on Deus Ex Machina to work. Both fall back on deities who either have no influence on the main story after the introduction only for the deity to go "It was me, Austin, it was me all along!!!!" without anything to back it up, or they're referenced a few times throughout the game but their abilities and positioning within the story are not established until the ending leading to a villainous turn from Noah feeling out of place and unearned. In HC3 I'm definitely hoping that the revenge is not only thourough, but also actually impacts the women directly. Lily and Haylen can sidestep it, since they haven't actually wronged Leto in any way, but if Rose and Cyanna actually wind up actually doing anything villainous to help their partners against Leto then they need to be punished severely and nothing that is as simple as "Well, Cyanna is a slut now so her punishment is to be the cum rag of the city guards." or "Rose is Leto's top bitch in his harem." I've said it once and I'll say it again... Rose in the revenge ending should be sad and alone having lost her boyfriend, friends, and freedom in exchange for dick.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind kisses or scenes like that if they were only in the pure NTR route, but when they happen in the normal, revenge, or true endings, Rose really needs to show guilt or remorse. Without that, her “redemption” feels inconsistent.
I understand that Rose supposedly gives in to the Duke for the artifact, but then why doesn’t she involve Leto instead? He may be hesitant and still a virgin, but by the time she’s already lost her hymen and gone that far, Leto would eventually notice. It would have made more sense for her to at least try to lean on Leto instead of immediately submitting to the Duke.
I have nothing against NTR betrayal, but I need a redemption arc that feels coherent and earned. N_Taii said Rose does it to protect the people, but honestly, she doesn’t look like she’s suffering at all during those scenes. I would have preferred to see her gradually manipulated and visibly conflicted, instead of pure hentai logic.
Other NTR games have shown how revenge and justice can feel truly satisfying:
- Dark Hero Party – Watching Imos punish Trash and the Celestial Dragons was extremely cathartic.
- Ideology in Friction – One villain is killed and resurrected repeatedly to be stabbed and tormented by everyone he wronged. It’s brutal, but it feels deserved and emotionally satisfying.
- Hentaria Chronicles 2 – The true ending where Eydir dies is the only one that really feels justified, but even then, I wished for more direct confrontations with Celis and Aywin.
That’s why I hope in HC3 we get epic revenge against the Duke, Brutus, Ulrog, Jazon, and the old man harassing Lily. Characters like Jazon and the Duke need punishments that fit their crimes, not just quick deaths. Imagine magical castration, long-term humiliation, or the women themselves taking revenge—anything that makes their downfall feel truly earned.
Without this emotional closure, even the “revenge” or “true” endings feel incomplete, because the villains don’t pay enough for the suffering they caused.
