Honestly, I just wish N_Taii would listen to me as much as he listens to you, lol.I mean, I can't really make negative comments about the semem smooch because it's technically my fault for introducing N_Taii to the idea.![]()
But he promised I wouldn’t be disappointed and that he’s taken my feedback seriously, so I’m keeping my trust in him.
I want to be clear: I’m not criticizing the NTR or that it’s unavoidable—I actually love that N_Taii stays true to his own vision instead of doing cheap fanservice like so many creators do just to make money. That’s why I support him, promoted his games to my community, and plan to write a full HC3 analysis like I did for HC2. If he ever makes a remake, maybe my ideas will help make it even stronger.
The thing is, what really makes NTR powerful and memorable for me is when the heroines still love the MC while falling. That lingering affection is what gives the betrayal weight and makes it hurt in the best way.
If they stop loving him right away or just “switch boyfriends,” then it doesn’t feel like NTR anymore—just a breakup followed by a random fling. There’s no thrill, no regret, no sense of tragedy.
I’ll give an example: imagine an NTR game where the wife gets blackmailed, immediately dumps her husband, and just gives in to pleasure with the other guy. That wouldn’t hit at all—there’s no betrayal, just lust. The real sting of NTR comes when she’s doing something she knows is wrong, still caring about the MC deep down, yet giving in because of weakness, manipulation, or desire. That’s where the heartbreak and thrill come from.
This is also why I liked some darker NTR stories like certain Atelier Sakura games. In one, the blackmailer takes revenge on a woman who humiliated him years ago.
- In the bad ending, she becomes addicted to his cock and even tells her husband she’s leaving him for the other guy.
- And the blackmailer laughs in her face:
“You think I’d actually date a slut who dumped her husband just for a cock? I only did this to humiliate you!”
He uses and humiliates her daily after that. Even the ex-husband feels pity, because she truly destroyed herself.
That’s why I hope in HC3, Rose and the others keep their love for Leto alive even while falling. It makes the NTR hurt more, makes redemption arcs meaningful, and gives the story emotional weight. If they just become happy toys for the villains with zero regret, it loses the tragic edge that makes this genre so impactful.
