I know that he's not the same person Cyanna knew as a kid and he's probably much worse than what he let's on, but my guess is that Cyanna's gonna be too far gone by the time she finally realises what kind of a person Brutus truly is, and that's what i don't like about her corruption
I kinda disagree? I could see it going that route for sure, but I also think that it could happen when Cyanna is too far in to just stop, but not so far gone to where she's all in on riding the Brutus train. Because unlike Rose, it's harder to set up the circumstances in which Cyanna acquiesces and doesn't just fight back against Brutus. Rose needs to put the crown ahead of Leto due to how high the stakes are, but Cyanna's top priority will always be Leto, I feel. So you can't really go the normal blackmail route with her, like the Duke is with Rose.

Plus, Cyanna is inevitably going to find out the stuff Brutus is involved in, and even if she was fine with Brutus before that moment, she's definitely going to be conflicted after finding out. Cause there's a big jump between "trading sexual favors for the safety/preferential treatment of your LI out of guilt" and "being okay with rape".

And honestly, I feel like the corruption works better that way anyway. It would be weird if the only conflict Cyanna had was with her feelings for Leto, and not involve Brutus' behavior/her own morals at all.

I agree completely with your take, thats the weakest storyline for me, the fact that they are the same age and saved her life once is like... why? I want a disgusting dude to do the corrupting, not a dude that I'd believe could take her with standard ways like... inviting her to a date lol
Not to jump on the dogpile of Cyanna's storyline and seem too negative, but I'm of a very similar mind at the moment. It hasn't reached the point of Lily's sidequest (where I've just accepted that it clearly is being written for someone with different tastes), because I am still waiting to see where Cyanna's story goes and things still have ~plenty~ of time to improve.

Yet looking at it now, I feel like it leans a little too far into the "what could have been" romantic tension and remorse between them. I have no doubt that it is written this way intentionally, of him hiding his true nature and blatantly trying to manipulate her, but he almost seems like a completely different character (at least so far) with Cyanna compared to how we see him during the first monster hunt with Alys, even before he duels her and we get to see his full potential for brutality.

But unlike with the other antagonists, we haven't been given much of a chance to experience his private thoughts about what he is doing. Those moments with Jazon where he completely drops the act and makes it clear how little he thinks of Haylen as a person help build up the anticipation of when she will eventually get see the true version of him. Meanwhile, with Brutus, it seems safe to assume that it will progress in a similar direction of him becoming more aggressive and rough with Cyanna, but the pacing and tone of it feels so much more... languid in a way that doesn't play into the whole appeal of his character.

Does Cyanna do anything with her knowledge of the Duke directly ordering that Leto be put in danger?

It felt kind of rushed about Haylen, plus the motives don't seem convincing to me, it's clear that Jazon is neither pure nor in love and he doesn't need to "practice" with Haylen either.

The writer seems like he didn't know how to make it coherent or had to rush things.

From my taste it skipped a stage of Haylen's corruption.

Also the Lily thing also didn't convince me how she was left.

It does feel like the corruption is happening a wee bit fast this time and it's a little half baked as a result, but better that than how long it took for things to really feel like they were up and running in the first two games.

Is it, though? I mean, it's your own personal impression, and I can't tell you you're wrong for feeling like this.

True, it doesn't show up in "Latest Updates" yet i'll give you that, but the title is still there and the thread says that it was updated today.
I reported the game, but sometimes it can take several days to show up on the Latest Updates page. The mods are quite busy.

No Rouse Quest?
Nope. You can check what's new in each update by looking up the "Changelog" section in the OP of this thread.

Ulrod tells her that the Duke has plans for Leto and that he can't disobey his master. Wondering if she uses that information to try keep Leto safe
Well, her whole corruption arc revolves around that knowledge. She also knows very little about the details of what the Duke has in mind for Leto.

I don't know what you meant by slow, because it already is the correct pacing even slower than HC2. Unless you prefer where the corruption happens at the end instead of a buildup which is not good. Like do you mind taking 10 update for a sex scene? I would not

You can call me wrong all you like, but I'm not and getting defensive about it does you no good. HC1 and 2 both have longer, more involved opening sequences proportionate to the amount of content in them. Focusing on the amount of updates and the passage of time doesn't really paint an accurate picture of what's happening. I'm not talking about how many hours you put into getting to the point in which they start getting scenes, I'm talking about the narrative elements that get them where they need to go.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you're doing a bad job. I just feel like the story hasn't pushed a few of the characters to the level they're at. Just feels like you're nailing things to the wall very fast and not everything is sticking. Which, again, is fine, you're three games into making things work out just fine.

Just wanted to point out that I wrote "I can't tell you [that] you're wrong". A bit of a mouthful, but there's a negative in there, so I didn't call you wrong.^^
As for the rest, I would tend to disagree with you, as we delve deep into the personality and pysche of every character to explain their actions and what lead to their decision. Considering their entire backstory has been set up to explain why they agreed to what is happening, I feel the words "tossing their scenes out there" are slightly unfair, and reducing their triggers to "minor amount of emotional pressure"

a bit dishonest too.

Then again, best we agree to disagree. :)

The crystal balls are still telling stuff is going on even after I complete a quest. Not sure if it's a bug or something I missed.

The crystal balls aren't actually related to the quests, they just indicate that there's a freeroam event going on somewhere on the map. Is that what you were referring to?
