I don't get an awful lot of feedback on the extra scenes, but I so happened to get this one on the latest 20$ update on Patreon. Keep in mind, the scene itself seems to cater to this person's fetishes, so I believe they're more likely to praise it as a result, even if anyone else would have found it average.

The reason why I don't do main characters on the extra scenes is so that people won't feel like they're missing out too much if they decide not to subscribe to the higher tiers. I might involve Cyanna or Rose later down the line, but if I do, I'll make sure it's maybe some extra fetish or a specific situation that has no impact on the story or the corruption as a whole.

Yup, I sent them the update. Subscribestar has suddenly become a pain in the ass because I've got to fill some sort of US form for tax purposes and as long as I don't, their unremovable warning takes half of the screen which means I can't see my messages or anything^^

The save files that N_Taii provided for the Update are most likely in Partial-PoV and that is why you didn't see the scenes as they happened, when i reached the campsite with Jazon i realised that something was weird because based on the dual conversation between Cyanna&Ulrod and The Duke&Rose, there should've been a scene or something, plus then i remembered this PoL where Leto and Jazon was walking and for me it did not show the girls on the side.

Took the dive for you, and personally I'm going to have to tell you that it wasn't worth it for me. I was hoping that the mystery character would be at least tangential to the main characters, but they were really more flashbacks for the story than development of the other characters. Personally, for characters that we don't have any build-up for, I didn't enjoy how I spent around 80% of the update watching those scenes.

I usually always pay for any of the Rose and Cyanna updates, but I'd say the scenes were short for the wait (quality is still good and you can tell the animation and art is being worked on though). Actually, the Cyanna scene was so short I didn't even expect it to cut off without another scene. Their story also didn't move much compared to some backdrop involving the "mystery character" though.

If you saw the undercover questline as a huge sidetrack, then I think you'd find this update to be worse in terms of momentum, development (of Rose/Cyanna, not the story).

Wasn't he venting about the King while banging one the maids. He for sure hates the King, probably just loves the Queen more than he hates the King.

I haven't played the update yet so I'm only working from partial information from what people have shared and might change my mind once I've seen the whole context... but in theory, I am 100% on board with the world of Henteria leaning a little darker in tone. :love:

Hell, I still regularly think back to how immediately grimdark the prologue of Chapter 1 was — probably my favorite part of the whole game — where it establishes right out of the gate how monsters take women prisoner to keep them as sex slaves and gives you the briefest glimpse of what that looks like. But then it feels like that whole aspect of the worldbuilding never really comes up again in a meaningful way, because the actual villains of Chapter 1 behave more like humans than the monsters you are shown at the beginning. Even once the corruption is fully set in by the end, you never see Eleonora fall that far because her fate at the hands of Ezekiel doesn't line up with what you see in the prologue, when it feels like that would have been the most ironic ending for her as the invincible valkyrie who could never be defeated in combat; instead, she just becomes submissive to Ezekiel in a way that feels functionally indistinguishable from Zeno and Aywin in Chapter 2, which says a lot about how "human" the relationship feels.

Of course it's not hard to understand why that has never been a major focus when you are rolling the dice with Patreon if you focus on it too much and that it's hard to stretch that "captured by monsters" premise out into a long-form narrative when it's so straight-forward. But I do still wish it would pop back up every once in awhile as part of the setting, even if it was just with "expendable" side-characters like Alys or ambient scenery -- like instead of the bug hunting expedition that Leto went on, it was clearing out a large goblin nest and freeing a bunch of their captives. Or there could've been a guided stealth sequence of sneaking through the goblin camp to unlock a gate from the inside for the rest of the guards with a lot of the reusable sprite animations happening in the background.


(Also yes, this *is* a weirdly specific tangent but I have run out of NTR games to keep my brain busy.)
