If everything works out the first release should be some time this week, with the secondary release coming five days later, and the public release roughly a month after the first release. So if you're paying for it this week or next, and if you're not then you're probably looking at around the end of November.New pol? When is this update expected?
Lol I forgot that there were 2 girls (demoness, succubus?) in that dream. And when you bring up screenshots, on the right one the models of this girls(succubi?) are familiar.... So they are Rose and Cy but in different color of skin and hair. Coincidence?
No, that's literally what was intended, for them to look like Rose and Cyare familiar.... So they are Rose and Cy but in different color of skin and hair. Coincidence?
P.s. By the way, @Matoga maybe you`ve got the savefile for 2 of the dream parts?
Knock yourselves outThat said I have zero memory of the actual events of the dream outside of the scenes posted by Matoga, so I honestly don't know how overt the foreshadowing may have been in regards to the overarching plot.
I'm almost certain I've mentioned it before, but I really hope that Leto's dream sequences aren't just a repeat of the one from Chapter 2. It was fine there, and I enjoyed the abrupt shock of putting that right in Noah's face during part of the game where he was still bumbling around with no reason to jump directly to that conclusion. It worked fine as part of the demon's scheme to plant that seed of paranoia in his mind. They almost look like a photo negative of Rose and Cyanna, N_Taii wasn't exactly subtle about it. It's a recurring event in the HC games, I don't recall if HC1 did it but HC2 definitely did the whole "sinister dream sequence" business. HC2 was pretty overt with how the dream sequence was clearly part of the real villain's attempt to manipulate Noah into doing her bidding, so I'm kinda curious to see if Nega-Rose and Anti-Cyanna are more than simple figments of Leto's imagination since I seem to recall the dream sequence happening at a point before Leto would have had any suspicions about the behaviour of his loved ones. That said I have zero memory of the actual events of the dream outside of the scenes posted by Matoga, so I honestly don't know how overt the foreshadowing may have been in regards to the overarching plot.

But with Leto... We know he already had something weird happen with him finding the artifact on the ship during the prologue, but it's been so absent from the story ever since outside of the cult scenes where all of them are going "wow, we really want to find that spooky artifact!" that having it turn out to be some entity that has been influencing Leto from the very beginning in the same way that Morë was influencing Noah would be so much less interesting to me than the alternative of it just being a result of Leto's innate paranoia -- both because it would be such a direct repetition of the previous story beat, and because you at least had scenes of Zeno talking to Morë in the cave that established her as an active force driving the plot, while we still have no clue what the artifact even is.
More than some "it was an evil ghost all along" reveal, I would love for the dreams to just be foreshadowing of Leto being truly flawed in a way that even he doesn't realize. That it doesn't just come down to him being "too nice for his own good", but on some subconscious level, he never fully trusted Rose or any of the women in his life because he has a deeply psychological fear of abandonment from losing his family at a young age. Even during those happy times, there was always some emotional wall there as a defense mechanism, preventing any true feelings of intimacy which is why he is always just passively vibing around his loved ones; they all believe he is happy, but deep down, he believes that he is going to lose them sooner or later and that fear is slowly gnawing at him from the inside as he keeps trudging along with a smile on his face. And the Happy/Revenge ending branch revolves around him either confronting those feelings to overcome his character flaw, or simply recognizing and accepting that his heart was correct to be so cynical about them and having that just break something within him for his last minute heel-turn.
... and now I'm just writing full-on fanfiction at this point, but I guess this is what happens to my brain after an 8 week dry spell.
Adding a third PoV on top of the two others for HC3 would indeed be pretty much unfeasible at this point I'm afraid^^Question for N_taii, apologies if this has been asked before. Are there any plans to do more with the POV options in future updates for HC3, or future projects beyond HC3? I ask since I think the partial POV thing is great, but I would love to see something that was as close to true POV as you can get. Though I can only imagine implementing full POV at this point in HC3's development would present too many issues to be worth it.

I think it would skip over absolutely everything the MC doesn't see or hear, even story-events and freeroams. Moans through doors too I guess. How would a true pov even work?
Yeah, that's not really possible. Showing only what an MC sees would lead to a story that makes no sense. To make such a thing work you still kind of have to act on third person omniscient rules, but you have to limit what the player sees. So, they wouldn't see free roams or sex scenes because that's kind of the point of a "True" POV. We'd still see cutscenes in which story important details happen, so the duke and his conspiracy scheming, or them finding the statue lost at the start of the game, or the duke and Rose discussing something story important before they have sex. You still need to tell the player the story you just have to cut the "private" content out. This kind of PoV should make the player suspicious of what the women are up to with their NTR partners without having seen the full details.I think it would skip over absolutely everything the MC doesn't see or hear, even story-events and freeroams. Yeah that's all fair. I will say even the partial POV as it exists in HC3 cued me in to how much I enjoy that stuff, like the overworld animations/scenes through windows is great. Did have a funny thought that a "total POV" based game (with no option for full POV) would save the dev a lot of effort on animation/art etc. That would be my dream NTR game right now. Not sure if there's anything like that out there. Don't know how many people into NTR dig the "not seeing things" or "not knowing for certain" aspects of the kink, but I'm also a person who hates the ugly bastard trope, so I could be a bit of an outlier in my tastes.Adding a third PoV on top of the two others for HC3 would indeed be pretty much unfeasible at this point I'm afraid^^
As for having a True PoV for upcoming games, I'm really not sure, honestly. It's more work on top of everything else, and I'm not sure how many people would find it really important to have a true PoV that would end up skipping a lot of important stuff story-wise if it remains solely fixated on the MC.
I'd enjoy it, it'd be a game where you only see Leto rise the ranks and have drama with the people close to him, and then the big reveal at the endYeah, that's not really possible. So in terms of free roams you no longer show the ones we technically can't see. No more talking to people with hearts over their head to see a flashback, no more walking down a hallway and finding a pair of rogue panties that a maid snatches away to bring back to the duke for a scene with her and Rose, no more walking down the street at the docks to see Cyanna and Ulrod fucking behind a building. Instead we see shaded figures behind curtains, hear moaning and groaning behind closed doors, but do we see the top of Rose's head when she's giving the duke head while he looks out a second story window? No. Do we see Ulrod and Cyanna fucking down a dark alleyway? No, we see their shadowed out figures and hear the moans.
A "true MC PoV" should still tell us the story but limit the sexual content to what we can actually see. This is really the only way to make such a thing work without forcing the MC to be present for a lot of stuff they shouldn't be there for.
I mean, I'd be interested to see a story like that. It would necessitate a certain amount of upgrading Leto's presentation. In a game where we literally only see the world fall apart from the viewpoint of the main character I don't think you'd be able to get away with a mute MC. He would have to be an engaging enough character for you to feel bad for him when his world begins to come crashing down. He would also have to be present for more of the things that happen for two reasons. First, if he's completely out to lunch of what is happening to the kingdom and to his friends, mom, and girlfriend he'd be hard to root for. Second, the background events that we aren't seeing would still have to be scripted out and revealed to us later, but we should still be able to hear them happening. There'd have to be a pretty significant amount of moans and groans muffled by closed doors. A lot of hints would have to be dropped or else it might get boring pretty fast.I'd enjoy it, it'd be a game where you only see Leto rise the ranks and have drama with the people close to him, and then the big reveal at the end
I feel like it'd be easier to put out a MC POV mode once the game is complete. I think this for two reasons. First, it would probably be extremely difficult to get a lot of patreon support if there's no sexual content in the game until a certain point where everything falls apart for the MC. If we go by HC1 and 2 that's pretty late in the game, typically not until the final act climax to set up the ending. No sex until 90% of the way through the game would be a hard pill for a lot of supporters to swallow. It would probably have to be a passion project that you sell after completion not one that you crowd fund monthly subs to. Second, it would probably be easier to work backwards with such a strictly focused POV. So you'd either have to complete the omniscient POV first, or you'd have to front load all of your creative effort resulting in a fully written story and a fully designed game.I definitely would love a full-character POV option, even if I miss out on story elements. For me, full immersion into netorare is a massive appeal and like the other poster, is why this series caught my interest in the first place with the partial-POV focus. People are saying it won't make sense, but as long as a warning is put into the game that the story might feel disjointed, then I don't think that's an issue.
Anyways, it's entirely possible to have the story beats discovered by the main character separately from the girl's corruption, and it might even make the next game better written? Being forced to write a compelling story where the strings are being pulled truly behind the player's back until it starts getting revealed would be a masterful move.
