I would hope it's not a rehash of the lake scenes from HC2 as for me those were a low point in the game. There was no real impact to the creampie, it just happened and they instantly moved on from it, and the following scene where Noah literally sits on a chair near his mother having sex and fails to notice stretches my ability to suspend my disbelief. I'm hoping that Leto's presence in update 17 ratchets up the corruption but that N_Taii doesn't fall back on what seems to be his enjoyment of having a character somehow not notice sex happening literally three feet away. He did it during the camping scene in HC1 and again in HC2, I expect better of him with HC3.

I would have a similar opinion, although I should say that in HC1 they later give an argument for why the guy doesn't realize they're fucking three feet away from him, with the demon casting a confusion spell on him, that gave at least a valid argument for HC1, as for HC2 it was Noa who is unjustifiable XD, they literally fuck his mother next to him and he doesn't even flinch, they fuck the chick he likes right in front of him and he doesn't even flinch, and one would assume that he already knows what the sounds of a woman having sex are like from the scene where Noa, Celis and Solana see Merith's mother fucking the soldiers at the beginning of the game.

I would say that Leto would be in the same position as Noa, because Leto has already seen several people having sex, so it is impossible for the man to even find out what the sounds of a woman are like when she is fucking XD, although we already reached that point with Cyana since she and Brutus have sex in Cyana's apartment right next to Leto and her moans of pleasure can be heard, of course the man will think that fight is somewhere else and not in his sister's apartment XD.

I'm not saying that the sex scenes were bad, what I'm saying is that it's unbearable that they make a character seem so immensely stupid, that there are two people right next to him or right in front of him and it's like nothing is happening for that person, that's why I made my clarification that at least in HC1 they directed the argument with the confusion spell, but in HC2 nothing, not even the slightest excuse to pass it off as a credible justification, I mean if they're going to make the main women have sex next to or right in front of the main character, I don't know what to say, that it was because they drugged him, or something they did to numb his senses, like the foursome in HC2 where they tie Noa up and put him behind the glass.

But if you're going to have the main girls have sex right in front of him, at least give a plausible and believable situation as to why he doesn't notice, or that he can't do anything to prevent it even though it's happening right in front of him, but not with the argument that he doesn't notice because he's too stupid to notice.

The duke bending Rose over doggy style behind a rock while she can see him through a crack in the wall would be great, but I'd rather he not literally walk in on them doing it on a beach chair because he's not been presented as stupid enough not to recognize sex when he sees it.

I just have one question, will that ancient entity that appears before the characters in the series as a cat also appear in this volume of the saga?

I mean at the beginning when Leto was a child, a cat appears in front of him and guides him to the room where the crystal was stored, before the ship exploded, but I have doubts about whether it is the same one that I see in 1 and 2 or if it is a different entity.

Personally I'm kind of hoping for it to be just an absolutely ridiculous cameo. Like we're minding our own business and we come across two characters from HC1 or 2 fucking behind a dumpster.

It's been a while since I've played HC2 and Noa certainly wasn't the brightest bulb, but how I interpreted those scenes was that Noa had been beaten down so far psychologically and emotionally that he had begun dissociating from what was going on around him. It wasn't just mere denial or that he was really that stupid, it was a trauma response from what he'd been through. As I recall the lake scenes were much further into the story arc than we are now, with Noa's memory and perceptions having been wrung through by the antagonists. For me that's darker than even having an actual demon wave a magic wand to make the protagonist confused. Leto on the other hand has waded perhaps waist-deep into the Egyptian River as far as the girls are concerned, so I don't think it's likely we'll see similar scenes.

Rose only has a couple of milestones to go on her corruption journey. Creampies and anal sex are the two remaining big ones that are actual sex acts. I suspect we'll be seeing on of those two acts performed in update 17. I could see her getting creampied because Leto's presence requires her sessions with the duke to be a little more impromptu so they wind up having unprotected sex and by the end of the update she just takes her first creampie because they don't have a condom and she doesn't want the duke to jizz on her because Leto is around. Any sex in the presence of multiple women from the main cast will require the story to push to the point of no return...

Just as an aside, and I like the steady "slow-burn" NTR too, do we really need to insist on a rigid set of corruption milestones for the heroines to pass during the story? It may not suit the characters or the circumstances, it ties the creator's hands, leaves nothing to surprise and nothing else to anticipate. I know it's convention for these games now, but I can't help but think it's just in order to create a neatly organised scene gallery for those that aren't going to play through the game anyway. Galleries are an adjunct in my opinion, they should serve the game, and not the other way around.

Proof of Life #236: Resuming the Main Quest once again

Hey hey hey, you... people. How's it going in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Well, whatever it is, I've got a PoL for you, and I hope you'll find it informative if nothing else ; )

So, as expected, progress has been slightly slower than usual, what's with the preparations to move continents and all. Lots of cancellations (water, electricity, and stuff), packing, deciding what to keep and what to throw away, etc... I've also been spending some time on the Steam release, which is looking closer and closer (granted Steam accepts the game and doesn't just outright ban it for some reason). I just need a few more assets for the store page and I want to slightly rework the prologue (the part where they're on the boat).

Still, I've worked on the game every single day so far, but a lot of it has been spent making maps and even more commissioning assets and animations for the first scene of the game, which will involve both Rose and Cyanna at the same time (but not in the same place). Due to the nature of this update and Leto being away from the city, the scenes might feel a bit detached from the main plot, but I'll do my best to make them as appealing as possible nevertheless.

I also want to add some action with the natives, After all, Jazon's got to be useful for something, right? It won't be with any of the major characters (unless you really want to see the native grandma getting some action), but it might set in motion some of the events to take place in future updates ; )

Proof of Life #237: The Hero is on a journey and left his fair maiden behind

Hello guys, gals, and everyone in-between, how is your morning/afternoon/evening going? I hope it's going well! For me, things are a bit stressful because it's my last evening in Japan and I got to make sure everything's taken care of before I leave.

That means progress is still being slightly slower than usual, although I've still been working on the game everyday. It's a bit harder to give it your all when you've got a thousand things going through your mind though.

This past week, I've finished the first scene, tested it fully, progressed the story, and made a bunch of maps needed for the next part of the main story. I've also sent out a bunch of commission and received a bunch of custom sprites.

I'm thinking about adding access to the reminiscence room even when the MC's away from the city so people can rewatch the scenes if they want during this segment of the story. I'd just need to tweak a few things to make it work, but it shouldn't be too complicated hopefully.

That's it for this PoL. Progress will probably remain slower over the next week due to actually moving back to my home country and all the things I'll have to do once I'm back. I'll see you next week for the next Monday PoL!

Proof of Life #238: The plot thickens. It's so very thick, you wouldn't believe it.

Hello to you, fair people of the land called Earth, how are you faring in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Well, I dare hope? Whatever it might be, fear not, for I have come with another Monday PoL!

So, I am finally back to Europe. As expected, the moving process did take a lot of time and energy out of me, so my working schedule remains out of whack. I had to take two days off last week, one to prepare before my flight, and one to recuperate after a 24 hours trip during which I got about an hour of sleep. Being tall in a plane is a curse.

I'm currently still searching for an appartment and crashing at my mother's place for the time being, meaning my working schedule will remain unsteady until I've finally settled down (jetlag ain't helping either). I still work on the game every day though, mind you, and made decent progress so far.

For now, I've mostly spent my time writing the story. There will be a fair amount of dialogue and narration, as you might expect from a major story update. I've been thinking of different way to incorporate spicy scenes in the meanwhile. I've got an interesting one in mind which I'll start working on very soon. Will it be hot or not, we'll see!

I've also sent a bunch of commissions for custom story-related assets, and also a new narrative illustration (not a character portrait).

I appreciate the patience, and I apologize that this update might take more time to come out than usual! I'll see you next week for more HC3-related news ; )

Proof of Life #239: Change of plans (but you won't notice it)

Hello gentlemen and gentleladies reading this, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? I'm sorry this PoL is late, my working schedule is all over the place lately, and I completely forgot I was supposed to write a PoL. Also, I spent over an hour playtesting part of the update so I could finally find a suitable image for this week's PoL that wouldn't be an outright spoiler.

So, I've been having a good week's work since last Monday. I'm still not 100% back, but I'm 90% there. As always, I commissioned some stuff, and wrote a whole lot of dialogue. I'm almost done with the second scene of this update, although it is closer to a bunch of smaller scenes with the same characters and some story narration in-between, so it's taking a bit longer. Fear not, the reminiscence room version will cut all the story narration so only the spicy stuff remains for your viewing pleasure.

To adress the title, I've had a slight change of plans for how the update will shape up, although it won't affect players since they've never been told what the initial plan was. This update will have an important narrative segment at some point, and I originally wanted to make it rather short, with a bunch of images back to back and a bunch of text over it. However, I realized over the past week that it was too too important to not spend more time on it, and I started to add small scenes here and there, got more and more ideas, and before I realized it it turned into an entire story segment in itself that will take like half the update. I even came up with two interesting scenes I could squeeze in there, one of them involving Rose.

Anyway, this must sound rather confusing to you, but I can't reveal more or it'll spoil a lot of things. I just hope, as always, that you'll enjoy what Ihave in store for you for the next update. I'll see you again in a week ; )

Proof of Life #240: Blurry picture, but you get the idea

Heya earthen people, how's it going in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? If it's not going well, I hope this picture of a half human body in underwear will cheer you up. I mean, what's more sexy than half a half-nude human body? A full half-nude human body?

By the way, I did good progress so far, and I'm almost done with the narration segment, which has been thoroughly up until where I'm developing right now. It's a segment I still can't talk about a lot due to possible spoilers, but I'm quite happy with it so far.

Right now, I have a bunch of scenes left, three in total. There's the one I'm doing right now, then another one with Rose, then the extra scene, and then I should be done with this update. I want it to end when Leto comes back to the city so I can add a few freeroam events and maybe an extra Triple Trident opponent. The second Rose scene will involve the picture above, which I'm sure a lot of people are excited about ; )

Also, I've just finished a new commission draft to send to the full portraits' artist so he can draw new variations. At this point, this might be the last variation for Rose and Cyanna before they switch to an entirely different outfit, because I'm slowly running out of fabric to remove^^ I haven't sent the commission yet, but I'll do it later today. With a bit of luck, they might be finished before I manage to release the update, but I wouldn't count on it too much. It'll depend on how busy the artist is.

Proof of Life #241: Precisions about the current update and the future update

Hello, hello, hello, you... person reading this! I hope all's going well in this fine morning/afternoon/evening! If not, I pray you're at least in good enough condition that you can read this random PoL ; )

Another week, another portion of development done! I finished the story segment of this update, and I even tested everything. So far, I have three scenes done and added to the reminiscence room. It might not sound like much, but they were pretty complicated to develop, and rather long.

Now, what's left is one last scene with Rose (this one will also be somewhat long), the extra scene, and the freeroams to add afterwards. Then, I can release the new update, finally.

There are a few things I need to adress in this PoL. First of all, I want to say that Update 16 will put a bigger emphasis on story, and the spicy scenes are mostly meant to accompany that. That'll mean there won't be any huge progression in the corruption, although that isn't to say that the scenes will be boring or unoriginal. I just wanted to mention that because I feared people might have too huge expectations after seeing the last PoL's image. Also, this image isn't the only one of its kind that'll make it into the new update. Just saying.

In this regard, I also want the next update to be about the main quest, but put a bit more emphasis on the spicy parts rather than story. This time If we were talking about an anime or a series, it'd be a filler episode, like the lake episode in HC2 (for those who remember). It'd be nice to have something a bit more light-hearted after Update 16 (as light-hearted as NTR can be).

Proof of Life #242: Some more Rose, and no ETA yet but soon, I promise!

Some might feel intrigued by this PoL’s image, while it might rub others the wrong way. It is just a small part of the new scene. The rest is either with the Duke or Rose alone.

Heya everynyan, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? This PoL is coming a bit late, but I hope it’ll be a good read.

I’ve had a relatively good week of work, at least for the first half. I’m currently in the process and moving into a new apartment and nothing seems to be going right, so I’ve been very busy with taking care of things. Last Friday I’ve spent 3 hours and a half on the phone trying to get a new phone number and my internet working. The reason why today’s PoL is coming out a lot later than usual is because I’ve been away all day buying stuff for the apartment, setting it up, etc… so I have had very little time to work on the game.

I’ve just finished Rose’s last scene. That was quite a sizeable scene, with like around 3 smaller scenes crammed into one, so more like a whole event than a scene. I think it turned out pretty well. I even managed to get a few new spicy animations never seen before in there. I still need to test it though.

I hoped I could get a new full-body portraits for Rose and Cyanna for this update, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be possible. I think the artist is either too busy or he’s sick. Anyway, he told me it’d take time before he could get to it.

For now, all that’s left is testing Rose’s scene, add the last extra scene, the freeroams, and I’ll be good to go. I can’t give a proper ETA because I haven’t decided the contents of the extra scene, and I’m still busy with moving and all, but I want to have a proper ETA somewhere within the upcoming week, either by making a special post, or in the next PoL.

Once again, I want to apologize for the time it’s taking. It should go faster once I’ve settled down into my new place and I can finally return to a normal working schedule. Thanks guys for the support, much appreciated. I’ll see you next week!

Proof of Life #243: Last PoL before the next update!

Hello, hello people, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Good? That's awesome! Bad? I hope to provide some distraction with this PoL, as well as something to look forward to!

So, you've seen the title, you know what I'm going to say. The main content of the update is done and (almost) fully tested, save for part of the last extra scene. There's still a bunch of things left to do: add the scenes to the reminiscence room, update the walkthrough, add the freeroams (3 in total, 2 for Cyanna and 1 for Rose because Cyanna is far behind in amount of freeroams) and a new triple trident opponent, among other things, but I'm fairly confident I'll have it all done by the end of the week.

There's just one issue: I'm fairly behind on commissions. One artist, who's been my main artist so far, has been piling up delays after delays lately, and I haven't heard anything from him since I gave him a small commission he told me he'd finish by Tuesday last week. As you can expect, that kind of threw a wrench in my plans and schedule. I've tried to rely on two other artists to help me fill in the gaps, but they've also got their own schedule. Hopefully, they'll manage to finish all the custom sprites I still need for this update by the weekend.

I'm also pretty certain there won't be new full-size portraits in this update. I'm having a hard time getting the artist to answer my emails, let alone give me a rough ETA on the portraits' completion. All I know is he can't work on it right now. As much as I love his art, I'm contemplating hiring someone else for the next games, because working with reliable people is paramount in this line of work. I can tolerate delays, we're all humans, but being kept in the dark or outright ignored is something I have a hard time dealing with.

Anyway, you're not here to hear my rant. I just wanted to give you an update on the state of things and how uncertain things still were for update 16.

You might also be wondering what's the illustration for this PoL. To keep it spoiler-free, this one is directly associated with the story part of the update. Pretty heavy stuff. Someone's past.

Anyway, sorry for the bitter-sweet PoL. Some good news, some bad, that's how life goes. I hope (I really do) to see you again before the next PoL for the actual release of Update 16!

Proof of Life #244: Early PoL + Update available for Grunt tier (5$) Patrons!

Hello everyone, how is it going in this fine morning/afternoon/evening?

I'm writing this PoL early because in a few hours I'll be in a plane headed for another continent. My father is taking a week's vacation to celebrate his retirement and is taking me along for the ride. I should have access to Wifi over there, which means I could technically post the PoL on Monday, but I don't wanna risk it and have you guys worry if I don't post anything.

It's going to be a chill vacation by the beach, which means that I should have plenty of time to work on the game as usual. I'm not much of a swimmer anyway. I've had a stroke of bad luck this morning as my main laptop's charger kind of fried and was rendered useless, which means I'll have to take my backup laptop on vacation, a very crappy one, the kind that freezes for a few seconds whenever I try to open a new tab on Google or switch a YT video to full screen. It'll do though, at least until next week. Better than nothing.

As for the update, I've been working on it all week. As per popular demand, I've decided to add Haylen and Lily to this beach update, which means I'll need to have bigger maps. Mapping is what I intend to do while I'm away. Lily and Haylen will mainly have freeroams for this update though (if you have gone far enough in their storylines), because I want the focus to remain on Rose and Cyanna.

As far as I can tell, this update is shaping up to be quite the workload. Don't be alarmed if I'm not very active anywhere until next Monday, because with the laptop I have right now, doing anything on it is a pain in the A, so I'll probably focus on development with a few YT videos in the background.
