Probably not for at least another six weeks. Updates have started taking longer due to a mix of greater ambition and unreliable commission artists.

Hm. Finished update 17 and while I liked pieces of it I found most of the update kind of boring. The maps were tiny and the update felt extremely rail roaded since there wasn't much to see and you could really only go in the direction the story wanted you to. The background stuff for Lily and Haylen felt like a massive waste of time and resources due to how inconsequential it was, and while I realize that this was unavoidable due to the nature of their content being optional it still felt largely pointless. The revelation of Cyanna stumbling across Rose and the duke having sex was shocking and unexpected, but it still rang hollow due to the rest of the update and because of how little the story feels like it has developed. Even the emasculation of Leto that took place a few times in the update felt at least a few updates late. Unfortunately I think update 17 might have killed my interest, I found it boring enough that I cancelled my sub. It's been a stretch of what I would refer to as subpar updates and 17 was the last straw.

While I deeply appreciate the support and feedback you've given thus far, I think that might be for the best. You know, I always listen to what people have to say, be it good or bad, and try to let it shape my game as much as I can. It's the same for you. For the past few months, I've read your messages complaining about this and that, and while it always hurts a little that people don't like something, I either take it upon myself to change it if I can, or if it's art related, I let the artists know.

But for the last few months, I'm not sure if you've realized, but all of your comments about the updates have been entirely negative. I don't think there was a single word of praise at all, and you interact a lot in this thread. I understand, it's in the nature of things. People pick up on things that irks them a lot more easily. It's the same for me. But when it's constant, it feels like a nail being slowly hammered into you, like you're not good enough, because I care about people's opinions a lot more than their money.

I believe it might not only be about the updates being subpar, but about you losing interest. You probably don't remember, but the last update you actually said you liked was the party at the Duke's manor, which was in essence pretty similar to the current one. Small maps. Railroaded. Drama. So I thought maybe you'd like this one, but apparently it wasn't enough. Hell, I even added Lily and Haylen in this update because you asked for it and because people backed that request, which meant I had to change the entire update's story, add a ton of maps to fit it, add a lot of variations based on whether people had completed their content or not, and take a whopping two months to finish the update, only for the maps being called "too small", and Lily and Haylen's content to be called "inconsequential" and a "waste of resources"? What else can I do but throw my hands up in defeat at this point?

Anyway, sorry for the rant. I hope I don't sound too dramatic. I thank you for the time you've spent here and your feedback, albeit negative, that has helped shape the game into a better version of itself, and sincerely hope you find what you're looking for on this site.

PS: I let the artist know about the "pig feet". Hopefully he'll do better from now on.

I personally liked the update, but at the same time I didn't like it, I think it's because of the same thing you say.

I guess N_taii is trying to rush things a bit to finish the game as soon as possible and maybe that's why some things feel a bit forced, I think I would have preferred a bit slower progress for this update, although well, N_taii warned that update 17 was filler so we can't say it's his fault either.

I personally will continue to support it, maybe until the next update or update 19 and then I will come back to the game once it is complete.

I can assure you "rushing" anything isn't and will never be on my mind. If it had, it wouldn't take 25 hours of gameplay for a creampie^^ Maybe I'm just afraid people will get bored so I try to cram more "interesting" things together? I'm not sure.

N_taii any chance of real Mom and Sis NTR in the next game?

With how much of a pain Patreon has been with this kind of things, I'd rather not take my chances. Even Haylen and Cyanna, even though they're adopted, are off-limits to Leto according to the site's rules.

I've always thought that a person needs to be borderline psychopathic to do this job. A creative work where you're the sole person working on it is like putting your soul on display for all to see and comment on. In a bigger work environment like a AAA game, if one person's work is cause for people to comment negatively on it, that person might not even see those comments cause all they really need to do is submit their work and collect their pay, and if it's bad enough that their boss reprimands them for it, they'll probably do it really gently since that's just how office culture is. But when you're self employed and having to directly read harsh criticism all the time about your work that is again, basically your soul on display, I would imagine that it really feels like a constant barrage of needles through the heart.

I've been a member of this site for about 5 years at this point, but I never bothered to use or check out the forum function much outside of Takeda's current game thread until recently. As such this'd be my first comment. I played through HC3 in it's entirety before even interacting with the forum side of things, so it was quite a surprise to actually see the developer actively in the thread responding to the most menial of criticism. Sometimes it feels like anything less than perfection from people's very subjective tastes are a very sore spot for many F95 users in threads where they know the developer is actually there to read it. I've noticed it not just here but in others as well. I think it's natural to not just consume everything for a project of monetary gain; especially one you support yourself with hard earned cash, but it's as if people want to shape a game into their ideal without creating anything of their own. Game creation of this level can't be easy as it's easily one of the series in the upper echelon of the site just from what I've experienced, so I'm rather accepting of the flaws that come with it so far. By nature of the thread some of my fun with the game is undoubtedly a mix of N_taii listening to such comments in the thread itself, but at the end of the day the people here aren't writing the game, he is. This is a vague ramble of praise to juxtapose the wave of comments I tend to see in these type of threads, but I must admit I don't particularly follow this one religiously, maybe I just opened it at a bad time. The fact that this comment ended up so long is why I don't write them to begin with.

Funnily enough, I'm surprised to hear that incest rule despite being on here for years, didn't know the site took it that far actually. If someone can care to explain, what reason does a site of this type focusing entirely on porn have in being that prickly?

It's Patreon that doesn't allow it, not f95. As for why, payment processors will pull their services if they're being used for certain kinds of content.

Really? Wow, I guess I spoke too soon... I genuinely thought that NTR would be way too context-specific for Patreon to lump it into that category, but I guess it's reasonable to play it extra safe.

Honestly, after spending some time in the "developers only" part of this website, I've realized how blessed I am with this thread. There's a good deal of criticism, and that's normal. We humans see positive aspects as normal, so we don't feel the need to mention them quite as much as the bad aspects that worry us add thus retain most of our attention. That's why, in this day and age, we see everything has "having gone to shit", although the statistics show the contrary. We're being bombarded with bad news from social media and the internet as a whole, and it deeply affects our psyche and how we see the world.

Back on topic, I know for a fact that a good deal of devs on here have their own F95 thread set to ignore due to the constant barrage of criticism due to decisions related to game design among others. Putting my own thread on "ignore" has never crossed my mind, because everyone here is super respectful and tries to present their criticism in a constructive manner. Seriously, everyone here is pretty damn mature, setting aside the petty squabbles I sometimes see between users, but those never last long. I've had a few people with the usual "cuck" insults or wishing you to die, but those don't bother me in the least, because it comes with the NTR genre, it's just mindless hate without substance, and they're really few and far in-between. In comparison, people saying they're disappointed hurts a lot more, because it somehow feels like I've betrayed their trust, although unwillingly.

F95 is pretty much okay with everything as long as it's not downright CP or borderline CP. Patreon, on the other hand (and especially Paypal), are an entirely different beast. Because nothing screams "morals" like scamming their users through Honey I guess^^ Joking, I know it's not about morals but about brand protection and not wanting to get associated with anything controversial.

Or is it more a case of simply leaving it alone and not wanting to repeatedly push your luck?

I mean, it's a dream, so nothing really happens. I guess we're in the clear. But I'd rather not speak about it too much. I know for a fact that the Patreon team is doing some overtime scouring the F95 forums to look for potential incriminating proofs of anything before they ban you. I personally think I haven't broken any rules though, but you never know.

Because the endings depend on the choices that have been made during the story, if the same number of green, blue and red choices have been made, the logical thing would be to have a neutral ending, right?

and I also think that if it were to come to the case that there would be no endings where we have Leto-Cyanna-Haylen content, then it would have been a total waste of plot to have established the fact that at the beginning both felt romantic attraction towards Leto, in that case it would have been better if their initial feeling towards Leto had been more family love and not romantic attraction, just like the relationship between Noa and his mother in HC2 even if she had not been his biological mother.

I must say that the game really is my favorite RPG where the sex scenes are purely pixel art, and even though there are things that I don't like, I try to say them in a constructive way, because the truth is I don't like the feeling that you get from having done something that you really enjoy and that others can enjoy what you do, and that you only receive destructive comments and little empathy with your work, and by the way, I apologize if at any time I sounded too harsh with anything I said.
