Why so defensive about an opinion? Of course, Her Desire has always been this way, but it is increasingly following the logic of porn movies plot, with there in no logic. Just like: let's fuck? Choices: yes and no. Some people like this kind of AVN, and of course, there is the blue balls AVN with excessive plot like AWAM that is purely annoying. I like balance. Plot and sex.

The problem isn't with the opinion of "I don't like easy fuckfest games with no plot", it's the fact that their opinion of "I don't like this" is based on them thinking it wasn't always like this when it was and acting as if the game is different now. They literally said, "increasingly becoming a compilation of scenes without any story or meaning", as if it started with a deep meaningful plot and now it doesn't have one but there never was a deep plot to begin with, it was always just "horny people have sex". They seem to be more annoyed at something that simply isn't true.

Man, if I wanted to see only scenes, I would go to a porn site, which is where there are the most of them. This type of game has to have at least a little bit of story to keep you interested. For me, the story is the main thing in a game and the scenes are there just to complete it. Want an example? Take the most famous games on the site, the ones with the highest ratings, Being a Dick, Summer Gonne, for example. All of these have great stories where the scenes are just complements to scenes, and many have an impact on the story. A good game is much more than a simple compilation of scenes.

I've played so many AVNs with serious stories, I've played AVNs without serious stories, and sometimes it's nice to have some of the latter when you've played a lot of the former. Simple, easy gratification is no bad thing at times. At least this one isn't too overly gratuitous or stupid or extreme with how it does it. Some fuckfest games go really wild with it to the point of being cartoonish and the characters are often not worth really remembering or caring about. With this one though, I find the sex and indeed a lot of the character interactions to be much more thoughtful and well-written. They might just be a "compilation of scenes" but they're good scenes with good dialogue, good build-up, good execution, and you actually feel an excitement with them. They're much more on a level of "erotic novel" writing than your typical AVN fuckfest, and even if there isn't a major narrative playing out with them, it's still just nice (imo) to have something simple that also has good eroticism to it.

What Rank Typer is essentially saying is they want ALL stories to be the same. But that's not what they really want; they want control. Many here are from a generation that feels they've lost control over their future. It's a sad situation for sure. But it's the inevitable march of progress.

The first part answers the second part there - it's always been this way, it's not increasingly following any route, it's following the same route it started out following.

This isn't the same sort of game as those you compare it to though, it's not trying to be like them either. Not every game needs conflict, mystery, shocks and surprises, etc. This game, for me, is more what I'd call "slice of life", just with the level of sexiness turned right up. The story is in the relationships as Amber develops a closeness to (choices depending) her son, daughter, best friend, and others. The scenes are what drives that, and we don't need a missing person, or a drugs or prostitution ring sideplot to advance those relationships. Of course there are odd little things here and there (like the potential teacher blackmailing in order to help Chloe get her school recommendation), but mostly, the story is the breaking of barriers and the progression of those relationships, most of which is naturally told through sex scenes.

Only the games that are memorable (which can be for good reasons or bad!). I don't always get them right though, sometimes I'll misremember, or will mix two similar games.

This one though, has a lot of memorable moments for me, so I'm pretty good with it.

I don't like blackmail in general in these games, and I didn't like it here, so I turned it down... until I found out that Chloe might get brought in for a scene in the future, so I had to add that path in to my save. I probably remember it more clearly because of that

With how this VN has progressed, I'm sure when it gets to that point, we will be able to stop him from messing with chloe.
The dev has always given us a lot of freedom to choose who gets involved with whom in the family.

Dude, what you said there doesn't even make sense, besides that, you didn't give any valid argument, you contradict yourself in your own comment when you talk about the lack of control, even though that's what the game has, the player can choose the route he wants, and yes, there was never a great story, it was more about scenes, but I expected that as the story progressed, this would change, new plots would be added to the story, new challenges for the character, but not with 3 seasons, always the same things without presenting anything new except scenes, well, as I said and ending here, for me the most important thing in a game is the story, scenes and just a bonus since it's for the story that you watch a movie, read a book or watch a series, my point is the story and character development need to be the center of any work, after all, great literary and cinematographic productions are made of very good stories.

I'm not protective of Chloe in that way, I'm more looking for the progression of the relationship, so ultimately I'll see where the scene goes once I get there. I know the handyman won't be touching Chloe, for instance, because there's no story reason there, so there's no benefit to involving her if the option comes up (I'll be surprised if it does, because it would be an odd first to present Chloe with, but we'll see what happens in the next update, I guess).

Well said. Couldn't agree more. I've done a hetero-only run thru, a lesbian-only run thru, and an everything-goes run thru, and Amber is always the captain of her own ship, and it is glorious to see.

There might be something missing in translation here, but I have no idea what you're asking.

My mistake. What I mean is, I don't see Chloe and Sara's scenes from the latest update. It just jumps to scenes with new characters. The scene with Parker and Vera doesn't even appear.

You must have been missing variables from previous choices then.

So for the Parker phonecall with Vera, there were a couple of choices in S2Ch10 - Vera comments on Parker's dick, and you need to tell her that you (Amber) have seen it. Then Vera asks if Amber would mind her fooling around with Parker, you need to answer "I'm not opposed to it. As long as I'm included." In the latest update, if you have the "ParkerVeraMCPath" flag set from those choices, it will play the phonecall where the three tease each other.

Chloe doesn't have a scene in this update, unless I'm forgetting something...

For Sara, again it's a simple path check - if you're on the Sara path, it will automatically play the scene. Her path was started some time ago, maybe back at the end of Season 1.

Okay, so, I just noticed and looked at it... what happened to Parkers dick Wack Daddy ? The new Scene in this Season and the last scene in the 2nd season, before that it had a proper head, some veins ect, now it just a smooth puppet-dick?
I know those are relatively prevalent in other games and some guys in Her Desire had them before that, but you did have a better dick for him all the time and downgraded him instead of upgrading the others to his standard?
