Is there sound in this game?
Yes it was something that was added later in the game though. I think I started it on either chapter 6 or 7.
Careful though Make sure you turn it DOWN first because when I was making the sex noises/audio files. I had no idea what I was doing, so I had my PCs audio at like 10% but then boosted the gain for Audacity. So the audio is LOUD.

I like this set up, the only downside is for the story I actually need Ice. As it is used as a separate element in the MT LNs. Well I guess that is in the anime now too lol. But if I removed it what would I have as the 6th Mainline element? Just only rock 5?

Ok just a side note thing here... Am I the only one that constantly rocks out to these 2000's Rock Hit Mix videos on the daily while working? I forgot how much I used to like My Chemical Romance when I was a teenager. Damn just realized that was a long time ago lol.
Pretty sure ice spells are technically in the water element. 90% sure narrator Rudeus made some reference to how one of his ice spells is a water spell. The Mushoku Tensei wiki also has the ice spells listed as water element. Not to mention Roxy is pretty much always using ice spells in combat even though she's primarily a water mage.
The main reason I'm suggesting 5 main elements though is because most other games use a 5 or less primary element system like that to keep it from getting too complex. I literally just stole that elemental weakness order from Goddess of Victory Nikke.

Fair point. But yea it won't take long for me to swap the code to a 5 element system instead of 6.
And since I just committed to adding 20 new skills per element tomorrow. That also makes it 20 less skills so yay lol.
The biggest Issue I am going to have is actually thinking of skills/spells as in the LN they really only use the same ones over and over again.

I wanted to make the sword users have an "Element" as well for their skills. But I mean the only thing that makes sense to me is if Sword God Style was Holy, North God Style was Chaos, and Water God Style as Water. But I was also thinking of like Steel for sword skills but then I couldnt think of a good spot to fit it in. Since I wanted like a circular system where everything is strong to one and weak to another in a loop. And I having enough issues just trying to fit Holy and Chaos in that circle so I was already adding it as a they are strong against each other. But then that didn't make sense for the Water God Style as water. As it wouldn't fit in with the group of the 3 sword users being weak to each other. Which is how it is in the LNs. But I also can't remember which beats which and I don't want to readthrough the LNs again to try to find it lol.
I'm pretty sure it was noted that Sword God is stronger than Water God, but Eris had to learn some North God techniques because that was the best matchup against Orsted as a Sword God Style user. Which would make the triangle Sword God Style>Water God Style>North God Style>Sword God Style.

And in terms of Magic in MT there are essentially only 4 main elements, but there are elemental combinations. Fire+Wind=Steam. Water+Wind=Ice. Earth+Fire=Rock, Water+Earth=Quagmire, so on and so forth. Which is why I was thinking about only doing the 4 elements, but having the 3 Sword Styles as their own little triangle too.

I also really want to look into assigning individual characters a Main Element, then somehow coding it so that you learn skills for whatever element you are following. Like full on having the system from MT recreated. The only downside I see with doing an exact copy is it kinda hinders the this is 2x dmg to that, and 0.5x dmg to this other one. As its really not so much 1 element is better than another, its more being able to combine them. Like when Rudeus created the Nuclear Bomb during Turning Point 2.

When I launch the game it loads the mini window but when it opens to the fullscreen/windowed game after that it just sits at a black screen? I have left it running for sometime but it never loads.

Yea its just a blank loading screen, I really need to get around to fixing that so it continues without the need to click... I was planning on putting a logo or something on that screen or one of those warning screens there, then people would know they need to click. Either that or just have it skip through like it does on my other game MH.

I didnt upload a non compressed version this time. the non compressed files are up to 10gb. This update by itself added 2.5gb of animations and renders alone. So trust me the lightly compressed is what you want lol. That version is only compressed to the point that there is no visual difference. I mean I dont see a difference on my 4 monitor anyways. Though if you want when I post the chapter 10 part 1 I can go back to posting the non compressed version as well. But that update brought it to 12gb.

Yea I use the same compression tool I have seen many of the users on this site use. You know the ones that like compress a game for people and post a link to it? They almost all use UAGC its a quick and easy tool that you just load your game into and adjust a couple of settings. If I have it right, which I'm like... 80% sure I do. You basically have a percentage based image and audio loss setting like its out of 100%, it also instantly changes all your .png files to webp files (Which are usually like 25% the size.) Then the last setting is called Constant Quality Mode. You put a number between 1 and 63 The higher the number the more compressed and "Crunchy" the images and videos look. Since I record in 4k, if I put the setting to 25 there is supposed to be 0 noticeable difference. But I still put it on 15 anyways. (Remember the lower the number the less compressed it it.)
So on the low compression I use 90% Audio, 90% Image and Video Quality, and a 15 on the CQ mode. And it takes it from 10gb down to around 3-4gb. most of the filesize difference is just the png to webp conversion. Then the high compression version I need to keep the file size total under 1gb so I can upload it to itch.io. So on that one YEA there is a noticeable drop. Which is why I only recommend that for smaller screens like mobile. on that I use 60% on audio and video and a 50 on the CQ mode.

Fun side note of info: If I didn't use that tool without telling people before hand, my "Alpha release" of Mushoku Harem was 8gb because the initial launch of it already had 1,200 animations. But since I compressed it first it was only 1.5gb? and people complained that was too big for an alpha and just assumed it was not compressed at all and had almost no content in it lol. But MH non-compressed on the v0.4 version I am working on now is at 14gb and that is only 1 region in the game when I am going to be adding 5 total... I am scared to think how big that game will be when its done since it already is approaching 3k animations already...

Which I will also be reusing that same gallery framework for Her Falls gallery when chapter 10 part 3 comes out. That way the gallery will be posted as soon as the game gets the completed tag. So if you want a sneak peak into the future of it make sure you check out the video later today...tonight...? bro idk I have been up and working non stop since 9am and its almost 1am now... well not NON stop. I did take a 20 minute coffee break at 11am, a smoke break at 7pm, and I took an hour dinner break from 9pm to 10pm but yea mostly all day non stop lol. I only have 1 more characters gallery to finish, and then get... a lot... of images...

I didn't even ask for an explanation, but you went out of your way to make sure I understood everything. You genuinely addressed every concern and question from members, creating such a positive and collaborative environment here. Wouldn't it be amazing if more devs followed your lead? Sadly, most tend to overlook about 40% of the comments and feedback, missing opportunities to truly engage and improve their vn (But I guess I shouldn't judge them like that, Maybe they don't have time to reply to each an every person questions and doubts)

Sorry for the late reply I was streaming my work on Mushoku Harem for the last 44 hours straight no sleep lol. I am gearing up for the next update on that game. During my sleepless coding spree, I learned how to create, and then created a the gallery for MH which I will be reusing my code for that on Her Fall when I add the gallery on this game.
Since that game has a full rpg battle system,
I added an entire new skill function mechanic for counter attacking, which was not a fun thing since it basically needed me to change how damage formulas work, and all of the monsters ai to take into account if the player is in a "Stance".
I also fixed 30-40 bugs that users pointed out that they found.
I removed the system I had to gaining new skills by leveling up.
I made 110 new skills.
I created screens and labels for the new way to learn skills which is going to be via tutors, and training in specific schools.
I added an entirely new system for combining elements and creating new skills, so players can experiment, and come up with their own personalized unique builds.
I added a new Skill Point system which is used as the currency to combine spells.
Created a max level based on region. So that you can get to know your builds and have time to experiment more.
Because of that I removed the max level of 120 and made it 25 for the starting region, which will be raised to 50 with players get to the second region which the next big update I am working on, which is why I am adding all of these features that will be more useful later.
Since I removed the skills via level up system and lowered the monsters levels in the first area, it essentially made it so, the only reason to level up is to get skill points. So I am tweaking the exp gain rate, trying to find a spot that players think its not too easy to level but not too much of a grind, as an rpg based game it should feel like it has some grind but you want to find the sweet spot you know? So for now I boosted it to 5x as much EXP per level as it was, mainly because there are 130 battles that should be completed in the first area, so I am aiming for an area that when you finish that last battle you should be around level 23-24 as I would think it kind of takes all the fun out it if your always sitting there waiting at max level right?

Generally the rule of thumb I like to follow is as soon as an update finishes, it goes to the 10-20$ patreons for 2 weeks, then to the 5$ tier for 1 week, then the 2$ supporters for 1 week, then to the free members for 2 days. Then I post it on here. Which sucks for me, honestly it sucks for me not because AHH NEED MONEY PAYWALL PAYWALL PAYWALL!! Its because literally my favorite time of an updates life cycle is when it gets posted here, because that is when I get the most amount of feed back and ideas from users, to know what they like, or what they dont like, so I know what I should be leaning more into and what I should be backing away from. Sorry the point of all of that story was the most recent MH update was 2 MONTHS AGO!!! I need my fix bro. I need my feedback fix lol. and to make it worse I was so caught up in making Her Falls most recent update Chapter 10 Part 1 that I completely forgot about lowering the Beta 2 update to the 5$ supporters and it has been 3 weeks now! So I came up with a plan. I am pulling a bunch of overtime trying to get to a good spot where I am happy with the changes that I think players will like it, and instead of making people wait for the next main update v0.4 I am moving away from the Beta and Alpha tags as I feel people were getting confused by what the newest update was... so this update will be the last one with an alpha/beta tag. See my original thought was if an update added more features and not much story progress I called it an Alpha Update, if it was more Story than features, I called it a Beta update. and if the number was a .5 release it was ONLY bugfixes. So since I feel like I failed my patrons by forgetting to lower the tier for them, I told them we are just skipping the Beta 2 release for the 5$ and lower tiers and free members. Instead I am going to finish this update. It will be 5$ and up for 1 week, then 2$ and up for 5 Days, then Free Members only for 2 Days, then It is getting posted here. So essentially I am apologizing with my wallet. Hopefully people wont be too mad about it.

Also sorry for rambling I should have went to sleep a few hours ago but I reached that stage of delirium where my eyes physically hurt but my brain wont stop lol. I just wanted to refresh my tabs to see if there was any messages I missed in my coding haze and saw I missed replying to you which made me feel bad, so I essentially gave you a play by play with what I have been up to since I messaged you last. 0.9.6 is already out here? 0.9.6 is Chapter 9 Part 3.
If you mean Chapter 10 Part 1, that will be in 2 weeks. As I alternate releases, the next release on here from me will be Mushoku Harem Beta 2.5. Which is currently released for the paid patrons, and will go to the Free Member patrons, on the 18th. I will then post it here on the 21st. I am trying something new to build up my own community, by releasing updates to Free Members 3 days before I release on here and itch.io

I have a hard disagree with the Devs idea of what is & is not NTR. At the very least the bare minimum of what closely defines what the devs idea of NTR is in this game is classified as a sub-category of the definition of "Netorase". Though even in my definition of all genres of NTR, the game itself looks fine I can deal with a difference of views to enjoy the game.

Looks like I'll be busy for a while considering how long this game & story is.

I only played first few minutes and I could tell which manga this was based on. I don't think the series is finished yet, at least it didn't felt finished. But there was no new sequels so I guess that's that.

Since it has choices I'll go ahead and play it nonetheless., since it has cuckquean and stuff.

Also, thanks the dev for clarifying the difference between cheating and NTR. I wish people would tag stuff properly. I hate NTR but like cheating.

The only difference between NTR (as I assume you're talking about Neto-rare) and what you like (cheating) is literally such a small difference that it's roughly defined the same, the only difference being is that the cucks love interest during "Netorare" is stolen from him/ her (and yes, the cuck can be either man or woman, hence "Cuck Queen" as a term or the "Cuck King" in certain circumstances if he's into cuckolding, another subcategory of "Netorare" I guess but for me that obliterates the purpose of what is defined as "Netorare", it is, however, best presented to be depicted from the cucks PoV.) Though Netorase is much closer to define what you seem to be interested in, which is best presented to be depicted from the Point of View (Pov) of the one doing the cheating on their significant other (i.e. from the cheating wifes PoV is defined as "Netorase", as she is the "Cuck Queen").

Though initially I agree with you, I understand that people hate NTR, I just find it a strange conflict if one says they like the cheating.

edit: Also, I think that what people just want in NTR because the reason they hate on it more so much, is probably because they just want the ability to "Get Revenge" or a "Happy Ending". Which isn't realistic even in real life. If your gf/ wife cheated on you and you just found out, things don't go so well even for you who just found out your wife/ gf was cheating on you, there's no real "Happy Ending" when things like that happen. Chances in real life are just that you break up or you continue to be manipulated meanwhile nothing really changes unless/ until you snap and take a life or finally choose to leave and try to forget/ move on. Or, just like in cuckolding you just enjoy it.

The only other thing for a reason why so many people hate on NTR so much is just because the cuck is depicted as unhappy, witless/ stupid/ gullible, and/ or just downright inadequate in the sack either because they're a One-Pump-Chump or they have a small peen and in almost all of those typical tropes, the one doing the stealing of the significant other is either depicted as a fat disgusting "Ugly Bastard" with a big D or a tall, fit lady-killer player with a big D.

You're right to find that strange. Well, the way I see it,

NTR: Sad cause it will 99% of the time end up in a break up (Since they got found out)
Cheating: The hubby doesn't find out so it's less sad.

It's very normal to hate NTR and cheating. Any decent individual will do so. But whenever I enter this site, my thoughts are managed by my crotch, so...
