It's quite dead. At least the dev has been honest and expressed that he's only tootling around, focused more on IRL shit.

Im alive and kicking around, but the main reason I stopped working on the project is because I realised I genuinely hated working with AI images. I felt like a total fraud and it was quite depressing. I'm now working on my art since I do also really like art and Im making a new game, much smaller in scope and scale and with my own art. Its not as big or ambitious since I realised I bit off more than I could chew. My art might not be as good or technically impressive as what I could do with AI, but its my own and it makes me feel much better about my work. I do want to pick up Hermione Trainer in the future when I have more experience and a better foundation to work from and using my own art, but that's not something I can guarantee at this point. I still want to and enjoy making games and I want to make something I feel proud of, but AI wasn't it for me. People have been fairly understanding about it so that makes me feel better and its not like I charged people for the game. It was always a little project I was working on for free.

Dude, straight up, do your thing, don't listen to whining people who use your content free of charge.
Be proud of yourself, you put your ideas out there and that's enough. Do your best it will be enough.

Using AI tools in art is similar to how other industries adopted new technologies - it's about enhancing your capabilities, not replacing your creativity. Just as carpenters didn't feel less skilled when they started using power tools instead of hand tools, using AI shouldn't make you feel like a fraud. The key is to view AI as one tool in your creative toolkit, not a replacement for your artistic vision and effort.

The goal isn't to let AI do all the work, but rather to find ways to integrate it thoughtfully into your creative process. Like any tool, its value comes from how you choose to use it - and that choice is entirely personal. Some artists, like the Amish with their traditional methods, may choose not to use certain technologies, and that's perfectly valid too. The important thing is finding an approach that aligns with your values and lets you create work you're proud of.

well, just wanting to mention that one may also use AI to "merely" improve the quality of their works, rather than doing images from scratch.

but you're right. it's your project and you should do it the way you like - because this also means the chance to express and work on it better. and of course, thank you for having shared it

Considering AI tends to top out at what is usually the floor for human art to be considered decent, I don't think I'd use it to finish anything, only start pictures.

I don't see it that way ...
My friend, I can still see several artifacts (some weird white pixel) around her tail and around several spots of her hair. Her nipples are mismatched (right has a tiny nipple and larger areola, left has a larger nipple with what looks like a flower petal opening and no areola) and she has an extra finger on her left hand.

This work needs clean up.

- - - - puzzola_2.png I like what I like!

No matter how it came about.

If an untalented, non-artist was created using AI,
I like it better than what the artist does with or without AI ...
... Then what the untalented artist does is better!
Is that clear?

I guess hiding a nipple is one solution to the symmetry problem. Although the black fur between her boobs don't work here. Looks more like a badly rendered suit than fur. I'm also getting distracted by the tail merging with the hair from her head and the odd mass by her fingers.

I can say that it her tits look right, but it's hard saying what I like about them since I don't like boobs in general.

I read your report with interest.

Art is a strange thing ...

I would now like to ask for your expert opinion on this famous painting, whose market value ranges from $5 million to $20 million, based on the same criteria—both positive and negative.

Pablo_picasso-nude_woman_with_turkish_bonnet 2.jpg

Which painting do you prefer?
My Skunk Girl, with a market value of $0.00, or the women in the painting, who are highly acclaimed and famous in art circles?

And if, for some strange reason, you were forced to marry one of these two women... which would you choose?
