This is technically not a lie. He's almost undoubtedly losing backers faster than he's gaining new ones, purely because there aren't updates on the Patreon page.
The situation with the dev is that he very long time ago stoped updating the game and instead he is posting messages about how he still working on the game.

If you add up all the lies he told, you get that he is a liar. The actual progress made has most likely been ZERO and none planned, which would mean no update will come out. This is a far more likely and reasonable scenario given the circumstances, so stop lying to yourself and accept the reality of the situation and move on.

I never said you were being supportive. I was pointing out that the dev has already been caught lying many times about the update progress and release date in the past 4 year. That fact makes a self-reporting platform like Trello an unreliable source of information since it's being reported by a confirmed liar. (Keep in mind that the dev used to do a progress report on Discord back in 2020-2021 which never resulted in an update and Trello is essentially a more colorful version of that)
It had been 6+ months since I took a look at this thread. I saw that someone recently posted a link to the Trello page so I went to look and almost no changes have been made to it in the time I was away. If, by some miracle, an update is actually released I'll probly need ED meds to rise to the occasion.
I barely post here, but if you actually check the DATES on that trello shit, most of it hasn't been updated in half a year, some of it like two years ago. He is quite clearly lying.
No doubt about that, there are signs left and right that the dev is lying. Another one being his last post on his Patreon on October 9th 2024 where he talks about releasing the update like he is about to release it soon, and that was almost a year ago now. The dude is just trying to create an illusion as if things are moving along and progress is being made so he can string the suckers along as long as possible.
even with a update he wont gain new/old fans whatever quit in this time will no come back no matter what bc they feel betrayed, and new fan wont support due to awful dev if only the game would matter to get support ppl would still suscribe to him but in the last 3 years he has lost 300 patreons or so

How is this technically not a lie? He is getting free money for doing NOTHING. He is not losing money in any sense of the word. Losing patrons, may be but is he still making a profit? Definitely! Releasing even a small update requires a little amount of effort, which he isn't ready to put in. What he has written isn't just disingenuous, it's outright deceitful!
Well, at least now we know for sure the guy is quite actively working on the game, but that's cold comfort when he's putting all that effort into stupid bells and whistles nobody but him is ever gonna care about.
He literally has stated this started as a PERSONAL project. Its HIS project and HE he cares how it turns out despite what others say, why are u able to understand everything but that? It's not rocket science
