I don't agree that all the LIs are ugly, Keira and Celeste are fine :)(y).

It's true that no one can run for Victoria's Secret, but you have to remember that the game is also set in the underworld of street racing :WeSmart:.

I'm waiting since the prologue for the scene with Stella.

Probably at this moment I'm more hooked by the mistery and the street racing than the girls. So LET HIM COOK!

I agree. I'm playing this for the story and racing! Brings me back to when I had my tuned Civic. Miss it sometimes.

Thanks. Though I got this error when I selected prone.

ScriptError: could not find label 'ep1sc3_sexscene_6'.
I have the same issue, does the file not complete?
I hit that same problem when clicked on prone. i think the problem is in the choices file where this line
auto "gui/choices/mm_minichoice_%s.png" action [ToggleScreen("minichoice1"), Jump("ep1sc3_sexscene_6")] hovered [Play ("sound", "audio/sfx/click2.mp3")]
where "ep1sc3_sexscene_6" should be either "ep1sc3_sexsceneprone2" or "ep1sc3_sexsceneprone1"
if you know how to use unren, you can extract the rpa file& change the choices.rpy file, then put it in the game directory

Not sure why this VN is getting the negative commentary that it has. I'm all for devs who create an immersive world and keep things grounded in reality. High Desire checks all the boxes for me so far.
I agree. I think the story and characters are sufficiently developed for Episode 2. All the characters feel 'real' and the scenes are tight and don't drag on (aka never felt the urge to skip it). I wouldn't even call it a slowburn tbh. I think the pace is pretty moderate although the release cycle (10-12 months per episode) is pain.

Production-wise it is already top tier. Animations are pretty much perfect; both inanimate objects and people. The only thing lacking I can mention is the story needing more characters, both in the drifting side of things and college.

This is super true. There is this 'real' feel about the game. Dialogue is well written and the scenes are meaningful without overstaying their welcome. It also helps a lot that the characters are very grounded and with little to no trope. Just overall a very smooth experience while playing the game.

I just started playing today and I'm super impressed by the game.

Yo, this game is hella dope.

BUG: There's a screen where Wayne is used instead of the chosen MC name: "Wayne, would you be a sweetheart and get us some drinks?"

But I love this game. I'm perfectly happy with the not-model chicks. They're still hot, and the art style is great. The animations are top class, as well. The overall production is excellent, as is the directive vision.

I don't comment often, but this game might become one of the top five. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Everything's already been fixed in the latest patreon version.

Bugs
Crash: episode0/scene8.rpy: play music "audio/music/No Time - Extended.mp3" fadein 5 loop
- Fix: "No Time.mp3"
Crash: episode1/scene18.rpy: play music "audio/music/Midnight Whispers.mp3" loop fadein 5
- Fix: "Midnight Zone.mp3"

I also got these grey blank-screen transitions from videos to images all the time so far. Was mentioned here earlier and supposedly fixed.
Playing HighDesire-Ep.2-win.

I really enjoyed the game. I don’t understand the criticisms in the latest reviews, they seem petty. The characters are interesting, with a couple of minor exceptions, and the plot points kept me intrigued. The protagonist being a dick to the new girlfriend of the man he hates the most, even if questionable, is pretty human as a reaction. Maybe the aspect that convinced me the least in the story is the university—it feels a bit out of place at this point even if it's to respect her mother wish, but to be fair, it’s also the least developed part so far, so we'll see.

Visually, I liked the character designs, though I admit some of them look significantly older than they’re supposed to—especially the protagonist and Jude, but also a few of the women. Still, it’s a minor issue.

If there’s one thing I’d criticize, it’s the animations. There are just too many. Don’t get me wrong—if I had to choose between two games with the same amount and quality and content, I’d definitely pick the one with more well-made animations out of the two. But this isn’t a thought experiment, it’s a real-world situation. Animations take a lot of time and effort. In a small team, they should be reserved for the most important moments, so as not to drain resources from the rest of the game and slow progression and energy from the devs. The sex scenes and the car races? Absolutely worth it. The showdown with Keira was thrilling and exhilarating (although I do think the music should have continued during the static cockpit shots—it kind of killed the momentum). But the scene where he grabs a bottle of wine and heads out to the porch? Or all the scenes with cars simply arriving or driving along regular streets (maybe the only expection would be the scene in the prologue when the protagonist goes to the hospital, that was a nice way to keep tension high)? Even the character presentations. They didn’t make enough of an impact on the mood or the scene to justify the production effort imho. Obviously, that's just my take on the matter.

That said, I’m very curious to see how the project develops. The theme the game explores isn’t exactly common, and I’m super excited to see where the protagonist’s illegal racing career goes from here.
