Thread doesn't seem to have the most recent build, but the changelog for the new version can be found on the site:

Any idea if this thread will get updated as its abandoned?
The less attention this hackjob of a game gets, the better.

Crow has been "working" on this project on and off for a solid NINETEEN years now, turning away and kicking out ANY help after the slightest criticisms.... and on top of that, using his business' social media profile as a soapbox, then nuking everything after getting into fights over twitter users' political opinions.

Sure, we have objectively worse developers like T*** P*** but at least they're honest about their shittiness level.

That's a little reductive of what actually happened, but yeah, he's taken way too long working on delivering projects a scale he's absolutely not capable of delivering on in a reasonable time frame. So much so that rather than "working" on THIS project for a solid nineteen years, he has made multiple different projects trying to achieve similar goals that seems will never be achieved. While I can appreciate deciding to take works in new directions and change design plans as new technology becomes available, the scattering of partly-done games leading up to this one is pretty damning. The amount of work it takes to build the entire world that Crow wants this game to inhabit is beyond his ability to deliver on while still populating the game with actual content that his interested followers want to see. This is the kind of project that should be done by even ten times as many people, not one who is still learning how the tools work.

I appreciate his determination and enthusiasm, but if we found out that he was going to be an overambitious visionary and a bad flash coder blaming everything else but himself, Crowchild should've done things differently after HTH2.

He should've dropped the idea of the game altogether, salvaged what was left of the then-Rio DVD and immediately resumed work on getting it done. If things went smoothly, we could've seen a 2012 release that ultimately gets mixed reviews due to the animation and cliche porn plot, but gets praised for being the first full-length animated furry porn flick in a long time

After that, take the idea of High Tail Hall and its characters and work it into a worldbuilding project with a manageable scope. Release a few short story compilation books, a couple of illustrations and bios, and have the furry fandom have a go at it with their own contributions. I think the HTH project would not be seen in such a negative light if Crowchild had the foresight to realize what his shortcomings would eventually do to his reputation.

Wait, didn't they have a Data Breach back in 2018 and then their Studio Location either Flooded or caught Fire which all but halted the original Development?

Well apparently they released an update nearly a month ago. I'm guessing no one has access to it though since it's only for Patrons?

That's cool and all, but why don't the changelogs list new scenes?
There probably weren't any. Because Crow spends most of his time working on Cyana working on the actual setting that's going to be populated with girls who have scenes. Assuming that it will ever get done, that is.

Does anyone know if Crow kicked Leilani off the HTH team? I remember when she threw that shitfit over people not reading her comic series
I'm not aware of any HTH team to speak of. It's just Crowchild doing everything (most the time nothing) and his (unwed) wife Tyvara responding emails from subscribers.
Fossil left him a decade ago. Even Evie Smash, the guy who helped Crow to setup a Unity3D in the beginning, left him. Crow has got nowhere with the engine since that.
I haven't heard of anyone else ever actually working with Crowchild.

The alleged studio fire was in 2012 or so. Crowchild claimed that he lost all HTH2 Beta source files, scrapped the second iteration of the game and restarted from scratch the third iteration of HTH.
The infamous customer records leak happened in 2018. It turned out to be Crows fucked up attempt to setup a new server himself. Situation is described earlier in this thread https://f95zone.to/threads/high-tail-hall-new-cyana-v0-1e-alpha-hth-studios.8251/post-2092576

More desperate than strong. Its a niche market in terms of games. That causes things like this and breeding seasons to get far more money than they would otherwise. If you can draw furry art and animate or even just put it in game format you're likely to get some money.
If Adeptus Steve tried marketing Wild Life on proper furry channels a lot more often, then the past two generations of furries will realize how badly they were cheated out of high-quality yiff games that were actually good.

That project is making $120,000+ on Patreon for a reason.
