That's kinda scummy man. At least DO something. There are 10 actively updated links right here. What the hell did you do to warrant drawing people off of F95?HikariFirstInterlude-0.04.13p

we do this for basically all the windows games on f95, it gives people options to download without having to use one of the normal filehosts. If you don't like it you don't have to use it, it's probably just not for you. That's kinda scummy man. At least DO something. There are 10 actively updated links right here. Sigh... thanks. I'm glad that was the only crash you got. There are a few of those where if you technically "Loose" the game will crash as well. I'm not a python coder and I used AI to help write that code. It. Is. Trash. It really doesn't have any place in a Ren'py project. I know some people have managed to get something similar to work, but I aint got those skillz. Yet.Atherin, you might already be aware of this, but JIC rollback from the hex battle board crashes the entire game. (Or, at least for me it does; TBF, I do have a pretty old GPU, a GTX 1080... I know, I know: I'm in the process of saving to buy a 5090.) I don't normally roll back for something like this, but I was trying to remind myself of which hero does splash damage, etc. Maybe there's already in the game a better way to get reminded of abilities and I just am unaware. In any case, just as an FYI.
TBH, I would suggest just using renpy.block_rollback() during combat to temporarily disable it entirely. As for reminders about what attack patterns / abilities the heroes had, you could always have an icon in the corner that brings up an info screen or similar. I'm not expert, but something along those lines might take care of this type of thing during combat.Sigh... thanks. I'm glad that was the only crash you got. I'll see if I can improve it, thanks. ^^
I would like it if you put a skip button on it. I played through it once and then got annoyed when I was trying to skip though my other saves and had to play the minigame several times.Sigh... thanks. I'm glad that was the only crash you got. hmmm /nod. That's not an unreasonable request. In the mean time, using the general "Skip" mode in Ren'py will help those battles go faster. Even the first time.I would like it if you put a skip button on it. Happy New year. Was just working on the comic. XPHappy New year Atherin and everyone else , I wish you guys good health!![]()
v0.04.16b was the last chapter four update, meaning it took 16 weeks to finish it. However chapter four was broken into smaller self contained sections that I've been trying to put in public updates whole, so... I'd say please play it now! But I'm obviously biased. There's a lot of 0.04.x updates. When would the current arc end? (I assume when 0.05 starts, but...)
For context: I'm trying to figure out whether to play right now, or to wait for a chunk of story to tie itself up.
What you guys - who played till last update - would recommend?
The Comic. -.-I've searched around and I'm surprised I can't find anyone else talking about this in the thread but why does the beginning feel like it's picking up at the end of another story? There's a bunch of stuff that's set up without explanation and you're just expected to accept everything that's going on and know who these people are.
Is there some note that used to be in the OP that explained this? I feel like something got removed and forgot to be put back in.
A lot of stuff gets explained as you go along (including an explanation of what happened not long before the beginning of the game). Think of it like you're the MC: he's confused in many ways about things when he first wakes up, so you as the player are in a similar position. Little bits and pieces are revealed as you go along, with some longer scenes explaining in a lot more detail.I've searched around and I'm surprised I can't find anyone else talking about this in the thread but why does the beginning feel like it's picking up at the end of another story? There's a difference between cold opens and leaving a whole chunk of the story out, might be worth putting in the OP that the game takes place after the comic? The Comic. -.-
Aaaaand it's a cold opening. Your supposed to be confused.
Right but there's a lot of context that's missing that the MC wouldn't have forgotten, I just got up to the first choice between the three girls and between the start and that choice there's quite a bit of context that's missing, and if the choices matter so much you can't just leave out info the MC would know and expect the player to make informed choices, it's just not good writing. The MC would know these things, he's not an amnesiac or in some sort of stupor.A lot of stuff gets explained as you go along (including an explanation of what happened not long before the beginning of the game). Thanks for sharing. Take care now.I rarely write a comment here, but this game is the worst thing I've ever played in my life, and I wanted to say it
