Glad to read DB recognizes he kinda slacked the past couple of updates. Hillside was near the top among the games I was playing and I remember the long wait at 0.10. I was really excited but everything that came after felt really flat to me and the game kinda lost its charm a bit. Really hoping it picks back up again.

Since I played 0.12.1, I found it to be more than decent and I'll follow to see where it goes. Just the 0.12 ending, I lol'd at the abrupt cut.

I felt like watching some romantic comedy movie. One of the best game I ve ever played I must confess however there are few things I didnt like about this game. One of them is and I guess the most importont of all is Charlotte's being not beautiful enough to be a top model. I always say main character I mean the forbidden fruit must be gorgeous and irresistibly beautiful than the other characters in the game so the gamers would enjoy achieving to get her into bed. Secondly, game is unnecesarily long therefore after a while becomes boring. There are few sex scenes whgich is unacceptable in a porn game ofc. Lastly game ends in most absurd way. Detective Carter's revealing his true identity, killing Zack Prince on street, releasing hostage Emma easily, not using his gun, not killing Charlotte Emma and MC (all characters who witnessed his crimes) in the back of the street were all pointless. Whatever it was kinda good game and I'd really appeciate the effort the Dev put into creating such a good game anyway.

A lot of players find her gorgeous though, so perhaps it's more a question of taste. She's isn't my 'type', none of the women are, but I do find her beautiful.
Here I think you may have misunderstood something, Hillside isn't a porn game. It's a game about misuse of power, rape and corruption (not the sexy kind) in the fashion industry, and dealing with trauma. That the game is billed as 'adult' doesn't mean it's porn, just that it deals with things not generally suitable for a younger audience, like violence and rape. 'Adult' can mean porn, but doesn't have to.
The game hasn't reached its end yet, there are more updates coming. The developer has said he wasn't happy with the last few updates, so some of the things you mention may be changed. Maybe not in a big way, I assume the main plot and events will remain mostly the same, but we will probably see some changes for the better.

About sex scenes. I would even say that it has no sex scenes, at least in my playthrough, only interested in Charlotte and Emma. And i agree that sex scenes are important in these games.
But there are also games which have other qualities that make up for the lack of sex.
First of all interesting and well written characters (helps if they are beautiful like Charlotte for example), and god writing and story.
For example hillside focuses on story and has a lot of text, but it is very easy to read, it just flows naturally.
That being said, i think it is time for some sexy scenes with Charlotte, not sex but maybe some skin. The way this last update ended, maybe we could see some in the next update. Maybe a kiss with showing boobs or something to the MC. Probably not much more.
Also i am interested to know are there any plans for a chance that the MC could have some love or sexy relationship with Emma. Or would that ruin the story.

I play every update as soon as it is released, but as I said only Charlotte and Emma i find interesting, Suzy in a way too. So i am going for a Charlotte faithful route without screwing with the rest, less interesting characters, like Lucy or Kayla. My opinion obviously.

well mc has still has to solve her blackmailer (it's not fully done) and punish her due her behavior towards her future daddy/uncle/brother in law.
