He was joking. They're best friends and served in the army together.

Okay so I'm confused, maybe I wasn't reading carefully enough but why does the MC keep saying Emma died?
For instance. "That was the night I saw Jason again for the first time since Emma's death." then 12 sentences later Charlotte is like "I realized something while talking to Emma last night."
Is it some other Emma is he hallucinating a dead girl into existence is he just crazy and imagining she's dead and thinking he's saying these things when he's not is it maybe the author of the walkthrough mod taking the piss?
I'm just super confused. It's very much making me think there's gonna be some dumb twist ending where he murdered the whole family when he was hired and hallucinated the whole story while in jail or something so seriously what's happening?

Milton explained the gist of it, but you really got to actually read the story and not skip big chunks if you get confused by something like that. It's not some hidden "conspiracy" or something, it was explained in detail a few times, so if you don't get it it's because you either skipped parts, or didn't pay attention.

I got it now I just skipped around a bit at first but reread the whole thing up to where I made it to the first time. I will say though having the same name is definitely an interesting choice though cause I know lots of people kinda skim through these longer games since not everyone has the time away from work to see if they're gonna be invested for something that's such a large time sink. I usually skip around a bit then do a reread if I'm actually invested enough which I can say I am for this one now that I've cleared up my confusion.

Thanks for clearing things up concisely I was just kinda skipping around a bit at first because it's a very long game and I wanted to see if I was interested enough to do a full read through on my days off I've since reread up to where I made it the first time so I'm caught up now. Sorry for the trouble.

Two different characters having the same name in this story is an important part of it. Possibly one of the most important things that define the main character and his motivations.

i had a fever nightmare on next update and it was 5 paths all about emma besidrs on 1 path it had allow suzy dating or not (she was at bar talking to some guy) and other had including or not emma on some group photo.

I have played over 800 games from this site over the years. And Emma is still my favourite LI. I don't get much enjoyment out of many avns anymore, but seeing Emma always puts a smile on my face.

I'd even say she improves my metal health at times when I feel down. Thank you again for creating her and the game DB.

I'm coming up on my 20th anniversary of being a member on this site and have played thousands of games, this is my 2nd fav game of all time and while Emma may be an absolute sweetheart, Charlie's struggles & complexity has me riveted to this game!!!

I'm sure that the conclusion of this game will help me towards healing personal scars IRL!

I'm not as obsessed as you two. I have no idea how many threads I've started, but I do a pre-selection process. Do I like the story and/or the preview images, or not? According to my Ren-Py folder, I've played at least 250 visual novels. I usually start with the original English version and see if it's worth my while. Only about a fifth of these visual novels make it into my language. I save the folder "save" to my favorites under "Saved Games" and then delete the visual novels. I typically only keep an update for one or two hours before deleting it.

I only keep three visual novels completely, and this one is by far my favorite, for countless reasons!
