It said at the end of chapter 1 I spanked Maia, I didn't, I didn't even see the scene this time.

Does anyone know what’s up with those weird comments that keep popping up in the game? You know, the ones labeled like 'environment', 'feeling', or 'logic'. They seem kind of out of place, like random statements or descriptions that don’t always make sense, and they don’t feel like they’re coming from the main character either.

Are these supposed to be from some omniscient narrator? Developer commentary? The protagonist’s inner thoughts? I find the whole thing a bit confusing, especially compared to more traditional storytelling or exposition. It's just a strange way of doing things, and it kind of throws me off at times.

Mostly other than the 'environment' it's the MC's inner monologue

Okay, that doesn't change the fact that the MC's inner thoughts are awkwardly written and often feel out of place. The way they're phrased or presented can be strange, even jarring at times. I guess it's an early build, and writing clearly isn't the focus, the game doesn't seem very story-driven or overly ambitious either. I'm still testing it, but so far it's pretty barebones, both technically and narratively. We'll see how it shapes up.

The waltz music that constantly plays whenever the queen is present gets repetitive and honestly feels out of place. There’s no ball, no banquet, no dramatic moment happening. It just doesn’t fit the mood. I get that it’s probably a royalty-free track chosen for convenience, but there are plenty of softer, more subtle tracks out there, especially ones with a medieval-fantasy tone, that would work better and still be free or cheap. Music is part of the narrative language too; it sets the tone and conveys emotion, and here it just clashes with what’s on screen. Just a bit of feedback on that front.

As for the rest, the game is very classic. Not ugly, not beautiful either. A bit dated technically and pretty basic overall. The writing and story are average at best, pretty flat honestly. I didn’t have any expectations; I just saw the game and figured I’d give it a try. Maybe it will improve over time, we’ll see. Good luck to the dev on their endeavors.

The dev is doing his best and taking criticisms and suggestions from the community, also the game is still in the early stages and we have plenty of content. Also the dev did a major rework in the latest update. What matters the most is that he's consistent with the update and doesn't keep us waiting for too long, which already puts this game ahead of the pack considering every other AVN with a decent story usually takes more than 4 months

I simply shared my impressions of the game after trying it out a bit. I didn't try to disparage it or bring it down in any particular way, nor did I put the blame on the developer. Basically, I'm saying that the game doesn't have much at this stage to really stand out or leave a lasting impression. At best, it's okay, but nothing more for now. Maybe it will improve over time, and I hope it does, but as I said, I'm judging based on what’s currently available.

It's a good thing if the dev is making efforts in the right direction, kudos to him. That said, the frequency of updates isn't, in my opinion, a reliable indicator of quality or depth. It doesn’t say anything about the intrinsic strengths or weaknesses of a game. A developer can release updates very regularly, but that alone doesn’t magically make a game good or help it stand out from others.

That's why I said I had no expectations for the game, so I'm not disappointed by it. I tried it, gave my first impressions after playing, and I’d say it’s okayish at best but nothing more. Very basic, even. The story is uninteresting, lacks originality, feels flat, and the characters are quite shallow.

I play visual novels for their story. Lewd content is a nice bonus when it's well done, but it's not essential for me to enjoy a narrative. In this case, both aspects are rather average and basic. Not terrible, I’ve definitely seen worse on this site, but at this stage, it's not enough for me to consider it a very good or remarkable game.

To be honest, it's likely I'll forget about this game soon, and that’s not really a problem. If it improves later, I’m not completely closing the door on it either. I wish the developer good luck in these early stages, it's certainly not easy. That being said, the game doesn’t shine through its story or writing, which may be a choice or a specific direction. That’s fine too. As I said, I’m probably just not the target audience right now.

I guess I missed a bunch of scenes since I went full honor. Didn't even know the queen was an LI.

In the begging of the game after you leave the brothel Alice comes to get you but it's the Darius character model instead. Kind of jarring just thought you should know.
This is only true for the compressed version, though.

Kabuki_, the Linux version is unplayable: there's roughly four hundred (GUI) images with mangled file extensions which breaks almost all of the choices.
Please do away with having separate versions for Win and Linux, building the PC package for both, instead. :geek:

That surprises me, I had no problems on Linux. But I might have downloaded the win version by accident and don't remember adding the Linux executables before playing. (Will check tonight at home and edit this post.)
