I was checking the files that are created by the game , there is a high possibility that the game creates extra files and hidden stuff in the computer.

UPDATE: I bought the game in Patreon. I can confirm 100% there must be an anti-piracy system going on that causes the crashes , either the version the website is uploading is compromised with anti-piracy measures or the developer is using SOMETHING that determines if the copies used are pirated.

Nah. That can't be right. The level of sophistication required to achieve that kind of DRM is impossible for a hack solo dev like this one. It's a bug that he's been too stupid or too lazy (probably both) to have properly fixed before whatever version you downloaded. I mean, let me ask you this: Which version was it that you got? v0.1.79? Yeah. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's the one that has the fix for the bugs.

Quick update, the user who complained on the discord regarding deleted saves was removed from discord. Read into that what you will haha. I think Dev is aware of the piracy and I am sure the save delete bug is specific to pirate copies and the chap gave himself away when he complained about the deleted save.
dev has been aware of the piracy for a while, he got so annoyed to the point where he tried hiding the files in patreon posts with gibberish titles and even tried to artificially inflate the games rating (i think that got him banned)

He's petty but he isn't smart enough to code an anti piracy measure like that, especially when sites like kemono just kinda rip it out the patreon as the file is (which would mean he's fucking over his paying customers too)

TL;DR dev is petty for no good reason and doesn't want to let us beat it in peace :sigh:

Okay what's the likelihood that the dev used some of his patreon cash to hire a knowledgeable coder to implement an anti-piracy measure? He may be too dumb to do it himself but not dumb enough to not realize he can just hire a dude for a quick one time job.

pretty low, they don't hire anyone to fix the other bugs, granted none are as major but I don't think they want to hire anyone to do anything

As I pointed out just a few posts ago, the developer of this game is far too incompetent to set up any kind of DRM, let alone something that sophisticated. So no, it is absolutely 100% a bug that he's just too dumb or too lazy to fix. If it really was DRM, he wouldn't have made it trigger on just one specific event or even at random, it would have blocked access to the game entirely.

So yeah, there you have it. Maybe not "proof" but as close to it as you can get for why this crash shit is a bug.

Well this was my thinking, he wouldn't do that if he didn't know that the person was pirating and experiencing a subsequent crash. That's why he's banning them, there has to be a crash bug embedded in pirated copies.

i believe my copy is 1.70, cause that's the version i got from itchi when i saw my game was way out of date

Guys, I know it's so difficult to believe, but we know that people with patreon versions are not experiencing crashed saves, and non paying members on the DotArt discord are being removed if they report a crash save. We can draw our own conclusions but what we can know for sure is that so long as we have a paid game, this crash isn't happening. Dev might be an idiot but that doesn't change the facts. We also don't take into account that a company like patreon themselves could have some anti piracy measures for it's customers, or that the dev knows someone who could have the knowledge to build antipiracy measures. Let's agree to draw our own conclusions lol

If multi-billion dollar companies like motherfucking Ubisoft can't even create a DRM without directly tying it to their online service, then what really are the odds of this DotArt fool doing it in just a matter of weeks, or even months, or even a full year? It simply isn't real because it simply isn't doable. Period. End of story. You can draw whatever conclusions you want, but they are blatantly wrong if you actually think this DotArt idiot is in any way capable of pulling off something like this.

It's a bug, and bugs are random. That is the whole truth of it. There is no difference between any of the paid versions and the pirated versions, because if there was, then DotArt himself would have to leak every single pirated version to ensure they are all infected with his malware DRM code.
