The game crashing the biggest issue. I can understand reusing models because of the amount of different characters, but the faces are really inconsistent. Some look decent (Harley Quin) but others (Android 18) look really off model.

a lot of the ones that look bad are old and have got redesigns done, you need to toggle them though, if the character has one then on the right side there should be like a head icon then you can switch between them. Harley also has one for her classic look

I've seen the "redesign" for some of them. They aren't much better.

Well, I'm not surprised to be right on that one.
I mean, only 3 posts, and the three of them were to beg for the update.

My money is on sock puppet accounts from the creator to get links from people so he can dcma them or just... i dunno. The dev is weird and spams everywhere they can so i'd also bet they are posting here to "keep the thread alive" or stir up a little drama, but not so much as to get the thread locked.

They are still just copy-paste models and shit "animation" where they slide around the parts. Most of the characters look nothing like their namesake.
