Well, ideally the purpose would be to create a positive feedback loop between the creators and the public, to spark ideas to make innovations in the future or refine unpolished aspects, but yeah the very real examples you've given are indeed a wild shooting of opinions rather than constructive criticism (good critique is HARD

Hi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next full version of Holiday Island (0.3.0 beta).
The change log below is based on the beta 0.2.3.0 release.
The next main release is 0.3.0 beta which will be a new full update for Windows, Linux and Mac. It will include a lot of new features and some bug fixes as well.
As of right now, the update from 0.2.3.0 to 0.3.0 has:
1,015 additional renders, videos or sound files
61 updated renders
New features and content
- Yvette gets another appointment at the beach during sunset --> still working on it (might be postponed)
- Once back from the lab, the player will talk with Joy in her office (end of lab day 3) --> still working on it
- Mercedes picks up the player to bring him back to the "surface", leaving the lab (lab day 3) --> still working on it (renders are mostly done)
- "End of day" and time passing by for the VN part in the lab has to be made --> still working on it (end of day/sleep is done)
- Daniela gets a workout event with the player, testing the strength of his legs and ankle (lab day3) --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Sara gets an event in the lab player room, where she talks about last night and teases the player (lab day 3 ) --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Daniela gets an event where she takes another MRI of the player's ankle (lab day 3) --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Sara gets an event where she brings the player another breakfast (lab day 3) --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice, Aly, Amy, Heather, Jessica and Sara get sexting images and texts from the motto evening at the night bar --> will be part of 0.3.0.0

- Sara and Miriam get an event in the underground lab gym (lab day 2) --> will be part of 0.3.0.0

- Dr. Rosario (Daniela) gets a scene in the MC's player room inside the lab complex where she asks for a sperm sample --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Amy's beach pose scene is reworked and gets high res webp images and some new images as well. A lot of the dialogue has been rewritten too --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Miriam gets a scene in the MC's room inside the underground lab where she brings him some clothes --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Aly gets a photo studio event where she poses in high boots --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Aly gets web search pictures themed "B&B magazine" --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Functionality to send messages to the girls and receive their replies has been added --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Sara, the second new characters, gets a scene where she shows the MC to his room in the lab facility and you learn some more about her background --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Renée gets web search pictures themed "busty escorts" --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Amy gets web search pictures themed "car calendar" --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Daniela, one of the new characters, gets a scene where the MC gets an MRI and is examined and treated by the doctor --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- We finally get access to the secret research lab, where two new special characters are introduced --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice gets a quest for some new lingerie, some sexting images and a new achievement --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette gets a quest for some new lingerie, some sexting images and a new achievement --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The MC gets an X-Ray at the doctor's office, Miriam provides some distraction, and permission to enter the secret underground lab is granted --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- A new scene when the MC jogs at the beach and hurts himself will be added. It's a scene with Miriam that leads to the discovery of the underground lab --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Desire gets a new arrival scene that replaces the old one --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette's pole dance scene has been completely redone with high res images. It has two achievements now and is completely non generic --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Aly gets a random event in her room with three achievements, that involves different cosplays and some intimate actions --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- A new special action (pose butt) has been added for Amy, Alice and Jessica. More character will follow later --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha gets a second arrival scene with a new "on the plane" story and some additional renders --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha's arrival scene has been re-rendered in 2560x1440 and some new images have been added. The dialogue is now also completely different between the first and later arrival scenes --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Yvette gets a new scene when she's standing in her door wearing just a towel --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice gets and additional strength training appointment that is repeatable --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice's event where she's struggling with the weights at the gym has been completely remade. There is also an achievement now --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Alice will get an update for her strength training appointments. All images will be re-rendered in 2560x1440 webp format --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The game's Ren'Py version has been updated to the latest stable version 7.4.4. This should improve stability and reduce crashes especially on weaker machines --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- You get the option to do a web search for a girl and theme, once you have obtained the information. Each web search theme is listed as an event in the girl's achievements --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- You get access to the girls' profile pages through your phone. That's the one with the about section and the four preview images on the right --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The girls' phone preview picture can be changed directly from the new overview screen --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- You can remove the gap between the picture frames in the new player room now --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Image quality when special actions like groping etc. are shown on the phone has been improved --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- Natasha gets two new sexting and three new dream images --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- The phone gets a new character overview screen with more information and direct (1 click) access to all girl related data and achievements --> will be part of 0.3.0.0
- When you already have an appointment for the next day and stay up until after 02:00, none of the actions in the player room is useable --> will be fixed with 0.3.0.0
- When the doctor is talking, sometimes a wrong name is displayed --> will be fixed with 0.3.0.0
Is the update going to break save games?
0.2.3.2 beta --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.
0.3.0.0 beta --> same as for 0.2.3.2
Estimated release dates:

A few things are being created and developed, as can be seen in the Development News (4 posts above)
Then has to go through testing, which... as it is lots of content, I would say will take some time.
Be prepared for it to maybe arriving the end of May, but could easily be the beginning of June.
I have seen a few games on here recently state release dates and then when it gets near to it, and the game is not available you get the usual demanding posts.
It can be seen Darkhound is trying his best to get the release out soon, but understand if unforeseen issues arise it could be a little late, and please don't post the usual demanding posts when it comes to the end of the month... I know... not going to happen... but maybe once the users of this site will prove me wrong?

around the end of May 2021 is still not an exact release date, but rather a target or estimated date.

I would say Stormfly83 is still a bit salty from not getting likes and validation from strangers for the posting of a "Perfect Save File" which was pointed out to them would not help anyone get to see all the content, and that they had used the Companion Mod so anyone using it would be complaining of the "Nemod" error.
Strange if you had spent all that time creating a save you did not know it was just one person creating this game

When does the "Hug and Kiss" contest thing happen?
I've only encountered the Wet T-Shirt and Butt contests and I'm at the part of Aly's questline where I've got to get 3 gold weekly trophies, so I don't understand how I'm supposed to get those all in one week when there's only 2 contests that I've seen? I'm only on Day 27 so I dunno if I just have to wait or I'm missing something altogether.
