found the culprit...
i downloadded and unzipped the version 0.3.1.0 and the patch 0.3.1.1 and the messages was still invisible, but i renamed the folder and created a new one and now i can see them

That begs the question, which option(s) in UnRen did you try and run? If it was more than just extracting the RPA packages, then chances are you missed the warnings about using UnRren, here in this thread and on page 12 of the Companion Guide. Not saying you did anything wrong, but hopefully your problem can be avoided by others.

Glad everything worked out for you and you now have fully functional game.

To my knowledge, any translation into another language would have to be done by an outside source or individual, as at this point, the developer has no plans to release the game in additional languages.

Option 9 decompile the .rpyc files, that is what caused your issue and why the patch wasn't working.
Only use option 1 to extract the images.

Just my opinion, but I would recommend this game to anyone, regardless of their level. However, I would make sure I had some idea of what they were looking for. Holiday Island isn't for every gameplayer as some are better off spending their time on PornHub. The Introduction on page 6 of the 'Companion Guide' gives a very good description of the game and how it is different from others. Joy, sums it up nicely.

I wouldn't. This game is much better than other VN's. If you play it, you will be unable to enjoy the others.

Mechanically and visually a good game so far but man like almost all the girl's personalities/backstories are just grating. They make pee selling twitch thots look like decent refined ladies with standards. From their stories, half of them are so loose that it's a wonder that mc even needs to court them as a game mechanic. Or even get their name.

Feels silly to have long walks on the beach with prostitutes that casually talk about how they fucked an entire basketball team all at once. With these types of ladies, better just have HI pay them their extra 50 and be done with it. Or just wait in the bedroom and hit skip time. Being the only guy there, they'd probably break MC's door down to get in his pants after a few days if they have to.

Its a slow burn time sink but with a plethora of sexual content on 'most' of the girls (the companion guide might hell you decide who to prioritise but honestly id still just pick who you like the most) and whilst each girl is different and thus some put out faster than others i would expect to have to work to get their affection. Its designed for you to woo not just instantly access a harem of willing vagina but naturally those who put in the work get the biggest rewards with so many girls and so much content to see on them (with a few more girls added recently to the island staff aka permanent additional girl of top of the ones you personally invite).

Speaking of which id wait for next update to drop (soonish most of us speculate) as a better launch pad but overall the game is fun, simple enough to get the hang of despite being about as far from a visual novel as you can get and most of the girls have garnered hardcore fanbases for good reason. Your prob never gonna see ALL of the content, im not even joking so welcome to Holiday Island, enjoy your stay!
