Well I guess I was thinking the update only would update from 3.1.0 to 3.5.1 and there would be no need to do a full game download and then the update. The game starts just fine so I doubt the Fix is needed. I will try the 5.0 DL first and then update and see.
It is always wise to download directly from the developer's Patreon page.

Pre-reqs do not require any of the quests to be done or advanced in order for her to participate in any of the contests.
There are some pre-reqs that have to be done, like progressing the timeline with Sara far enough along, talking with Jennifer, etc. I believe that those were what Monsieur X was referring to.
I would agree that the silhouette on the left is Ivy, or Ivyness, or some other flavor of Ducky-style Ivy-ish character. The silhouette on the right appears to be about as tall as the one we assume is Ivy, and I believe Ivy is at least half a head taller than M&M, so I'm guessing it's Mi.
I am aware that some quests require pre-reqs, however as seen here you can see there are no pre-reqs for the Shirt and Butt contests.
The lab is available from day 45 and requires a fair number of things, grab the companion guide (page one has the link) and go to the section, how do I get Miriam to take me to the secret lab
Looking at the pics you attached, you have a lot to do before advancing Sara far enough along to get her into the contests. Check your open quests for Sara. Reading the Companion Guide might be useful too. This is on page 131.
Then that is a flaw in the hint system. We have had quests before where they were locked behind a major quest line before and the hint said as much. Good to know though that it is in the guide as I totally forgot about it even though I have helped with it in the past.
