Not that i dont like "Guess Who", the actual version has 119 images (dont know how many will be added) but afaik Yumiko sends you a message every third day, so even with "cheating" (save and reload when wrong) it takes about 360 days (or a few days more because you cant start it from day 1) to get all of them, i think even if playing slowly and with grinding you are finished with every event/scene/appointment earlier by far than that... and grinding only for the missing images is a bit boring i think...
Maybe Guess Who can trigger once every day when started, or maybe every third day until day 100 and then every day to make it possible to accomplish that earlier... Just an idea

Once a day may feel a bit spammy.
I, for one, am not super fond of the minigame, but I don't want to disable it entirely either.
What about the same frequency, but several images at once ?
Maybe start with three images, and if you guess all three on the first try, unlock another two ?
This way, you're not spammed every day, and you can unlock up to 5 images each round.
It should work with both casual boob-gazers and uber-completionists.
I just tested it, you can just close the minigame if u want (or ignore the message) if u dont want to solve it and wait for the next message from Yumiko...
But i was wrong, it might not always be 3 days (i just got another message after 2 days, but after another try it were again 3 days + a few hours)...
and what if ur first try is wrong and u dont want to savescum?
I think this idea might be more complicated to realize...
And u get several messages every day, i think one more or less might not be a big issue...
But thanks for other ideas, we have to wait what darkhound decides to do anyway, maybe he has an even better solution or he likes it just at it is right now...
However, i love this game anyway, would just be a nice improvement i think

Version 0.5.0.0 - development news (updated 9th of January 2025)
Hi guys and gals,
this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.5.0.0).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image.
The change log below is based on the release 0.4.5.0.
As of right now, the update from 0.4.5.0 to 0.5.0.0 has:
706 additional renders, videos or sound files (only includes post worked, finished renders)
5 new backgrounds for the phone
153 updated renders or videos
New features, major improvements and new content
- The winner of the titfight event will get a special evening and night with our hero -> still working on it
- There will be a huge titfight event at the bar with all the specials and some guests -> still working on it (more than 90% of the images finished and post worked (164), around 95% rendered, about 70% of the scene written)
- The listen to chat and rumors function will be very much extended. For details, please check this post -> still working on it
- Jessica gets a new room service event with two achievements -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Amy gets another "stay overnight" appointment at her room that's using the same base renders as her existing one, but with some new renders, an additional achievement and changed texts -> will be part of 0.5.0
- A new sub location for pool billiard will be added to the night bar and Amy will get a repeatable scene with three achievements. She's wearing her special dress during the game -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire gets a new drink scene at a table near the bar wearing her regular dress. The scene has three achievements and a story about a day at the beach with her twin sister Passion. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire will get a new nightbar drink scene on the red sofa wearing her sexy clothes. The scene will have three achievements with a story and a happy ending. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- A new, extended intro dialogue will be added for all characters that have matching attributes (like body type, breast size or height). During the dialogue, the girls will get additional affection points based on matching attributes. This will reduce the grind in the beginning of the game. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Added new introductory dialogs for all girls, depending on the player's choices in Joy's office at the beginning of the game. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Joy gets an appointment in her office where you talk about Miriam and Mercedes -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Amy gets and event in the elevator with two achievements and a happy ending -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire's workout pullups scene will be remade, and a teasing achievement will be added -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire's shower event has been re-rendered and has four achievements now -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire's scene at the gym shower gets two additional achievements with happy endings -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire's workout pecs scene will be re-rendered, and a lot of new images and a new achievement will be added -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Natasha gets a remade workout pullups scene -> will be part of 0.5.0
- The wait time between picture minigame messages hast been changed from two days to (on average) one day -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Faye's pool exit scenes have been re-rendered in 2560x1440 and webp format -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Amy gest a short scene wearing her special evening dress and walking along the hallway with the MC -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Desire's room service images have been upscaled and the animations have been improved -> will be part of 0.5.0

- A quick access button has been added for the player stats -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Scroll bar sizes have been increased, and a little more space has been added to make the game navigations easier to use on small devices like mobile phones. -> will be part of 0.5.0
- Renée's scene at the nightbar in the green room gets an extension (additional position in the couch) -> will be part of 0.5.0
- When Amy shows up during Yvette's weightlifting scene when you adjust the weights, a black image is shown -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
- When asking for an erotic massage and one of the checks (lust, love, affection) failed, the game got stuck -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
- In some cases, not all "guess who" pictures were shown -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
- A bug has been fixed where you could get stuck during Miram's breast quest -> will be fixed with 0.5.0
- Mia's event where she leaves the island could be triggered before her lab scene at the pool -> will be fixed with 0.5.0

At a high level, nothing really. Darkhound is working on some large items and those just take time. I am guessing he intended for a release by Christmas some months ago. But he simply did not make it. Likely some other pressures in his life.

Yes but little duckies get picked up & hugged by "big" girls - so you got that going for you ("which is nice")
I'm sure it is somewhere in this thread, but I don't know what to search to find it. I got a new computer and I want to transfer my saves over to it. How do I do this? Or maybe someone could just share a sa... nevermind (ducks from shoes and tomatoes being thrown at me).

Every Ren'Py game saves its files in two locations, so that you have two opportunities to recover your saves.
One of them will be in your game folder, for example: .../HolidayIsland-0.4.5.1-pc/game/saves/
The other copy will be in your user directory, which is different depending on your operating system. Also, each Ren'Py game gets a unique ID (shown here as NNNNNNNN) that is appended to the original game name:
- Linux: go to ~/.renpy/Island-NNNNNNNN/
- Mac: go to ~/Library/RenPy/Island-NNNNNNNN/
- Windows: go to %appdata%\RenPy\Island-NNNNNNNN\
(You can type %appdata% in the search bar; it usually expands to C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming)

The crush depth indicator tend to ruin it a bit.
It is very hard to see anything with the way warnings accumulate.
And the ceremony is distracting too.
That is when the last oxygenated brains cells gather.
They do this small speech "It's been an honor Sir".
Then salute as the event horizon approaches and the last lights flicker out.
