Version 0.5.1.0 - development news (updated 18th of April 2025)

Hi guys and gals,
this post offers you a collection of news about the next version of Holiday Island (0.5.1.0).
You can see the main focus and side areas for the next update in the above image. (will be added in a couple of days)
The change log below is based on the release 0.5.0.0.

As of right now, the update from 0.5.0.0 to 0.5.1.0 has:
0 additional renders, videos or sound files (only includes post worked, finished renders)
0 new backgrounds for the phone
19 updated renders or videos

New features, major improvements and new content
Minor improvements and changes (including image upgrades)

• Jessica's scene at the beach pavilion has been upgraded to 2560x1440 webp format -> will be part of 0.5.1

Bug fixes

• The tit fight even can trigger far too soon. A check is missing -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• Several typos and spelling mistakes have been fixed -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• During Yvette's date at the pool, if you try staring at anything else but her face, the camera zooms to the top left corner of the screen -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• When Jessica is introduced at the tit fight, it displays Jennifer's name and comments thanking Mercedes for the introduction. Also, at the end of Jessica's introduction, the name shows as Jennifer. -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• Animation in Joy's office will be adjusted -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• You could ask Amy to play pool with you before having seen the intro event -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1
• The appointment with Joy to talk about Miriam & Mercedes could trigger before you had been to the lab -> will be fixed with version 0.5.0.1

Is the update going to break save games?

Thanks for the hard work on the guide. But I have a question about the JENNIFER/SAM SCENE item. It lists as requirement just being 50 days on the island. But I have never seen it happen. That makes me think there is an additional requirement. Any thoughts what it could be?

It's a random event. Just keep roaming the halls and it should trigger.

Same reason you can't send Joy, Daniella, Miriam, Mercedes, Yumiko or Jennifer away. Delizia too, is part of the staff.

Based on your Traceback, it looks like there is an issue with your soundcard or audio device. Have you checked the drivers for those items?

You have injuried your ankle, then do the follow up appointment about your ankle. After that it's a random event in the morning. Mercedes will stop by your room to invite you to Tit Fight Night.

So I tried to find a post with the same issue with "data error" and found nothing. basically when i unzip, it extracts everything but webp, i got that webp codec installed and still no. what do other people use because I use 7zip.

I use WinRar, but it may be your download, especially if you downloaded it from Mega. For whatever reason, (probably an issue on Mega's end) I couldn't get a download from them to open without an error regardless of which program I used. No such issues with a download from Google. Try that and see if it helps.

I use 7zip as well. Never had a problem, so as Bantry suggests the problem is likely with your download.
Edit: being a patron I usually download from whatever Darkhound ships on. That for me usually is mega.nz. No problems there.
Edit2: I smell some regional dependency in mega.nz reliability. I am in Europe and mostly have no problems.
