It is Virginia who does the public versions, otherwise you won't find it here, devs who are on the site make sure that their patreon content is not out and about too early, thing is some devs role with it they create accounts here and go "yeah we know that the patreon version is being distributed here for free and all that but we won't take it down so if you like what you see follow our patreon and support us" while others sort of prevent such a thing from happening, both are valid options since it is up to the dev on what kind of path they want to choose and they are in their right if they remove the patreon version from here. Both ways get them patreons.

Thing is if Virginia didn't want do a public version than 4/10 would not be here let alone the game after the "demo", also, most people don't like the whole femboy and sissy stuff which is why HSATE is not updated faster on other forum sites as well, Of Birds and Bees newer version usually gets shared faster because it is mostly straight.

I know a dev who first hid the leaked non-free version behind a spoiler and after updating the free version removed it. That was possible because nobody reported it. (Today the non-free version isn't available anywhere.)

Ah didn't know that was the case, since you were part of the staff I guess it makes sense you would know stuff like this, but still I believe they can issue DMCA takedowns on the sites where the files are for example MEGA or gofile etc.
