after getting disappointed by their previous work Frostia
I have to admit that Frostia is actually my favourite work (from Shiboo, and top 3 in magical girl h-games), if only because of the variety of the scenarios you can trigger, from your everyday gangbang, to out-of-costume assaults by classmates, to a stuck-in-a-wall scene, and several endless trains ran on her if she gets captured. Some of them animated too. It's just a shame the translation is so low effort. It's the scene variety and creativity that often takes me back to H-Games after I finish them; Celesphonia always brings me back on occasion for the gym teacher and hole-in-a-wall scenes.

If Cross Near Heart had been even half as creative in it's scene building as Frostia, with even half the variety, I might have been more forgiving. As it is, it just feels like wasted productivity that could have gone towards another project.

Even the narrative choices are a bit weird. What was the point of having an expanded cast of cute none-magical-girls and all those out-of-costume scenes across the narrative when everything interesting happens when you lose a battle? Why have the thuggy looking girl seem to be into the MC is she never taps that? Why even change the MC's gender out of costume if the are never going to even have a nude scene out of costume? The transformation into Near Heart could have been the gender-swap part. What even was the point of the girl scientist being a cute girl when she is literally just magical girl powers exposition and a plot device? So many, many weird choices.

Ah well, least we have Shadow Maiden Serenoxia to look forwards to. Just the demo is superior, and longer, to this game.

How good are the H-Scenes? Do you think the game is replayable? It's my first time seeing works from this author and I think its pretty neat.

this creator didn't fail to deliver, their work is always mc corruption oriented, but they also gives the players for a virgin clear.
One of their game , is one of the game, totally recommended. F95zone thread. If you are into Magical Girl and corrupting them, this is one of such great games.

Wow, just finished, and that was... totally underwhelming considering how much I enjoyed Shiboo's previous titles. I can't say I was really on board with the gender swapping PC, but, that's not even an issue in the end product because there is just too much else wrong to focus on. The game is completely linear with no choices at all, no exploration, it's all Game Over scenes, there isn't a single 'yuri' scene with any of the other girls or any scenes involving them at all (technically there is 1, kind of, but it's a single CG and MC!futa). What scenes there are, are all pretty basic and generic, with little to none of the creativity of previous titles - just pretty basic and generic all around. Short too. I beat it in 2-3 hours.

I'm a little sad now. Shiboo is usually pretty great. I hope this was just sort of a throwaway side project they were having fun with while working on bigger and more ambitious titles.

I might run through it once more once it's translated, to actually experience the story, but only because it's set in the same 'world' as Lysteria and Frostea. There is nothing to revisit as far as porn goes.
It just goes to show sometimes, rather than adding more complexity to your game, keeping it simple like the prior games would make more sense (consideering the aim of the baddies in this game is just the same as the baddies in the previous games it´s clear sticking to simplicity makes more sense!).

The anime adaptation is pretty much dragging up the adaptation of the lyristia game too, each episode should be going further in the game´s plot but we get snail´s pace instead.
