If you tried the -novr and it didnt work try -nohmd. That 100% will fix the forced VR issue.

The issue is, all those facial muscle features and expressions aren't gonna be very important for most people. They want as freeform sex as possible (most want something they can control more directly), more positions, customizability, and some form of story. The story/development is more important than a girl being able to smile like a real woman.
I know it's a matter of opinion, I have no idea how many followers you have, but take a look at Wild Life (which I hate cuz it has almost no progress and rakes in hundreds of thousands of dollars) but they have some sort of story development.
It doesn't matter that your girls look much better, I mean, it isn't really that important yet.
What's important is, as you mention yourself. Is this a game or is it an animation showroom? If it's the former, that's what you should spend most time developing. Show us what's gonna make this interesting. Right now, it's just a "Choose your own position porn movie".

Is there censorship in this? I ask because the nipples on my character are quite blurry. Also, if I choose my character when I start, why do I start the game as the guy instead of the character I created?

There is no story here, it's just a sex simulator with a character creator. Reminds me of the old Ripened Peach sex sim.

Game is good but it needs much more sex poses to be something more than a demo like 50+ animations to be worth something on steam.Also different female voices would be much better or more variety of the moans because it gets repetitive after listening to the same thing after couple minutes. I would also suggest more in depth face customization if its going to be more focused on character creator because right now you are very limited on the eye/eyebrow/mouth category and all creations end up looking very similar.
